Hi Experts,
Can you please tell me how can I change the Logical System of a WBS element (LOGSYSTEM field in PRPS table). I found one BAPI (BAPI_BUS2054_CHANGE_MULTI) but it does not contain the field LOGSYSTEM. Is there any other BAPI for this

After system copy,
If you need to change logical system names in the system that results from the copy, change the logical system names as described in SAP Notes 103228 and 544509.

Before running BDLS to change the logical system name, you have to define the correct logical system name in the new copied system. in tcode BD54.
- while running BDLS, execute in background.

Changing Status Profile for WBS Element

How can we change the Status Profile for the WBS Elements.
say for Eg : need to chage status Profile Z0000005 to Z0000008
where they reflect in DB Table JSTO for OBJNR in filed STSMA

New outputs generated when changing logical system in output master record

Hi!
We are sending documents from ECC 5 to a legacy system via XI/PI. We are about to move from an old XI installation to a new PI installation. The output record used (for example in a billing document) is set up based on logical system. When moving from the old to the new platform, we need to change the output records from the old logical syste to the new logical system. However this leads to generation of new outputs in all billing docs when opened in change mode. This goes also for billing docs where we already generated outputs via lthe old logical system in the past. Is there any solution to prevent the automatic generation of outputs for documents where the condition type already was successfully processed (as it works when the logical system is not changed)?

Normally the same output is not supposed to be generated, unless 'Multiple issuing' checkbox is checked in the output type configuration.
Also you can probably add a requirement in the output determination procedure and check if output record already exists. Take a look at the standard 'Reprint' routine, kind of the opposite is needed in this case.

there is no logical system name for business system in sld on integration tab.
this bus sys is based on tech sys which is configured as integration server.
plz tell me how to give the logical sys name there.

I'm actually having the same issue. This issue is NOT the popular adapter-specific identifier problem where the business system in the ID needs to be compared with the SLD. This issue is that the within the SLD on PI 7.0 the Logical System Name of a given business system is not present although the logical system name of the specified technical system does appear. You cannot change the LSN of the business system since it relies completely on the LSN of the associated technical system.
I used Jochen's approach before and it worked, but i've tried this again since i'm having the same issue. Only now it doesn't work.
i solved this issue by deleting the old BS and recreating it

Can i change AUC attached to wBS element.

1) can i change the AUC attached to WBS element ?
2) user has already posted some entries to WBS but not settled so far. Can i change the AUC now ?
3) In another WBS user has already settled to AUC the postings made in the firest month. I can change the AUC to that WBS element?

As some of members also indicated, if you have created the AUC from IM then you cannot replace it with other AUC after deleting the first one. However, you can create another WBSE, create AUC (automatically if with IM). NOw you can JV or transer the amount posted to previous WBSE as credit posting. YOu can JV/tansfer the amount to new WBSE as debit posting.
When settlement occurs, the previous AUC will get credit posting and will be zeroed, and the new AUC will get debit posting by regular settlement from new WBSE.

Changing Logical System after System Copy

We just did a system copy of our Production system onto our QA system. I created the new Logical Name (QR3) through BD54 but when I try to change it in SCC4, it will not allow me to.
Do I need to make this change through another transaction?

another way to change the logical system
name is to run /nbdls with the system copy option.
This will also create the logical system name
and update the scc4 entry for you. As well
as that it will change all reference to the old
logical system name to the new one.
This is especially important if your SAP system
connects to others eg CRM, BW, APO etc.

Changing Logical System Names

Currently, each instance(SID) in an entire landscape all have the same logical system name and the RFC name that corresponds is all the same. You really don't know what system the RFC is pointing to until you open it up and see which server, etc. is listed in the RFC. So, we are working on a project so that each instance has it's own unique logical system name. The biggest problem we are concerned about is making sure that we change all the places where these definitions exist. I have a small list of transactions that need these items changed (SM59, SALE, SCC4, RSA1, SMQR, SMQS, SBIW, SPRO (this is a tough one)). We realize we will depend on our application teams heavily to know where they changed any configuration to use logical systems. My question is to see if anybody has done this type of change, if they have any tips/guidance, to see if anybody can give some good direction on where to find all the places these LS names are used, and if anybody else can throw out any other transaction suggestions that we should check. I think you should examine the reasons why it would not work before asking if you can do it. One reason for us was archiving. We regularly archive off data only keeping the last 3-7 years of data in the system for some tables. Changing the logical system ID for us would mean it would be impossible to reload some of that archived data, without customizing or a new development effort.
So if your questions is can you do it? Yes, you can do it.
If the question is should you do it? .....Well, then you need to examine why or why not in your own environment. There are likely to be pitfalls especially if its usage is widespread at your company as you indicate.

Change Logical System BW

Hi all,
our basis team changed the logical system name of our BW-Development system (no system copie!!!) becaues the name wasn`t corresponding to the defined naming conventions...
Now when using RSA1 we receive the message "Logical system name has been changed for this system" ok thats clear.
So my question: can I change it back in table T000 and everything is ok again? `
What do I have to consider if I change the logical system name of a already existing and used BW-system or is this not possible?

Changing logical system name on ECC

Hi,
We have made copy of production to our test environment. Next, we created a number of copies of the test environment. We now want to hook the copies up to BI, XI etc. where we don't have multiple test environments, which means that a single BI test instance will support several ECC test instances as an example. This means that our ECC instances will have to have their logical system name changes changed in addition to the obvious SID change. We have a fairly comprehensive landscape with GRC, XRPM, BI, SolMan, CRM connected to our ECC instance. What areas of concern would you consider important to test once the logical system name changes are done? We are looking at the ALE, RFC connections, BI connections. Change user status for WBS Elements

Hi All,
I am working on a workflow related to PS milestones.
When a milestone is achieved the user status has to be set for that WBS element and to all the WBS elements that are next to it.
I have tried to use the FM (ran FM independently as standalone), CJDW_INTEGRATED_USRSTAT_CHANGE with PROJECT NUMBER as input, but it throws an error NOT FOUND.
I have gone through the documentation of it also, which says that user has to prefil the structure PROJ before this FM is called, which i could not understand.
So can please anyone tell me, about the usage of this FM and how to run it so as to change the user status.

it is possible to have status with radio button and check box, by keeping status with status number and without status number.
But I doubt about your requirement whether it is possible in standard or not.
Please search SDN forums for some exit / BAdii which you can modify status profile.

Change Logic System in BW

I had problems with the definition of the logic system in BW, what I described by unfamiliarity with the same code as that of R3 while attempting to create the system source tells me that this already exists.
Remove BW client in order to return to the allocation and make allocations again, but to execute the transaction RSA1 me wrong evoking the initial logic system.
How can eliminate this reference, without having to reinstall BW?
I tried using the BDLS transaction, the system allowed me to create source but will not let me do anything else.

Se me presentaron problemas con la definición del sistema lógico en BW, por desconocimiento lo definí con el mismo código que el de R3 y al intentar crear el sistema fuente, me indica que este ya existe.
Elimine el cliente en BW para poder volver a hacer la asignación y realice las asignaciones nuevamente, pero al ejecutar la transacción RSA1 me da error evocando al sistema lógico inicial.
¿Como se puede eliminar esta referencia, sin tener que volver a instalar BW?
Probé utilizando la transacción BDLS, me permitió crear el sistema fuente pero no me deja hacer nada más.

Hello,
in the transport connection of the Administrator Workbench there is a special collection mode for system copies. Select your Source system and use this mode. All source system dependend objects are collected in a transport request. Export this request, connect your new source system and maintain the translation of logical system names in the Admin Workbench. Then reimport the transpor request and all datasources, transferrules etc. are then 'copied' to the new source system. Have a look in SAP note 886102.

Hi,
You can create a Transaction Variant for the transaction VA02 in which you have to maintain the WBS Element field as output only.
1. Go to SHD0, enter VA02 in Transaction & give a name to the transaction variant and press Create.
2. Enter an order no., go to the item "Account Assignment" tab.
3. Check "Output Only" against WBS Element in the screen listing all the tabstrips & Fields.
4. Exit & Save.
You will be returned to the SHD0 screen.
Select the "Standard Variants" Tab under "Standard Vriants" tab. Press activate to activate the Transaction Variant.
Go to VA02 to test the variant. You will get the WBS Element disabled.
Revert in case of any doubts.

JDBC to Idoc scenario - change of logical system name

Hi,
I have a JDBC to idoc scenario that worked. Now i had to change the logical system name from my sender system from ABC_123 into ABC123 in the SLD (Business System - Integration - Logical System name). I did so and also refreshed my Cache.
Afterwards I started the process, but it failed in the Receiver system. The idoc is correct expect of the partner name. My receiver system expect ABC123 - as I changed in the SLD - but PI send ABC_123.
If io look in SXI_CACHE - Services my Business System still got the "old" name (ABC_123).
Did i miss something resp. how can i load the current configuration from SLD?

Hi Michael,
Again Import the changed logical system in the Integration directory of you PI system.
And check the scenario (Sender Agreement, Receiver agreement ) what system they are reflecting.
If they are showing old system then you have to replace the business system in all the scenario.
