Change licence from win to mac

Hello
I have PS Elemets & Premiere 8 for Windows. Now i changed to mac. Is it possible to change the licence to mac?

No. Up to PSE 8 licneses were platform specific and if at all, an exchange would only be possible for current versions. Since PSE 11 is already cross-platform, simply consider upgrading.

Svea support the license for Photoshop and Premiere Elements 13 is a multi platform license.  Have you downloaded the installation files and ran the installation with the serial number you received?

  • Just bought a mac.. want to change the ipod from win to mac

how can i do that and save the playlist, purchases, etc ??

You can transfer all of your song files from iPod to Mac using a third-party utility. Macs can read the Windows format, so it should work even if the iPod is formatted for Windows.
The free utility of choice for Mac seems to be Senuti.

(just noticed it's now shareware, but there is a 30-day trial).

  • Migrating from Win to Mac

    Hello,
I´m hoping to get my new MBP 13" in a couple of days. Due to the fact that all my computers are running Windows Vista, XP and Server, I´m totally new in the world of mac.
All I want to ask is: Is there any possibility to move my whole iTunes 8.2-library (with all podcasts, iphone backups/programs) from Windows Vista to my new macbook pro ? Do I need an external USB-HDD (formatted with NTFS at the moment) to transfer the data from system to system ? The problem from my point of view: iTunes for Windows stores the program folder, the library itself and the data in different folders.
And, sorry for off-topic in this forum: Is it possible to move my pictures (JPG, from digital camera) from my Windows HomeServer to the mac (iPhoto 09) ?
    Thanks a lot.

After reading some how-to´s, there a a few questions left.
All I want is to transfer my whole iTunes-data from Windows to Mac OS X. Some how-to´s tell me just to copy the iTunes for Windows-content to a FAT32/NTFS external USB-HDD besides the *.itl-file (=iTunes library) to the MAC OS folders. Another how-to tells me to export the library under Windows to a *.XML-file. Afterwards I would have to change the drive-letter like C: to the MAC-format - that´s all. No *.itl-file, just copying the content to the MAC-folder and importing the library-XML-file into iTunes for MAC.
Could someone help me out ? Which promises to be the better way ?
On Choosing the *.itl-way: Do I have to change pathes ? Does it contain pathes/drive letters ?
    Thanks.

  • Moving iTunes library from WIN to MAC os X with Parallels desktop

    Hi Everyone,
I just move from PC to MAC ! I would like to synchronize my itunes library (music and appli) with my iPhone / iPad in the new environment. I'm still using Win 7 under Parallels desktop under Mac os.
What is the best solution ?
Best regards and thank you for your attention and answer. Vincent

I don't think you can do this without using the Consolidate function (which requires you to have "Keep iTunes Music folder organised" and "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" checked).
However, if you were willing to accept a slight modification to your present set-up I think something could still be done. First you need to look at this article :
    http://lifehacker.com/software/itunes/geek-to-live--how-to-move-an-itunes-librar y-from-a-pc-to-mac-and-back-242468.php
Assuming you've followed that route, you now have all your WAV files in iTunes. Here you can adapt the Genre tag to sort / create playlists from not only what iTunes puts in there, but your own additional Genre information also (for example I've combined all my Soul R&B and Disco genres by adding the SRBD suffix to each separate genre then using that suffix to pull them all up if I want). I also use the Comment tag to store release date (or in my case, Chart Entry date, but it's the same principle).
Bottom line, I don't think you can exactly replicate your current setup, but I think you can modify it.

  • Changing platform from Windows to Mac - do I need to purchase a new license?

I am contemplating changing over from a Windows based computer to a Mac.  I recently upgraded from LR2 to LR3.  Do I need to purchase a new license?  How do I install my existing license no. on the Mac since I selected Windows when I upgraded.  Thank you.

You do not need a new license or a new serial number.  Just download the Mac version and use your existing serial number.

  • The best way to move 2TB of data from Win to Mac

    Hello,
what is the best way me to move 2TB (multiple files) data from windows to Mac?
I think that over the LAN, even using crossover cable connecting 1GB NICs would be painfully long. (Windows disk is quite fragmented)
If I put windows (ntfs partitioned) disc to one of Mac Pro bays, will Mac allows me to access the date on it?
if I take the disk of the windows PC and put it to [eSATA Hard Drive docking solution|http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/FWU2ES2HDK>, will Mac be able to mount it and let me copy the files from the windows disk?
Any other ways of moving 2TB data from windows to Mac?

Being able to read, also means, being able to mount said drive volumes.
Windows 7 64-bit (Pro version if you have dual processor, which at this time really isn't needed that much) would work fine too.
There are programs, some or most have their own limitations, allow Windows to read and write to Mac HFS+ file system volumes; or the reverse and allow Mac OS to read/write NTFS. None are what I call perfect.
Becuase of limitations in older file systems and partitioning, Apple and Microsoft have implemented support for volumes larger than 2TB with GPT to replace aging Master Boot Record (Windows 7 even can't run off MBR with volumes larger than 1.9TB). Mac Pro uses GPT and can boot from very large volumes.
eSATA docking stations. Depends on the interface and controller card if any, whether using SATA PCIe for one thing (you would not ever want to use USB though maybe USB3 PCIe if you can find one), therefore, use internal drive bays. Also, more concern with the drive temperature in one, they can get very warm in my experience.
But maybe you do, maybe you don't, actually need to move data, maybe just have it read-only accessible.
Putting the drive in a FW800 case would probably make the most sense, both now and for further use for booting (backup clones are handy and allowed) or for backup with Mac TimeMachine.
But I would install Windows 7 on your Mac Pro. I use GPT for data drives in Windows and to read from in Mac OS environment.

  • I need to change my Photoshop licence from PC to Mac, appreciate advice

    Could you advise me please.
I have a DVD/ROM copy of Photoshop CS6 for PC and am going to change to an Apple MAC in December 2014 or January 2014.
I understand from the Cambridge Apple Store that it is possible to “migrate” the licence provided it is uninstalled from my current Windows PC.
Hoping this to be true could you advise the procedure I need to adopt once I have the Mac up and running.
    Many thanks
    Ian Raymant

Here's the link to the Adobe page for a platform swap:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/order-product-platform-language-swap.htm l
I believe they still do it for CS6.  In the past you had to have the most recent version, otherwise you had to upgrade (e.g. if you had CS5 and wanted to swap you upgraded to CS6).  But now that CC is out, I don't know if CS6 is considered a current version or not.  I'd think that page wouldn't exist anymore if it wasn't, since CC is dual platform.  Give it a shot, let us know if it worked.

  • Changing plat forms from Win to Mac, Can we move 6 x Win licensed versions of Acrobat Pro 9 to Mac?

We have 6 x Win Acrobat 9 Pro licenses - Any recommendations on how we could utilise these licensed versions on the new system and or is there an upgrade path?

There is no normal upgrade path, all usual purchases stay in the same platform. So you could upgrade to Acrobat Pro 11 for Windows.
However, there is such a thing as a "crossgrade" to cross platforms. If you had Acrobat Pro 11 for Windows, and contacted Adobe they MIGHT sell a crossgrade. Equally they MIGHT sell you a crossgrade from Acrobat Pro 9 Windows to Acrobat Pro 11 Mac. They will not sell, so far as we hear, a crossgrade from Acrobat Pro 9 Windows to Acrobat Pro 9 Mac; licenses for unsupported versions are never sold.
You might also want to look at volume licensing.

  • Change from Win to Mac

Can I change my photoshop license from windows pc to mac? or even use it on both systems?

    Thanks 99jon.
You can activate your Creative Cloud subscription on up to two computers. The operating system can be Windows or Mac OS X.
The Creative Cloud FAQ at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html under the Getting started section answers this too.
Can I use the software I download from Creative Cloud on multiple computers?
Yes, you can install and activate Creative Cloud desktop applications on two computers, regardless of operating system, for the individual associated with the Creative Cloud membership. See the product license agreements page for more information.
