Change lenght of an  incoming call ring...

how do I change lenght of an incoming call ring tone? I have missed several calls because I didn't get to the phone by the 4th ring. I need more time.

If you are in the U.S., call AT&T and request the length of time before a call goes to voicemail be increased to the maximum which is 30 seconds.

  • PAP-2T, make incoming calls ring in both phones/Lines?

    I have a PAP-2T. On this device I have connected two different phones, one connected to Line 1 and the other to Line 2. I have one SIP account with my provider. My provider has configured my account so that I can make two concurrent outgoing calls. My Lines are configured as the following;
    Line 1:
    Proxy: xxxx.sipserver.xxxx.xx
    Outbound Proxy: <blank>
    Register: Yes
    Register Expires: 3600
    Use Outbound Proxy: No
Use OB Proxy In Dialog: No
    Make Call Without Reg: No
    Ans Call Without Reg: No
    Line 2:
    Proxy: <blank>
    Outbound Proxy: xxxx.sipserver.xxxx.xx
    Register: No
    Register Expires: 3600
    Use Outbound Proxy: Yes
Use OB Proxy In Dialog: Yes
    Make Call Without Reg: Yes
    Ans Call Without Reg: No
Now, when I receive an incoming call, the phone connected to Line 1 rings. If I configure Line 2 like this,, Ans Call Without Reg: Yes,, the phone on Line 2 rings but not the one on Line 1.
My question is,, can I make both phones ring when I receive an incoming call?
If so, how do I configure the ATA to make that happen?

Cat2k1 what kind of probs do you hve with your phones ?
    - assume it's a DECT phone, try to change the ring voltage to 75V and ring waveform to trapezoid - this works better with problematic DECT phones
    - assume you're having an old analog phones, make sure the PAP2T's Line1 socket is only connected via 2wire interconnect cable (4wire cable on Line1 plus certain analog phones is a trouble-maker)
    - assume you use multiple analog phones on one line, you may consider increase the FXS power from 3 to let's say 5
    - assume you're having an old analog phone, it's ability to ring (if all the SIP comm works OK) is also affected by the FXS port impedance which must (shall) fit the phone's one.
    ====
On the other hand, shall you have problems with SIP communication between PAP2T an SIP operator, you shall enable NAT traversal and NAT keeplalive for the first on PAP2T settings

  • IPhone 5s incoming call rings on both headsets and speaker while headsets plugged in

Why my iphone 5s rings on both speaker and headsets in incoming call, while the headsets plugged in the phone?

    Hi Lucasethio,
That is expected behavior on a non-muted iPhone. If you mute/silence the ringer with the side switch, you should still hear the ringer through any plugged in headsets as well. You may also find the following article helpful:

  • When on a phone call and an incoming call rings in the display does not show who is calling in. My phone used to that and allow me an option to answer why?

When on a phone call and a second call rings in you do not see who it is or given the option to answer or ignore the call. My phone did that previously. Why would this be?

My phone is doing exactly the same thing... I tried changing the language as someone else suggested but it didn't work. It is very frustrating!!

  • Delay in incoming calls ringing on Lync for Windows Phone

When calling a Lync user on Windows Phone, even if the phone is connected via Wifi, the call takes about 10 seconds longer before it even starts ringing on Windows Phone. As a result it is frequently missed.
If the user is signed into the desktop client and Lync on Windows Phone, it rings immediately on the desktop client, no problem, and you can observe the delay.
Is this a known issue or limitation? Is there any way to reduce the time before the call rings on the phone?

    Hi,
Did the issue also happen on IOS devices and Android Devices?
You can test with IPhone and Android Phones to check the issue.
There are several known issues for Lync mobile, you can refer to the part of “Incoming calls or instant messages (IMs) for Lync on mobile broadband” in the link below:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/lync-help/lync-2013-known-issues-HA102919641.aspx
Please update to the latest version Lync for WPhone and test again.

  • The upgrade changed the look of incoming calls!

Is there any way to get the old look back for the incoming calls?  Now the photo comes up in a TINY circle instead of full screen like wallpaper and I can barely see it!  It was great when the phone rang and was sitting on the table across the room and you could see who was calling from the full size photo.
Folks at Apple need to realize that not everyone is 25!  Please put this back the way it was or tell me how to!
    Thank you.

That is how it is with iOS 7.1 and there isn't an option to change it. This forum is user to user support but you can provide feedback to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/

  • Incoming calls ringing time issue

I've been searching for any info regarding the possibility of lenghtening the time the phone will ring before the caller is cut off.
My phone will vibrate twice and ring twice and then cut the caller off.
I find this frustrating cause if you happen to be at a distsnce from the phone the vibration is useless and in two rings
you have no chance of getting there the result having to make your call back to caller!!!
Any help for this problem from anybody out there?

Try the follwoing GSM string :
    *61*[Phone Number]*11*[Time]#
In place of phone number put in your voice mail box number (call
your carrier to know that) and in place of time put any value i.e. 5,
10, 15, 20, 25 or 30. These values are seconds after which your calls
will be diverted/forwarded to voice mail. Setting a higher value will
    meet your query.
This string is applicable GSM carriers only.

  • 2 iPhones with separate numbers ring when incoming call

My wife and I have separate iPhones (5 and 5S) running iOS 8.2.  An incoming call rings on both phones.  Did not happen before I downloaded 8.2.

You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and change "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off on each device. It is a feature of Continuity: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT6337
It is for devices using the same Apple ID. You may want to consider/investigate using separate Apple IDs. That is now more practical with new Family Sharing features:  https://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/

  • Time on incoming calls

how do i advance the time a incoming call rings my phone goes to voice mail after 15sec would like 30 sec..???

The time the phone will ring before going to voicemail can't be changed.

  • Incoming calls on Bluetooth

Incoming calls ring through Bluetooth, but voice only works through Palm Pro (Sprint).  Soft reboots do not work.  Do not want to do hard reboots each day.  Does not seem to matter which Bluetooth device I use.  I have used three different Palm phones with Sprint (all with Microsoft Mobile) and several Bluetooth devices and it happens with each.  I went back to a wired headset for awhile but I need wireless.
Post relates to: Treo Pro T850 (Sprint)

I can only assume that you are doing this but I still make the mistake on occasion.  Make sure you are pushing the answer button On the headset.  If  you push the talk button on the phone, it will answer on the phone.  You can switch by simply pressing the button on your B/T headset.

  • Second incoming call mutes conversation

Have a UC540 with SPA525g2 telephones.  Phones, UC, and CCA are all of the latest and greatest version.  All incoming calls ring a blast group.  We have turned of call waiting tone.
If I am on my phone and a second call comes in it mutes the audio of the first call I am on so I can not hear anything the caller is saying.  It continues to do this until someone else in the group answers that call.  Any ideas on what is causing this?

    Hi Cass,
Is this a full mute or is this an intermittent mute? I.E it mutes the conversation in replacement of a beep??
It almost sounds like that the beeps have been removed but the system is compensating it with a temporary muting of the conversation, I do not believe that this is the intended behavior if this is the case.
    Cheers,
    David Trad.

  • Incoming calls to my iphone go straight to voice mail after 1 ring

    Can anyone help?

    Check,
Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding > It should be set to off - is there anything set here to automatically forward incoming calls?
if it is set to off, and all settings under control of your network provider are normal then it should work just fine.
For my network, the number of rings that it does before diverting to voice mail is also set by my network provider and is not something which I can change.
