Change Locale

Hi all,
is it possible to change the locale of an WebDynPro applicatin after it was loaded?
What I want is something like a dropdown-box with available locales, the user can then select one and the webdynpro gets reloaded. After that reload the whole application should be in the new language.
I translated the needed .xlf-files and everything works more or less fine via the browser-based language setting (Accept-Language header) at least after i close all browser windows. Same goes for the "sap-locale" URL-parameter, I need to close all browser windows.
There seems to be no possibility to change the language "on-the-fly" after a webdynpro application is loaded, am I right? I only found one single setLanguage()-function in IWDJCOClientConnection but I dont know how this could help me...

thanks for your answer.
The problem I have is that if I start the application with i.e. http://myserver.com:50100/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/MyApplication/MyApplication?sap-locale=en (works as intended, the app is in english) and after that change the sap-locale parameter to "de" without closing all browser windows the application won't change the language and remains english.. I think there is kind of a chaching mechanism that prevents this from working.
So you say you managed to makes things work almost as I intended. Could you please provide me with some sample code?

about Project 2007? We have Project 2007 SP3, and (a) it doesn't have an Office Button like the core Office 2007 products, and (b) the SharePoint Local Drafts folder isn't listed in the Save options. Please advise!

What's the best way to create and change local workstation account details?

Hi,
I need to change local password of an account on a number of our domain based machines. Or create the user if it doesn't exist.
We have over 200 machines so this will need to be done as a bulk job.
I've looked into doing this by GPO Preferences, but it appears that MS have removed this functionality with a hotfix.
What's the best way of doing this now, as I would have through that this is a feature that most organisations would require.

I understand you. However, based on my understanding, from the standpoint of security, Microsoft has chosen to deprecate this function, for it’s not secure to set passwords

I Want to change local currency for company that already have a data.
So From 1996 - 2010 that company used local currency SGD. Now 2011 will be change to USD.
all previous data no need to change.
Can I just change local currency in T-code UCWB?

Yes all previous data will remain the same and only the opening balances and onward have the new local currency.
Make the master data change as well as including the translation method in the balance carry forward task in the configuration (UCWB) before it is executed. This will cause the balance carry forward to translate the old LC to the new LC for the opening balances.

Can CR 2008(build off Multilingual Universe) change locale as WebI does?

Description of Problem:
    An OEM Customer wants to know if Crystal Report 2008, which is built off Multilingual Universe, could change locale on User-Locale switch(for example, switch Infoview/IE locale).
    In BOE XI R3, Universe can maintain multilingual info, so that the front-end WebI can change locale automatically. This feature works fine for WebIs, however it doesn't seemt to work for CR 2008 when the report is built off a multilingual Universe.
    Is there any idea how to utilize the Universe feature in CR2008?

2012R2 VDI how to change "local virtual desktop creation location" for collection

Hi,
I want to change "local virtual desktop creation location" for existing collection but this setting is grayed. This location is not exists anymore and I cannot add new VM's to collection.
If there is no way to do this if it possible to create new collection and move old VM's there?

I assume that you mean virtual desktop storage location, which I don’t think that we can change this setting for an existing collection.
You can create a new collection, during the creation process, you will be able to select a different storage location for new VMs.

Then loan process is successfully, but i can read ever. because i change my local machine datetime when the content is expired. i hope Digital editions is can detect when user change local mechine datetime. but i can't how i do configure this.
second, i set DeviceType of content to public /always online /. Digital Editions throw information "Document is not licensed for this machine" when i loan the content.
What i do now?

XID-- Change Local User SAPServiceXID to Domain\SAPServicesXID

Hi All.
We have to change local SAPServiceXID User to Domain\SAPServiceXID User
boths users are administrators into the Administrator Group.
If we start the three central instances(Database,Abap,JAVA) with local User there is no problem.
when we replace the local user to Domain\user and tries access to http://Host:50000/rep -->The page cannot be displayed, but in SAP Manage Console, the service green and from TCODE SMICM Java stack is green too.
any idea??

i think that xfa.localeSet.name = "en_US" isn't the right way to change locale... any other idea?
the fact is that some numeric fields display grouping and decimal separated in the wrong way.

Change Locale / UI Text Options of Photoshop CS4

Sorry to bug you all but I've searched the answer to this for two days and can't find anything.
I recently installed CS4 Design Premium on a PC running Windows 7. When I resize an image (Image>Image Size), the dialog window always displays the Document Size in centimeters. Unfortunately I'm in the U.S. and haven't yet converted to the metric system and it's a royal pain to change the drop-down to inches each time.
In my "Locales" folder the only subdirectory that exists is, "en_GB". In Edit>Preferences>Interface:UI Text Options:UI Language there is only one option available which is "English: UK". I'm pretty sure that during the initial install of the suite I selected "United States" as my Locale. And is there any reason to have a drop-down with only one choice and no means of adding others (no need to answer this one, I'm just thinking out loud)?
Is there any way to add the United States as a Locale without having to re-install the Suite?

The locale for the main program is defined by the serial, not necessarily by your language selection. Shared components derive their locale from this as well and/or in part from the system setting. That issue with installs wrongly using en_GB is quite common, though. It usually occurs when other Adobe software with shared components already was on the system and coerced the installer into using the wrong language. However, short of reinstalling everything Adobe after having sweeped clean with uninstalls and the CS4 Clean Script, there is no way to resolve this.

Changing locale generates ORA-12705: invalid or unknown NLS parameter error

By mistake I changed the default locale with following code:
Locale.setDefault(new Locale(localeCode))
and I get:

Change local connection string on remote server

Hello,
I have searched every post and tried every connection string there but can't figure out how to connect to my database on my remote server. I am using Visual Developer 2005 Express Edition in C# and uploading it to a Windows server running asp.net 2.0. The domain has not resolved yet.
I am so new to this and have followed many tutorials step by step but none of them address this issue. They just show how to upload it to the server.
Do I need to use the SQL server provided by my host or can the database stay in the App_Data folder?
My local connection string works locally:

How to change local adjustment brush size when unselecting ?

Perhaps a stupid beginners question but i cannot seem to find this one..
Using the local adjustment brush i can change the size of the brush using the [ and ] brackets
However.. when i make a small error and want to erase brushed-area by using the ALT key then the brush size seems to be fixed to one size ???

As they say, there are lots of ways to skin a cat.
Erase mode uses a different setting for the brush size. You can adjust it, but not with the brackets while the Alt key is held down.With the Alt held down, you can still move the size slider in the brush panel with the mouse.
I can't speak for Macs, but on Windows, my scroll wheel works to change the size of the brush, whether the alt key is pressed or not.
If that won't work for you, you can click on the "Erase" text button in the brush panel and then use the bracket keys to change sizes. You'll be in erase mode even without holding down the Alt key. In fact, in that mode, holding the Alt key puts you back in "paint" mode.

Hi I have a process chain in already in Production. I made few changes in Dev for testing and saved as local object. Now, I need to transport those changes to prod. So, I need to change in BW package not in local object. I I don't know how to change it..I am deleting the changes and redoing it to see if the pop-up would come so that I can save not in local object...but it's not poping up anything..could anyone please help me.

So if you follow the steps that I wrote, you will not actually be doing the transport...it will just collect all objects required to do a successful transport (variants, processes and InfoPackages etc). At the top will be the process chain name. You can select it and right click and choose Change Package. When you chnage the package and save, it will pop up for the request. Assign the same request to all other objects that may be $tmp. Then you can hand over this request number to your Basis team.
