This is possible only via an user exit..else u need to copy this report into Zreport and can do the necessary changes there only.

Change Layout For Background Report

Hi,
I have a report that when executed in background - the light in frontground report running is shown as number. I want to change number into light when executed in nackground. Can somebody help? when we r running the report in background - we want some other processing based on field values.

if you are talking about Trafic lighs then it is not possible , but you can interpretate the values from the back ground output.

Change layout in standard reports

Friends,
Can anybody tell how to hide the unnecessary coloumns in std. reports. for ex.
S_ALR_87013648 i want to hide the commitment coloumn.

Ususlly these reports are made through a Report writter or by program for a specif purpose.
Go to SE93 and give the transaction there. The click on display.
In the following screen that appears try to identify the program this tocde is triggreing.
If its a reoprt writer one then go to report writer and do modifications by copying it. If you find this as a program then sit with your ABAPer and give your specifications.

My Menu - Add a Query Print Layout to the Report Folder

This is a newb question. I can easily add a Query or form or most anything else to the Folders under My Menus ... But how can I add a specific Print Query Layout to the Reports folder un My Menu?
I know it is simple but I can not find the steps in the documentation

I tried that, but it adds the Query not the QPLD to the menu.
I had figured that I could go the the QPLD memu and add the Report, but that adds the Query Print Layout Menu with all the reports.
I feel like I am missing something very obvious here!!!

Hide Change Layout Button in ALV report o/p for MB52 Tcode

Hi,
Is it possible to Hide Change Layout Button in ALV output for Report MB52 using authoriztaion.
We have created a layout in which we are hiding some coloumns which the user should not see.
But if the change layout button is active then the user can add those coloumns to output.
Is this possible through authorizations. I want to avoid doing any chnages to the std sap program.

Thank you for your answer but I would like to be more exact in my question because I already know how to set a Print Layout as default in a screen of SAP B1 like A/R Invoice by the way that Parlati has mentioned :
1. Open a blank AR Invoice (e.g. service or item type)
2. Click on Menu >> Tools >> Print Layout Designer... or pen icon on toolbar
3. With The Document Type selected - choose template and click on Set as Default
But I usually use the Query Manager Tool of SAP B1 to create new queries and reports and I use the Print Layout Designer to setup the layout of these reports. These reports are printed normally via the print preview Icon of the toolbar. But now I would like to know how can I set one of these Reports as default in A/R Invoice screen of SAP. Because it's a one of my customized Invoices.
Is there a way to do this?

R12: PO Print report not accepting custom layout

Hi All,
PO Print report is not picking up the custom layout in R12.
We have developed a custom layour ( .rtf).It works fine when run as a concurrent program.
But if we follow the standard navigations ( Inquire/View document ) generates the standard report only.
If any body has worked on similar type of issue anytime please let me know.

Still this bug is not rectified(6806428). Oracle has taken up new Enhancement request 9264442.
Funny that it will rectified in next version .
This db flaw in india localization which doest allow to pick sum of each taxes.

Changing Layout of BI 7 reports (not through Themes)

Hi,
Currently we have a couple of BI 7.0 reports integrated into portal.
We have also used Portal Themes to alter the Look and Feel of the BI reports with respect to Heading colors, alternate row colors etc. But the scope of changing the Look and feel of BI reports from the Portal theme is very limited.
We are interested in changing the Layout of the reports in BI. i.e. unlike the standard BI format of reports as generated from the Web Application designer, we would like to change the layout as well.
How is this layout change carried out? Web Templates?
If so please give me some links/documents to kickstart that.
Please note Portal Themes is not the solution for us as it doesnt allow us to change the Layout in terms of structure of the report. e.g There are many rows returned by a BI query. Instead of navigation down to see the total, we would like to have the Total as a cell on the top
I havent got much of a reply as yet from the BI forums. So I thought maybe any Portal consultants having knowledge on this might help.

                 You can find vendor list having Vendor No. & without showing total liability for every vendor.
after executing the report,
1.You need to select "change layout (ctrl+F8)",
a small window comes, it has two part -> column content & hidden fields.
then u select "Vendor" from hidden field & move it to column content.
2. at column content there is a column named "Total". u need to remove check for your column name "amount".
now select "copy" button or enter. u will find the req. report.
u can save it also by ur name.

By default if you're using the ALV List Display function module, there's no need for you to code the 'Change Layout' function, the standard function will be there, unless there's something you want and the standard 'Change Layout' function could not provide.
Go to Abap Editor and look for program with 'BALV*'. You'll get a whole list of DEMO program on ALV.

Cost Center field in ME55 Report (Change Layout)

Hi all,
In ME55 (Collective Release for PReq) Cost Center is available as one of the "Selection fields", but it's (Cost Center field) NOT available in Change Layout Function (after you execute the report).
The requirement is the user want to see the Cost Center field in the ME55 report layout instead of having to drill down to each PR to see the Cost Center assigned to the PR Account Assignment.
Since Cost Center field in NOT available in the Change Layout function of ME55, How do I add it to the layout? Do I need enhancement? If so what do i need to do?

If you mean the correspondence, you have to change the configuration in Financial Accounting -> AR and AP -> Business Transactions -> Outgoing Invoices -> Carry Out abd Check Settings for Correspondence. There, you need to assign your custom Program or Layout for the Correspondence Type (like SAP19) and Program.
If you mean the display layout in transaction FB03, You can change a few settings, mainly with BKPF and BSEG fields. I don't think you can add company address, though.

The object F_IT_ALV has a field, the activity ACTVT, which can
contain four permitted values: 01, 02, 03 and 70.
Activity 03 corresponds to the minimum authorization, which is the
most restricted one: You can only select layouts which have
been configured already. In particular, all of the other functions
named above are inactive with activity 03.
I guess that your user-id have set activity 03 for this object.
The SAP notes 374656 and 409190 are recommended.
So, if the values 01 and 02 are not included, then
the user can't change and save layouts.
For the line item display in FI the authorization
object FI_IT_ALV has been created as an extra security check in addi-
tion to the ALV authorization object S_ALV_LAYO.
Please check note 374656 where you should be able to find
relevant info about this. Also note 637554 should be helpful.
