Change language to all users except admin

Hello
I hope this is the right forum.
I was wondering if there is a way to change the interface & keyboard languages to all regular users except the admin?
1. What I am trying to do is basically to change an English interface into a Russian. How do I do it. Is it have to do with adding/changing anything in GPO?
2. What files if any do I need to make a change like that?
The machine runs Windows Server 2008 R2
What I need is that not only the Windows interface will change, but possibly other software that run on the server will show Russian/Cyrillic

you wont change the OS language im quite sure of that. that need to be selected at point of install

Unix command to stop Software updates for all users except admins?

I want to stop App Store and other software updates for all user accounts. Administrator accounts should still be able to do Software Updates.
Is there a terminal command that can do that i can push out through ARD?

Managed preferences are the best bet. You could use Profile Manager or use the mcx command from the command line. I'd strongly suggest browsing over this before delving into MCX though...

Java closes IE for all users except admin - help!

I have citrix installed using AD and GPO's. If I login as administrator then I can use java fine. if I login as a user then anytime I try to goto a web site or luanch the java console it closes with no error messages. it is as if I didn't even run the application. I have enabled the setting int he GPO for java, is there another one I am mising?

I'd guess the 'legal' way to do this is via the Exchange Shell. Try Get-OWAVirtualDirectory | fl and see what the authentication methods are. Then try Get-ECPVirtualDirectory | fl
Try also looking at the properties of the ECP directory in IIS Manager, and see if IWA is enabled.
The settings should be configured using the shell, though, to make sure that what is stored in the Exchange configuration in AD correctly reflects what is set in IIS, which doesn't keep that sort of information in AD.

Changing the default keyboard language for all users via command line

I have about 250 computers, that I set the wrong default language on.
I am hoping someone here can help me. I have 3 keyboard languages installed in my labs,
En-English (United States)
Fr-French (Canada)
En-English (Canada)
I'd like to make the Fr-French (Canada) the default keyboard language for all users that login I have tried the following xml but it's not working. I do not see the problem any help would be appreciated.
I tried to run it by doing this

Acrobat Reader 11 MUI : Impossible to change Language for Final user.

I need to deploy AdbeReader on several PC.
On my enterprise, we have several language (english, french, deutch...)
I have configure MSI package with Adbe Customization Wizard. But on this tool we cannot choose "Set the language to the OS language..." By defaut, I choose English.
I have read on Adobe Reader document that by default, for MUI, we need to put 1 to this reg key :
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\(product)\(version)\Language\UseMUI\
In my case, it's ok.
But, when I install Adobe Reader with my mst file, application stay in english (even if I use a french computer).
And, if I try to change manually the language it does'nt works. Choose at application startup does'nt too. I have never the popup to choose the language.
Someone can help me ?

Language 11 & later SUPPRESSLANGSELECTION MUI installers only. The default of 1 does the following:
Sets the language to the OS language for all users.
Disables the language selection dialog on application startup for any user.
Sets HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\(product)\(version)\Language\UseMUI\bUserMUI to 1
This is particularly useful for multiuser installations where the language selection dialog would normally appear if a different user logs in, Citrix installations, and so on.
A value of 0 results in the language selection dialog appearing at first launch for every newly logged in user of the machine. For Acrobat this property is not applicable. When Acrobat is installed with MUL serial number and LANG_LIST=ALL, the launch language would be the same as OS language unless a language transform is also applied.

I know change the preference settings for a user, of course, but a have 160 users and a need to change some settings configuration one time on the server for all users.

[JS, CS3] a script to change language in all paragraph styles

Hi,
I made a script to change the language in all paragraph styles to "French", but when I run it I get the error: "Invalid request on root style". Could you please tell me what am I missing?

Script to change language to all Paragraph Styles?

Is there a script out there that will change the language of all styles in a document? I frequently need to take US English files with multiple folders of styles and convert them for Canada English and French. Find/replace language does well enough for one-off use but I would like to clean up file as I go for future use without going through each style one and a time.

If you are using OSX this AppleScript will change all the style definitions and text for the active document to French. Just edit the first line for the desired language so Canadian English would be: set lang to "English: Canadian"
set lang to "French"

    repeat with i from 1 to number of items in pstyles

            set applied language of item i of pstyles to lang

PO delivery date field to be made display for all users except one user

I have a specific requirement:
The delivery date field in PO should be made display only at the time of changing the PO. I know pretty well that this can be achieved thru Define Screen Layout at document level, which inturn will make this field disaply mode to all users.
But it should be in changeable mode only for one user. how can we achieve this.
Any ideas, please

Hi ,
You can create a authorization object(Z one) which can be assigned to the user id who need authorization of change .
In the exit , you can specify the logic that if SY-USER (current user) has the authorization id , the system will allow to change . If the user doesn't have the object in his roles , the system would not allow to change .
This will help in providing / removing access to any user id .

I live in Hong Kong because my job brought me here. I don't speak Chinese. I don't read Chinese. I don't even understand Chinese. When I log on to your desktop client, everything appears in English. When I log on to skype.com, everything appears in English. So please tell me why do you have to send me offers, news, surveys, and everything else in Chinese. I don't even know if you are sending the stuff to me in traditional or simplified Chinese and I don't want to copy and paste your email into GOOGLE Translate to understand what you are promoting. I went through account settings various times but I can't find any setting to change default language for all email communications.
I represent not only myself but a lot of friends I have made here in Hong Kong who literally go through the same pain. I have intentionally subscribed to Skype news and communications. But I am about receiving 1 or 2 more emails in an alient language away before I permanently block all Skype communications. And permanently blocking would be a lose-lose scenario for both of us because I really like Skype.
Anyways, the main point from this message is how do I change the language of all your email communications?

Delete all users except one?

hi there,
I'm in a lab environment where I need to be able to delete all user accounts except "Administrator" on remote machines from ARD that accumulate from unsuccessful syncs, etc.
Is it possible to run a selective rm -rf command that will do this? I've googled, but the solutions don't seem to work for me.

It says to use this command:
find . ! -name "*.ogg" -exec rm -f {} \;
Adapted for my purposes:
find . ! -name "administrator" -exec rm -rf {} \;
I tried this on a folder called "test" on my local machine with folders named 1, 2, and 3 (keeping 2) and it worked, but I want to make sure this is a good idea before I push it out via ARD to 90 workstations. Thanks!
