Change loading icon

Hi, ther's a way to change the loading icon? I use the javascript API, but i don't find any way to do this. Can someone help me? Thanks

Default image loading icon changed

Hello,
I installed a social app that has hijacked my "image loading" icon.
What I mean is that when I am using ANY app that requires time to download an image, the icon that displays on the screen to indicate that there is a pending image loading has changed and been hijacked by this social app.
I have wiped my ipad to factory defaults and set it up as a new ipad WITHOUT syncing any data. I downloaded an app fresh like dropbox and flickr stacker, and the chat app image remains (Even though the social app has NOT been installed on this fresh wipe) when pending an image download
I'm hoping somone has an idea as how to get rid of this blasted artifact!

If I remember well, in the Report Attributes, you should select the linked column. At the link image, there are 2 edit images(the default is the big one), but there is one more image which is smaller.

You won't lose anything because you have a back up, right?
Most Simple Back Up
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex:
Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically. Examples of such apps: Chronosync or DejaVu . But are many others. Search on MacUpdate
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Clicking on links in safari just gives a loading icon

I am using Yosemite 10.10.1 and ran into this problem just a few days ago. Whenever I click on a link, the mouse just changes to the loading icon and nothing on the page changes. This has happened when I click on anything on youtube, try to play a video on couch tuner, and on some other sites. Is anyone else having this problem and what can I do to fix it?

Go step by step by step and test.
1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
    Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
    Restart the computer.
    Start up in Safe Mode.

2. Delete Caches.db
    Close all windows and quit all applications.
    Hold "option" key down and click "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.
    Select "Library" from the dropdown.
    Library > Caches > com.apple.Safari > Caches.db
    Right click the Caches.db file and select "Move To Trash.
    Close windows and relaunch Safari.
3. Empty Caches
    Safari > Preference > Advanced
    Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
    Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
    Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
4. Delete Cookies
    Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
    Click “Remove All Website Data”.
5. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
    Turn off Extensions if any and launch Safari again to test.
    Turn on those one by one and test.

Changing iPhone icons/9 page limit

Hello, I was wondering if currently there was any way to change the icons used on the iPhone like you can in OSX. Also, I've hit an app barrier at 9 pages and cannot load in anymore. Is there anyway to expand beyond this limit? There are so many cool applications at the App Store! I hate to pick and choose. Thank you for your time.

I appreciate your comments, and I suspect you are correct, Apple DID have reasons for leaving the icon limit at 9 pages. However, I disagree with your premise that those reasons are technical.
I program embedded systems for a living, and believe me, there is no TECHNICAL reason for that limit. More likely, it was the expedient thing to do to get software out the door to meet a deadline, with the justification that "we can fix it later in an update."
C'mon, how many bytes does an icon use? a few K or so? And how large are the apps those icons represent? Hundreds of k to many meg? It's not really about the number of icons that should be the limit, its how many MB of apps can you store, and that's not limited to "9 pages worth" according to the memory usage bar I see in iTunes.
I've read several comments from people along the lines of "why would you ever need more than 144 apps?!" Apparently, these people have only 2 pair of pants (why would you ever need more than two, one to wear and one to wash?!?) one pen and or pencil, one television, etc.
Let me ask you, how many songs do you have on your iPod? Pick any number, and according to that logic, I can certainly ask why in the world you would need to have that many!? I personally have almost filled my 80Gb iPod with music. Try and convince anyone that they only really need to have 50 songs, and if they want others, just "simply switch them out..." You may not remember the classic "why would anyone ever need more than 64k of ram?" argument that was made in the early 80's with some of the first "personal" computers(!)
I think you get the idea.
It's not about how many I USE, it's about how many I have with me when I'm traveling, and don't have access to my iTunes computer. It's about how many I get to choose from when I'm in the mood for a game. It's about not having to make a choice of which particular ones I think I'll want on a trip, it's having all of them available, with me, wherever I go. Isn't that kinda the point?
The good thing is that I have no doubt in a future release, Apple will update their firmware to handle as many apps as you have memory for, and maybe even give us (now, hold your breath!) FOLDERS to organize this sea of icons! Wow, what a concept!

The photos on orkut not loading properly,the loading icon is not functioning

while I am visiting orkut by using mozilla-firefox,it is seen that while I open the photo album of my friend, is not working properly.The loading icon found on the photo is not functioning and the picture seems to be hazy.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Lightroom Swirling Load icon stays visible

I am using Lightroom 2.3 to create a web-flash gallery. Everything works fine except when I try to make the background transparent <backgroundBgImg alpha="0.0" src=""/> <backgroundBgColor alpha="0.0" color="100d0b"/> the swirling load icon stays visible. It stops swirling and the images load however the gray circular icon stays on the screen. Is there a way to get rid of it so I can use the transparent background or at least change the color of the swirl to match my page <body> background? Ted Pillera [email protected]

Might be hard to get help on the old 2.x version.

Hi,
I want to change the default loading image to my custom image. There are couple of style class availabe.

Loading icon shows up

I recently got a brand new blackberry, haven't dropped it or anything all i've done is loaded some new apps on it, and the loading icon keeps showing up. I can still go through all the screens but it keeps popping up, very annoying, if any one has any answer please respond!!

I wouldn't think so, you have plenty of free memory. Are you using facebook? Are you closing your apps properly? Check what is running in the background by holding down the ALT key and pressing and releasing the back key to the right of your trackball. The only things that should be there are browser, PTT, BB messenger, home, messages and phone. If there is anything else there hightlight it and let go of the alt key to open it, then close it properly by hitting the menu key and selecting close or exit. Also click on your browser icon. Hit the menu key and select options then cache operations. Clear all listed. Then hit the back key. Then finally do a battery pull with the phone on and leave it out for 30 seconds. Replace it. Any change?

Loading icon doubts

Hi,
I've got a page that takes around 2 secs to display. The reason is a pl/sql process executed before/after header.
This page contains just links to other pages.
I've searched around but I haven't managed to find anything suitable for me. It probably is a lack of proper understanding of how it works.
What I am trying to achieve is to display a loading icon with a greyed out div until the page is rendered.
I've tried the onload event but the pl/sql process is still executed before and therefore the loading icon only appears for a millisec after of the 2 secs of no "apparent" activity.
I guess my problem is the pl/sql process but i can't figure out how to implement a solution for my problem.
I would appreciate any help/guidance.

It seems that the generated page is downloaded to the user browser only after all page processes finish. That is why you are experiencing that behavior, and I don't think this can be changed...
What does exactly your process do? Would it be an option to call it after the page is loaded using ajax and a application process?
Another option would be to show the loading icon in the calling page -- so it would be immediatelly visible, even if the called page takes all those long 2 seconds to show.
Another further option would be to create an in-between page, which would simply display the loading icon and redirect to the main target page.

8.1.2 6plus Facebook stuck on loading icon and blank page

As the title states, once in a week when I open Facebook all that appears is the loading icon and it stays that way. I can't tap the bottom options either (messages, notifications etc.). If I kill the app/restart the phone and re-open facebook, the same loading icon appears. I have to delete and re-install app in order to use normally again. Anyone else experience this? TIA

That happens occasionally with the Facebook App. It's probably due to a problem on (or communicating to) the Facebook servers or just a bug in the App. There's not much that you can do about it until Facebook fixes their problems.

Are you referring to your iCloud account picture or your user picture?
It looks like you are referring to your user picture. To change it, open System Preferences > Users & Groups, press the picture box and choose the user picture you want from the ones that came by default. If you want to select a different picture stored on your Mac, drag that photo onto the picture box.
If you want to change your iCloud account picture, open http://www.icloud.com and log in with your Apple ID. Then, press your name at the top right of the site and press the user picture. If you put the cursor on the picture box, you will see a button at the top of the box to change your picture

How I change the icon for iTunes songs?

When I drag iTunes songs onto my desktop the icon is white with a gray iTunes icon. How can change this icon for all of my iTunes songs?

Thanks Patrick. I used Control-Click on the actual audio file on my desktop opened the Show View Options menu and turned off the icon preview option. That changed my icons from gray with a white background to red with a white background which is exactly what I wanted. You pointed me in the right direction. Appreciate it.

If you have a external USB enclosure - trying installing your hard drive in that enclosure and connect it to your usb port - restart your macbook while holding down the options key. If you Macbook boots to your desktop then you have a faulty cable. If you get the same error, then your hard drive just died on you.
