Use the CDHDR and CDPOS table for change data log...Use the input table as :
In case of class type check table INOB
In case of class type other than check table KSSK
check it in SE16 tcode...

Go to the T code Mass , put the object as KNA1 for customers .
Execute the same and you will find all the option available for making mass changes .
In case if your requirement does not meet here then you will have to go for a LSMW .

What is the impact - Activating Change Logs for Material Classification Dta

To activate Change Logs for Material Classification Data I must first set the flag for "Multiple Objs Allowed" for the Class Type 001 Material Class. I am curious of what the impact of setting this flag will be. Also, is there a way to measure the DASD impact of activating the Change logging for this data.

In addition to the performance impact the process of turning on Change Logs for Classification data will convert the tables KSSK and AUSP to use an internal SAP number as a key instead of the Material number. This will cause problems for any custom programs that access those files directly and expect the material number to be the key. This file conversion occurs during the execution of program RCCLUKA2 which is used to Flag the change logs for existing records. This can be reversed by running report RMCLINOB. Because of the above impact we decided here to NOT implement this change in production.

Chnage log for classisication data of material

Hi All,
From last two day's i have trapped with this problem.
We have requirement where we have to send IDOC to our EDI partners for any change in material master data and calssification data of material.
We will run a batch say every day which will chech for these changes and if there are any changes then it will send IDOCs for these materials.
Now, problem is we are able to track changes in material master through tables CDHDR,CDPOS. But we are not able to find out change log for classification data of material.So, our basic problem is to identifiy change in classification data of material.
Now my question to all guru's is:
Is there any way to track these changes or table which record that changes?
NOte: One thing i want to tell, If you go to MM02 transaction, gove material no. and select basic data1, basic data2, calssification data.Then on output screen there is Blue info button, if you press that button it will give you last change info...from where it is comimng?

For that classification data fields
there is no change log option checked in the data element level.
or there is no associated changelog class.
check in <b>SCDO</b> transaction for change log class.

HOW TO USE FUNCTION Deletion of Requests from the Change Log IN PRCSES CHAN

i used Deletion of Requests from PSA from the prcess chain and found good results, now i have only one request at the psa and thus i am doing good space utililisation. but when i am using Deletion of Requests from the Change Log i am not getting any changes in the request of dso. kindly let me know how to use this 2nd function.

Hi Mahodaya,
As per SAp standards its good to delete the requestes that are no longer needed for the delta update and no longer used ffor inti from the change log table and the data is loaded already in to DSO.
Goto RSPC
Click on create New PC -> enter the PC name n long descp
Next we need to define the start process for the PC.Maintain the start variant process.save n come back.
for deletion of change log we have option in the Other BW Processes -> deletion of requestes from change log
Once u select the option we get a dialoge box here we need to create the variant for the process enter the process variant n long descp. cick ok.
Next in the maintenance screen for the deleting the request from change log table will appear.
Enter the selection patterns to which the requestes should be deleted from the change log.
In the maintenance screen, select one or more Data Store objects for which requests are to be deleted from the relevant change log tables under Data Store Object column and select theInfo Area of the corresponding Data Store Objects under Info Area
If you select the first check box exclude selction pattern, this means that del of requests from change log table will be ignored.

We can delete the requests which are Older than N-number of days (or) date in the above screen. For this one, enter the number of days (or) date in the filed Older than .
OR
If we want to select the requests with a certain status then we can also do in the above screen. We can select the following status indicators from the above screen.
Delete Successfully Updated Requests Only -This status will delete only requests which
are successfully updated into corresponding Data Store objects.
Delete Incorrect Requests that were not Updated - This status will delete only incorrect requests which are not successfully updated into the corresponding Data Store Objects.
Delete Activation Requests only, No Load requests- This status will delete only the activation requests (requests that begin with ODSR_... ). No load requests are deleted.

Read Change Logs of KP26/KP27

How to read change logs of kp26 transaction. I am unable to view the change logs in CDHDR table. COST table contains all the information, but i need changes log history by date.

Thanks for your reply. If the changes are not available in CDHDR table, then that means that changes logs are not available for these transactions.
We are able to see all changes logs in KP26 when we select any item and click on line item on application tool bar
Could you please let me know if there is any way to capture changes logs for these transactions.

Logging of changes to material classifications in GTS

is there a possibility to look up, if / when a user has changed the classification of a material?
Have tried to find a /SAPSLL/C* table but either there is none or it slipped through when checking... maybe there is another possibility.

Logged changes in infotype data.
There is a program RPUAUD00 provided by SAP, which allows us to see any
Changes that happens to data in an infotype through add / modify / delete.
When you execute this program and specify the employee code and
Infotype in the selection screen, it gives us details of when the data was changed, who changed the data and what data was changed in a particular infotype.
There are few standard info types like 0000, 0001, 0002 and few of your own created info types starting with 9 (9XXX) for which you are able to see the log through this program.
But there are certain other info types like 0008, 0581 for which this log is not coming.
There are some configurations or customizing is to be done so that this log starts generating for these info types and RPUADU00 can read it.
The IMG menu path is:
Personnel Management > Personnel Administration > Tools > Revision > Set up
Change document
When you execute this node choose
'HR Documents - info types to be logged'
Add entries in this table to audit more info types.
Transaction class A is for HR master data, class B is for applicant data.

Material Classification Data changes

Hello,
I need to track the changes done to material classification data.
I can not see changes through MM04 transcation. Is there any way i can see the table where changes are stored or way changes are tracked?

Hi,
Generally CDPOS & CDHDR are the history tables but cannot see the classification related changes. As i mentioned above tables can see the changes of classification, but make sure that for the related field "Log data changes" indicator checkbox need to select in SE11. If you are not able to check this box please refer the OSS Note 943559 . Thanking you.

Change Documents for Material Classification data Changes

Dear Friends,
We have configured custom classification objects for material master and also we are able to maintain the material characteristics using MM01, MM02 and also using ALE interface. But I am not able to find the Change Documents in any of the table CDHDR & CDPOS. Please let me know what needs to be done to capture the change documents for a material classification changes in this case.

Change logging of all Classification (including Material Classification) is controlled in the Class type configuration.
SPRO -> Cross Application Components -> Classification System -> Classes -> Maintain Object types and Class types -> Select Object Table = MARA -> Double Click Class Types under MARA -> Select Class Type 001 and Display -> Check whether "Change Docs" check box is checked on.
Also check that another flag "Chg. docs for Class" is set on all Objects under the Class type too (by double clicking the Objects folder for a Class type).
If the Change docs flag is checked on for the relevant Class type and Object then change docs are logged in CDHDR and CDPOS tables for object "CLASSIFY"
Also the "Change docs" flag cannot be set unless the "Multiple objects allowed" flag is also set in the Class type configuration.

Also the above note says and I quote: If "Multiple objects allowed" indicator is not set, start the RCCLUKA2 program. The classification data are converted and the indicator 'Multiple object types allowed' is set. Now you can set the indicator 'Change documents' in Customizing of the class type. However, it only says that change documents are generally possible for this class type. Therefore you have to select objects under 'OBJECTS' for which the change documents are to be written.
So if the Class type doesn't have "Multiple objects allowed" set (along with Change docs flag not set), there is also a conversion that needs to be run using program RCCLUKA2.
Also when you transport the configuration to a target system, the program RCCLUKA2 should be run again, refer [Note 379180 - Classification data disappeared|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/379180 ]

Need suggestion to get data from change log table of ODS.

There is a case where i am loading opportunity header data from header ODS and opportunity item data from item ODS in the opportunity cube.
Status (1= OPEN, 2= WON ETC) of the opportunity are available only in header ODS and not in item ODS.
While loading data from header ODS to cube, I am loading it directly but while loading data from item ODS to cube i am using active data table of header ODS as a lookup in the update rule from item ODS to cube. I am selecting status from the active data table of header ODS while loading data from item ODS to cube.
Since active data table will have only after image records, there is some data mismatch in the report as i am selecting data from active data table of header ODS while loading data from item ODS to cube.
I need to select data from Change log in order to get before image also instead of active data table in order to overcome this issue. Is there any way by which i can do selection from Change log instead of active data table as change logs are generated at run time.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Hi,
You can use the changelog table of the DSO.
Right click manage the Header DSO, go to the contents tab and click Change Log table. There you can see the technical name of the Change Log table.
In the update rule Routine, give the tech name of Change log table instead of Active table name.

How to delete Change log data from a DSO?

Hello Experts,
I am trying to delete the change log data for a DSO which has some 80 Cr records in it.
I am trying to follow the standard procedure by using the process chain variant and giving the no.of days but somehow data is not getting deleted.
However the process chain is completing successfully with G state.
Please let me know if there are any other ways to delete the data.

Then there might something wrong at your Chang log deletion variant.
can you recreate changlog deletion variants and set them again.
Ty to check below settings with new variant.
Red mark - won't select
Provide dso name and info area, older than and select blue mark.
blue mark - it will delete only successfully loaded request which are older than N days.
Have you tested this process type changlog deletion before moving to prod per your data flow?

Change Logs for customer master data in 3.1 H version

Hello All
Are they any existing reports or change logs for viewing changes to customer master data in 3.1h version. I want to be able to report based on changes made to customer master.
I know there is a good report in 6.0 version for this- S_ALR_87012182.
If I have to develop a custom program for this in 3.1h. Which table I should use? KNA1 or CDPOS.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

Hi,
Please check the filter settings maintained for the adapter object CUSTOMER in R3AC1. The same filter settings can be referred in tables Table: CRMFILTAB (R/3) and SMOFFILTAB(CRM) as per srinivas's reply.
Check the sales area of the customer maintained (Sales Area, Division, Distribution Channel etc.) and see if the current filter settings are restricting the customer from getting replicated in CRM. If everything is maintained fine then check for any failure Bdocs in SMW01 or SMW02.

Table data change logs

I have created a customer table. I want to log the data changes in the table. So in the technical settings of the table i have checked log data changes checkbox. When i tried to see the change logs using transaction SCU3, the logs are not available. Kindly help.
What is the table name in which this logs are stored?

To use the change document functionality in your application, proceed as follows:
Define the change document object
Check in the Dictionary, whether the data elements of the fields which are to be logged are flagged appropriately.
Generate the update.
Program the appropriate calls in your program.
