Change magnification-factor in Bridge...

Hello!
The magnifier in Bridge suddenly shows 200% preview.
I don't know what I did that it changed (before it showed 100%).
How can I change to 100% again?
(Mac User, non scrolling Mouse, Bridge CS4)
Thanks!
Jo

To change the magnification of the Loupe, use Command + (plus), and Command - (minus).
Note:  if the image is already being previewed at 100% or higher in the Preview pane because it's a small image, you may not be able to go below 200% or more.
Finally, there's a Bridge forum, in case you have further questions:

  • JPEG "Done" Changes not appearing in Bridge

Sorry if this has already been covered, but I didn't see an exact answer in the forum. I am using CS3 and ACR 4.1 in Windows Vista. When I conduct changes in a RAW file and hit "Done" I see the effects and circular icon indicating such in the thumbnails and preview in Bridge.
However, when I do the same with JPEGs, open them in ACR, conduct changes and then press "Done", I do not see the effects in Bridge, even if I purge the cache. The changes are seen if I open the JPEG in Photoshop and then save it, but that seems like a pain in the neck if I'm not doing any actual editing in Photoshop.
    Any help would be great!

When the changes don't appear, it is consistent with the thumbnails and the preview. The size of the JPEG doesn't seem contributing factor. Sometimes a changed JPEG will only appear in Bridge as a blank thumbnail with no image whatsoever. Sometimes, in those instances, the preview will show the image.
Actually, I have just stopped worrying about the issue because there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to correct the problem. Generally speaking, I like using Bridge anyway. It occasionally crash on me for no apparent reason. But it will usually restart without problems, and then it seems to work fine with the rest of the day. I just think there are a lot of unresolved issues with Bridge. Maybe if we all had state of the art computers with lots of memory, and dedicated only to Photoshop/Bridge, things would be different.

  • Camera raw changes color in adobe bridge and photoshop

Hi all, I am quite new to use RAW. I have raw files that I want to edit. Unfortunately, the moment I click on the raw files, the color changes.
Is there anything I should do to the color setting?
I am using a canon 20d and Adobe Photoshop, Bridge CS 3 and Adobe Camere Raw 4.0

The image is indeed rife with red color.
The fact that the embedded JPEG isn't quite as oversaturated with red as Adobe's conversion with the lowest color temperature of 2000 just says that Canon's conversions have more range at the low-end of the color temperature setting.
This is the color from the embedded JPEG.  Clearly it's dominated by a reddish-orange color, though not as red as that from Adobe's software.
This is the color from Adobe Camera Raw's conversion at the (low-end minimum) color temperature of 2000:
This is the photo converted with Canon DPP using "click white balance" on the bridge beam on the left:
Note, however, that (though the dropper seems to have incredible range) DPP does not allow you to specifically SET a color temperature lower than 2500K, which yields this color:
The bottom line here is that the "Click White Balance" function in Canon's DPP has far more range than ACR, where even the white balance dropper "mins out" at 2000K.
That's something the Adobe folks may want to look into, to extend the range of ACR's capabilities to suit this kind of IR photography.

  • Why Does the Photograph's Preview Change in Lightroom and Bridge? | The Complete Picture with Julieanne Kost | Adobe TV

In this video tutorial Julieanne explains one of the great mysteries of Lightroom and Bridge – why Lightroom (or Bridge) displays a photograph one way and then changes the way it looks a moment later. It will all become clear with just a little information about how digital camera files are captured and displayed by different applications.
    http://adobe.ly/LiGnOc

This tutorial was outstanding in explaining why Bridge and LR may have different renditions of the same photograph as well as why it changes after a few seconds.  This camera calibration video is one of the best that I have seen.

  • Camera raw images change colour in adobe bridge

I have photoshop CS4 and import my camera raw images into Adobe Bridge.  When I view the thumbnails in bridge my raw images look vibrant and exactly like they appear on the camera but when I go to open them in camera raw edit they change colour and look washed out before I've made any changes.  Can anyone help me figure out how to correct this?

My camera is set to shoot sRGB JPGs and is set to all zeros for the brightness/contrast/saturation parameters.
What is your camera set to as far as these basic toning settings, as well as any automatic things like DLighting or highlight compression and perhaps any custom curves or whatever that is called for Nikons?
First paragraph - so is mine.
Second paragraph - all other settings are neutral/zeroed/turned off, as per my post to which you responded. That is, no additional tone curves - Active D-Lighting turned OFF (why anyone would let the camera decide what to do do with highlights and shadows is beyond my level of trust) , Jpg compression is Optimal (least possible) et cetera.
Think I now have an explanation for the different displays in ACR (and Bridge) that I have been experiencing. Took a new duplicate Jpg/Raw shot with the in-camera Picture Control set to Neutral. Now, when both the Jpg and .NEF Raw are viewed in ACR, with the ACR Camera profile set to Camera Neutral, they appear, ASAICT, identical. Saved Camera Neutral as the default ACR Camera profile. Now back in Bridge, the images also appear pretty much identical.
I think what was happening previously was that I had failed to save Camera Standard in ACR as the default Camera profile, and it was defaulting to Adobe Standard, and hence it was rendering Raw thumbnails for Bridge to that Camera profile - hence the difference in appearance between the Jpg and Raw in Bridge. Unless I have got it completely wrong,  I think my problem is now solved.

  • Metadata changes not showing in Bridge

I have added some metadata to some files in Lightroom (both keywords and some IPTC info like city, country, etc).
But when I look at the files in Bridge CS2, I don't see the changes.
Do I need to commit the cahnges somehow?
    Per-Gunnar

This problem seems to work in other way also:
If I edit RAW picture in lightroom, give it rating, flag and color label, they doesn't show in bridge. However, if I put keywords in Bridge _after_ editing image in lightroom, keywords never show up in LR.

  • Change background in Adobe Bridge Web Gallery

    Hi,
I am trying to use a web gallery created with adobe bridge in my webpage. I have inserted gallery in an <iframe>.  The gallery shows up just fine.  I would like to have the background of the webpage show up rather than the background of the web gallery. How can I do this? Also, I would like to change the appearance of the captions under the pictures. Also the gallery shifts left in interbet explorer. Can this be fixed?

Try opening in Chrome or Firefox and inspecting the elements. You can turn easily locate the CSS that's driving the background and experiment with settings. You get there by right clicking on an element and select Inspect Element from the options. It's much easier than trying to go through all of that HTML code without a style sheet to go along with it.

  • Changing Meta Data in Bridge CS4

    I have Bridge CS4.
I imported about 800 photos from two cameras.
Unfortunately the date of one of the cameras was incorrect an so I cannot sort in true sequential date/time captured.
What I do have is a list of two halves. One half Camera 1 in sequence followed by Camera 2, in sequence.
I need to mesh the images in actual/correct time captured in an automated, non-manual way.
I selected File > File Info... > and put the correct date in the IPTC tab. Nothing changed, so I'm not sure how to complete the process.
Given the number of images that I require to re-date I would like to make a batch change to the date only....the time element is near enough.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Camera RAW changes not staying in Bridge/Photoshop

    Hi all,
I've started having trouble with changes in Camera RAW not sticking once they're closed. I've got the XMP files, and Bridge shows the little icon to show it's been changed, but the changes aren't staying. I've tried clearing the cache, restarting the program and rebooting to no avail. To answer the preferred questions:
    Photoshop CC, 14.2.1 64x
    Totally updated
    Windows 8.1 Pro
    Nikon d800 RAW (NEF) files
    No error messages
Making adjustments in Camera RAW (Photoshop) and then clicking 'done' when complete. This has always in the past saved the changes made until I make more, reset them, or delete the XMP file.
    Always worked previously
Chrome, anti-virus. Never been an issue previously. Bridge usually runs at the same time.
Using a Microsoft Surface Pro, 4GB RAM, over 50GB free on the drive. No changes made to the system, since I let it run as-is. No updates to hardware, no brushes, no plugins.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply, Trevor! I've been on this internets for a long while now, and the first thing i notice in forums are that people never seem to follow the posting guidelines and never seem to provide info that's needed to help them (see: many photog forums where people ask for lens/camera recs and never tell us budget, needs, current equipment, or what they actually WANT to photograph!), so I find it's expedient to actually provide necessary information! Gettng gold stars for well-thought out, thorough explanations: what a novel concept!
Incidentally, I think I just worked it out. I added my external drive to my desktop PC to see if there was a difference, then noticed the same issue occurring. I had a sudden thought that the preview thumbnail wasn't showing up, and realised that the option to choose preview settings ('generate 100% previews' or 'prefer embedded') will make the edits disappear if you also have the cache purged.
    Cheers anyway!

  • Can you change the factor on each item in the same pricelist!

In the pricelists, if you go in them you'll see it shows the item code, item description then base price, factor and then the price. But can you make that factor different for each item in the same pricelist? In the database it stores the factor for each item.
    Any answer is appreciated.

First-of-all you should know that you are not supposed to override SAP Business One data in the database through SQL...
In the application the factor column is read-only in case it is displayed.
This indicates that the factor is not expected to be different per item. Instead, if you change the item price, the "Manual" flag gets automatically checked.
I.e. either you use the factor for the price list for the item as well - or you specify a manual price.
These are the scenarios expected by the applications logic.
If you change that (violating the rules not to use SQL for writes), you do that at your own risk and risk unexpected behavior.

  • CS3 - Change magnification of Source/Program windows?

I'm working in Premiere Pro CS3 and I've successfully imported some video.  I can change the size of the windows themselves (50%, fit, etc).  However, the image itself inside the windows continues to display at 100%.  This means that at the "fit" windowsize, I'm seeing the top left corner of the image only.
When I stop the video playback and click on the video itself, I see a set of scale controls over the image, which looks perfectly scaled to the window size.  But as soon as I engage playback, the video blows up to 100% size inside a small window, leaving me without a clear look at my full footage.
I'm a Photoshop person and I'm looking for the equivalent of the Zoom tool to get a larger or smaller view of the full video.  Is there a way to change this, or is my only option to open out the panels as large as possible to see the whole picture?
Thanks, I hope this makes sense.

    MandyRose,
With a Project Preset of Desktop (Custom) set to 640 x 480 PAR = 1.0 (Square Pixels) and matching source footage, which the info in Project Panel verifies, this should not be happening. Going back to your Project Preset, can you check one more time that you have chosen Desktop, with the above specs. ? What you show is what one would get with a mismatch between the Project Preset and the source footage. That's why I'm bothering you with that one bit. I've thought that I had chosen properly, experienced similar, only to find that I had clicked one selection above, or below, or forgot to change my Frame Size in the dialog screen. In the Toolbar, you can go to Project>Project Settings and display the General settings chosen for the Project.
if I set my view to something larger than my screen can display (for example, 75% or 100%) it stretches and distorts the image within the size of the panel.
That other magnifications show only a portion of the source footage's Frame Size is correct. Depending on the size of the Program Monitor, one would have to scroll around higher magnifications, when they are chosen, instead of Fit. That it "stretches and distorts" is not.
I realize this just might be a limitation of Premiere that it always displays this way, but it just seems as though it should show me the full clip (reduced to fit the window) while I'm working with it.
PrPro's Program Monitor is an emulation, albeit a pretty good one. This is not normal behavior. That is why I'm looking for one setting that is not correct.
In the Timeline, Rt-click on the Clip, and check whether Scale to Frame is checked. If so, what happens if you uncheck it?
One other place to check would be the Effects Control Panel and twirl-down Motion, looking at Scale, to make sure that nothing has been applies there. Scale should be set to 100%.
That is all that I can think of at this moment. I'm sure that I am missing other places to check. If I can come up with any, I'll post them back with more questions.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • WAD: function to change scaling factors

    Hi,
in the web application designer, i would like to insert a button that changes the scaling factors of certain key figures in the report.
i cannot find a function in the WAD to influence the scaling factor of a key figure.
    any help?
    thx!

    Hi,
Use the following link to find the required functions to set the scaling factors
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sem60ep1/helpdata/en/e3/e60138fede083de10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm
The function used is <b>SCALING_FACTOR</b> you have values next to it to display how u like.
You can define all the properties of a Query and Infoobject using the commands.
    Cheers.

  • Changing scaling factor for each cell in Bex Analyzer

    Hi,
We have a query with 2 structure (1 structure in rows, 1 in columns). We execute the query with Bex Analyzer in Excel.
We would like to change the scaling factor for each cell. If we use the function 'Properties' for the active cell (context menu), we can change the scaling factor only for one cell.
Is it possible to change it for the complete table?
We use BI 7.0, patch 14.
    Thanks,

Have you got the solution for this problem?

  • Why can't I add/change NEF metadata in Bridge after CS3 re-install?

After a recent unplanned changeover to Windows 7, during which I had to re-install CS3, I now find that I can't add metadata keywords to NEF images taken and archived before the re-install, nor can I add keywords to image metadata that was originally written before the change. If one image is selected I get an error message saying an error occurred when it tried to write to the keyword list. If I select All images (including some new TIFFs that are edits of older NEFs), I get a message saying some of the metadata can't be changed, and asking do I want to proceed? [I can add keywords to the new TIFFs (post re-install) but not the older NEFs. I can also add keywords to new NEFs, just not the older ones.] How can I "unlock" the metadata?

    Probably one of 2 things.
The images have been relabeled "read only".  Open Windows Explorer and click on properties.
There may also be a permissions issue.  Close Bridge and right click on icon to choose "run as administrator".  See if that solves problem.
