Change limits in inspection lot

Dear All,
I have question, In the result recording screen (Transaction is QE51N,QE11,etc) there are some option that are not available, I mean they are found disable that I can't click & check the functionality of it. E.g. In RR screen Goto>Change unit to be insp.>All four function for this node are not available. Can any one make me clear why it's so this and what should I do to to use/activate it.
I have came across this functionality because of an online query.
In one in process inspection lot the user has rectified the pH limit was wrong and I had and extreme urgent requirement to correct it.
I have suggested them to use unplanned MIC in place of this wrong MIC and force close the wrong one or reverse the entire process.

Yes, I believe flexible specs came into play with 5.0? Not sure.
You'll have to read the help on implementing them as I haven't had that opportunity on an implementation. Just in playing in a sandbox and training.
I can give you some info. Flexible specs were developed for the stability functionality. Basically, you create a universal plan with all the inspection characteristics on it. When you create the lot, you can select any characterisitics from this plan and add them to your lot. You can then modify the tolerances and certain other settings for each characteristic.
To implement this outside of the stability functionality there are a couple of BAPi's you have to implement. (I don't know them off the top of my head).
This is not a process that you want to use as a standard business process for day-to-day testing. It's best application I think is for doing things like testing competitive samples, or pilot plant testing, maybe customer technical investigations. The one off stuff.

Update of Order Changes in Inspection Lots

Hi all,
Is it possible to update production order changes in an inspection lot automaticaly with inspection lot origin 04?
I know this is possible with inspection lot origin 03, but we use 04 in our company.

Follow-up action : please help - Inspection Lot related

I am having the following trouble:
Through MB02, a printout is generated to the local printer (LOCL).
However, through QA11, when we save, we have a custom follow-up action attached that pops-up a
dialog screen.
The follow up action is triggered when a usage decision is changed for the inspection lot.
The follow-up action (configured in IMG) calls a Function Module and a screen, which in turn populates
a value into a custom DB table (based on the buttons, on the screen, sending either to LOCL or to a
zebra printer).
Now, what has to happen is that after inserting the value into a custom table, it should also open a sapscript and output.
The Sapscript and print program are there, with the print program being created 3-4 years ago by someone
else. However, even though we have code in the print program to update nast, in turn creating a message
for output (1st the custom DB table is checked to see if the values match, MATNRCHARG), It does not update
NAST. When we go through MB02, it does, but this should happen automatically after selecting one of the radio
buttons on the original pop-up & selecting print.
Please help. I don't know what to do and can't enable a debugger from the pop-up and if going though QA11,
I can't get it to stop inside the print program (only inside the custom FM).

Inspection lot processing?

This case happens when Inspection lot Status has CRTD status. In this case you need to check whether Inspection Plan is assigned or not for particular Inspection Lot.
You can check this by using tcode QA02/ by going QA32 & click on Change Inspection lot.
For assign Inspection plan, go to Change mode of Inspection lot & click on Task List/Specif. button. Once Plan assigned System Status changed from CRTD to REL. Now you able to do RR & UD of that inspection lot.

In QA14 will only allow to change UD without changing Stock posting(Without history).
& stock posting is completed .So you can not enale it.
For this what you can is go to QA32 -->select lots with UD...enter plant & Material.
Go to Details & change UD
In Inspection lot stock...Check the Quantity if you have partially posted.
Post the remaining Qty if any.
Save
This will allow you to cancel GR (102 mvt) as QI stock becomes Nil
While cancellation og Gr pick Qty from Unrestricted & not from QI ( Blank & not X)

Inspection lot system status shows CRTD PASG

While running Calibration scenario in PM , Order generated with inspection lot.
But when we go for Change data for inspection lot system status shows CRTD PASG, its not in released state.

Pl check ur task list has been assigned to maintenace plan
Once u assign U will be need to manualy release the Inspection lot by using QA02.
You can go to QA02 and in the inspection specification Tab click on Task list push button , You may have to change the key date adjacent to the push button in same tab to say today's date. Since the specs are not got assigned to it.
Now go to sample tab and click on calculator.
Save your transaction Lot will be in REL state.

Change of Inspection Lot Specifications at the time of lot creation

We are using In-process inspeciton.
At the time of Production Order release an Inspection Lot is created automatically.
We want the Lot Specification values to be changed based up on the Configuration of the Sales Order.
Is there any User Exit or BADI that can be used for this purpose?

Hii,
Lot specifcation values cannot be changed once inspection lot is created. If u know specification only after creation of inspection lot then u include unplanned inspection charcteristics. Here u can define spec after lot creation also.

How to change the Status CRTD of the Inspection Lot?

Dear all.
I want to Complete an Inspection Lot 10000000005 In the T-CODE qvm2.When I select the Inspection Lot 10000000005 and press F8 to Complete the Inspection,the SAP show an error message "Status check error".
And the detail info show that the error was cause by the Status CRTD of the Inspection Lot.I check the Status of the Inspection Lot 10000000005 and found that it's Status was CRTD CHCR SPRQ.My question was how to change the Status CRTD of the Inspection Lot?

CRTD means ...
In material master QM vew-inspection setup->Inspect with task list tick is there.
Now to change status,
Go to Qp01>create a task list for material(If not exists)>remember date of creation of task list must be prior to date to creation of inspec lot
If task list is created/exists>go to QA02.<inspection specification -->click on Inspec Spec
and attach task list
go to sample tab....click on sample.
Now save it.
Status will change to REL

Inspection Lot status not getting changed to LTCA from REL for SubCon scenario

Dear All,
For ERSA material 01 inspection type is active with indicator Post to inspection stock only as it can be purchased. No other indicator is set.
This material can be sent for repairing outside with DAMAGE valuation type (stock provided to Vendor with DAMAGE valuation type).
For SubCon scenario, Purchase Order with Account Assignment Category F and Item Category L has been created.
Once GR using MB01 with 101 movement, consumption posting takes place and as Insp type 01 is active Inspection lot is getting created with status REL CALC.
At this time, DAMAGE stock against Vendor is getting reduced with Qty of 543 movement.
Now when, reversal 102 with MB01 is done against Purchase Order and details are adopted with reference to 101 material document, reversal is taking place, but at the same time respective material doc's Inspection lot status is not getting changed to LTCA. It remains REL only.
For 122 return to Vendor using MBRL also, Insp lot status is not getting changed.
Has anybody faced such issue? Is this standard SAP?
Kindly throw light on the process, is correct process followed?

May I ask what are you refer to for MM? It seems like movement type to me, however, I can't find movement type field in the structure within the component of EXIT_SAPLQAAT_002. Appreciate if you could shed some light on this.

Yes.. you are correct. But with the info that is provided by EXIT_SAPLQAAT_002, you should be able to identify the proper material document in table MSEG which will have the material movement.
You can use the values of plant, batch, material number, Purchase order number, Order number, item number, storage location as well as the current date since the exit would normally be executed on the same date the material movement was done. You'd also probably only execute the logic if QKZ is "X".

Mass change in Inspection lote, when assigning UD Code.

Dear all,
curently we are facing an issue of having to mass change inspection lotes when assigning UD code.
The senario is as follows:
using the tcode QA16 I can mass assign UD code for various inspection lotes using the option "in background". The requisition of the client is, however, to enter also a description text, for all the lotes treated. I an use the tcode QA16 and run a UD manual option, that lets me enter a long text for each inspection lote, along with assigning UD code. That is not acceptable, since there are daily hundrets of lots, we are talking about. That makes the manual option very time consuming.
Anyone had a similar issue? What I am looking for here is some exit, or other type of solution that allows me basically replicate the long text (the same for all treated lots) for various lots automatically. I was thinkig of QA16, making some necessary adjustments, but I not sure if it will serve for this purpose.

I think you would need to go for BDC to achieve this. Since this is required on daily basis, you should run BDC to enter the long text against the UD for each batch. This should work.

Recurring inspection lot status "created" changed automatically to "Release" without change history

Dear Experts,
I observed that for few materials recurring inspection lot (inspection lot origin 09) status from "CRTD CHCR SPRQ" to "REL CALC SPRQ PRSI" changed automatically without manual interruption.
I have thoroughly checked the change documents in status management, but the there is change history found.
can anyone help me understand the root cause of the issue?

Note : System status CRTD because there is no Insp.plan master data for particular material
Check & create Inspection plan for material & also check the Material master QM view Insp.set up tab.
Suppose if already created Insp.plan for material,then you need to assign Insp.plan manually in QA32 select the insp.lot line & click change Insp.lot icon in Header ,click spec.& save
Then system status change from CRTD to REL.

Does anyone know of any BAPI or FM which can change usage decision on inspection lot. I'm already aware of BAPI_INSPLOT_SETUSAGEDECISION. This only works when there is no UD on inspection lot.

Inspection Lot quantity change (lot origin 03) when Prod. ord. qty changes?

Hi,
it seems that for an inspection lot, with lot origin 03:Production, its Inpsection Lot qty doesnt change when the Production order Total Quantity field changes. Only the Actual Inspection Lot changes.
How can the Inspection lot quantity field of the Inspection Lot be changed accordingly?
Should the enhancement PPCO0007 be used?and then LOSMENGE (table QALS) =GAMNG (table AFKO)
Can it be done?

In that case, you can do it by :
- Reread the master data of production order(From Menu Bar).
- The status of production order will be converted from "Released" to "Created".
- Release the production order again.
