Change Management Request will not change from Status New

When I create a new Change Request the Status is listed as New. The Status never changes from "New" to "Pending" or "In Progress." In addition, my Review Activity Status is blank and I cannot approve the Change Request.
Any ideas?

1. Stop the 3 System Center Management services on the Service Manager Management Server responsible for your workflows:
System Center Management
System Center Data Access Service
System Center Management Configuration
Note: Technically, I likely could have gotten away with just stopping the System Center Management service, but I wanted to give this server a fresh start.
2. Delete the contents of the C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012\Service Manager\Health Service State folder.
Make sure the Health Service Store folder and the .edb files in it are deleted.
3. Restart the 3 services listed above.
4. Verify the contents of the C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012\Service Manager\Health Service State folder are recreated.
5. The SRs in the “New” state should start processing and progress into the ”In Progress” state.

Running Windows 7 64-bit on 650gb drive.
Error: "The system media does not support this computer. You are not able to restore this system with the media."
I'm about to order the recovery discs from HP and with any luck be able to bring this laptop back to factory conditionn with all the correct partitions and sizes after I format the hard drive.

Yes our recovery disks will return your unit to the factory state. All the software that came with the unit will be reinstalled. Whatever you added you will have to reinstall.

Trying to import photos and copy as DNG. Nothing will upload though. Permissions are all accurate, saving to the right profile, etc. Nothing has changed on my computer but it will not let me import new pictures. Also, updated the software and some images

With the code purple error on the screen, press shift+f10 (the shift key and the F10 key (at the top of the keyboard) at the same time) to open a little screen called a command prompt. (So, you get a little black screen with white text that says something about your Windows verison first and a little ways down you'll see "C:\>".   It's all ready for you to start typing.)
Type the following line, just as you see it here...
notepad C:\hp\bin\checkdmi\checkdmi.cmd
so it will look like this

1. The PC will not boot the System Restore CD's
2. The Original OS install and [HP_RECOVERY] disk sector has been severely damaged by
all of the following:
   A. Massive Virus Infections as shown by Kaspersky Virus Scan and cleaned up.
   B. The user had originally updated the pc to Vista Business Express Upgrade
       (Supplied by HP with the original purchase and warranty).
        (Prior to the upgrade, Media Center was working correctly.)
   C. The original OS product key(XP Media Center Ed. 2005) has been changed by the Vista Business Express upgrade.
   D. The destructve recovery done by PC-Doctor has done user file damage(s).
   E. All software, and possibly hardware could be corrupted & damaged by viruses,
   incomplete recovery, and the unknown failures and conditions.
To sum up, the system is locked in an unknown state, waiting for expert help.
(I can allow and manage to let someone diagnose, repair remotely using another OS i.e.Linux Opensuse 12.1, or XP Home ed if needed.)

Ideally there should not be any impact of OS change, but officially PSE5 is not supported on Win7.
What exactly happens ? Can you see the processes running in Task-manager?

If the same website is opening each time you launch a browser (Safari?) hold down the shift key as you launch to prevent previous pages from opening.
Have a look at your settings in Safari > Preferences. Especially General and Privacy.
Reset Safari to remove cookies and other stored data.

My new Officejet Pro 8500a on a Windows XP machine will not print from the Internet.

I just purchased and installed an Officejet Pro 8500a all-in-one and everything seems to work fine except that the maachine will not print from the internet. I use Windows XP home and and the Firefox browser. The printer is connected directly to the computer, and is not directly connected to the Internet or any other network.

The Officejet 8500 printers take individual ink cartridges (IIC); that machine requires that all cartridges be installed to ensure that the printhead does not get damaged. Ink is used in the printer not just for printing, but maintain the printer and the printhead. One can reduce the amount of color ink the printer uses by changing the printer settings to Grayscale or use black ink only. Page 34 of the user manual shows how one can change those settings when printing documents. For further information on how ink is used in the printer; one can look as this page here where it goes into detail on the different ways that ink is used in the printer.
I would just replace the color cartridge that the printer indicates needs replacing when the machine alerts you to low ink. I would not replace all colors at once when only one is in need of replacing.

Hard disk not recognised - will not boot from cd & No FW Target Disk mode

some help would be greatly appreciated.
Some time ago i was switching internal hard drives around and wound up with a kernel panic of some sort (see my previous posts).
following on from this I have tried FW target disk mode with no success, and it will not boot from a retail Tiger install disc (this machine has tiger installed (i think!). I can't force a boot from the optical drive and i also can't even force it to eject the disc inside to try another install DVD/CD (I have panther discs lying around also).
when i start up with the c key nothing happens, but when i start up with the alt/option key i get a closed padlock symbol, password entry field and a "right facing arrow" button.
anyone got any clues with this? i'm guessing it could either and/or be an internal hard drive ribbon failure (i have swapped internal HDs multiple times in this machine, which can't be good for it) or the familiar PRAM problem (although why would it not boot from an install DVD if this was the case?). I have changed the power supply unit in the past due to having a power cable snap off inside the original one - damage to PRAM caused by this?

Hi, Jesse. Remove the hard drive and its cable, then see whether you can start up from a CD or DVD. If that works, replace your hard drive cable.

Programs will not open from Dock

I have updated my Macbook Pro with Yosemite which has led to - a lot. Programs will not open from Dock, they are just revealed in Finder. Scrolling with mousebuttons in a browser will zoom instead of scroll, the courser will not change after changing tool in Indesign. Just to mention a few problems i have discovered so far. I think I was an idiot to uppgrade to Yosemite. PLEASE HELP!

Open Disk Utility and Repair Permissions, then quit DU and Restart the MBP. If that does not clear the issues, restart again holding the Command and R keys, and from Utilities on the menu bar select Install Mac OS X. That will reinstall Yosemite but leave your content and settings intact. See if that repairs whatever is broken.

Managed server will not start

I have a new WebLogic 10 server and none of the new app servers will start. Gets the message "the Node Manager associated with machine sitportal1 is not reachable.
All of the servers selected are currently in a state which is incompatible with this operation or are not associated with a running Node Manager or you are not authorized to perform the action requested. No action will be performed. " When I check the node manager logs (node manager service IS running) it has the error lsited below. I found this solution but not sure how to check or verify it. *Solution:
It could be that the CA certificates sent to the server are being shown in the wrong order for the chain. Review the CAs and see if the order such as Public, Intermediate, Root CA is respected. *

This is a Common Error.
1.Make sure your Admin Server is in Running mode.
2.Make sure that your Managed Server is in shutdown mode.
3.Make sure that your domain mapping is correct.
4.Any domain created before creation of Node Manager Service will not be accessible via node Manager(even after restarting node manager), solution is to run the WLST command “nmEnroll” to enroll that domain with the Node Manager.
Here are the steps to do "nmEnroll".
Example:
cd $BEA_HOME\user_projects\domains\<domain_name>\bin
setDomainEnv.cmd
java weblogic.WLST
wls> connect(‘weblogic’,'weblogic’,
‘t3://mymachine.mydomain:7001′)
wls> nmEnroll(‘C:\bea\user_projects\domains/<domainName>’, ‘C:\bea\wlserver_<version>/common/nodemanager’)
5.Start your Node Manager and look for the logs where it specifies the Domain Mapping Path.
6.Verify the domain path.
7.Now Start your Managed Server.

Magic Mouse will not swipe from desktop to desktop.

I just downloaded Yosemite today and got all the updates. So I am completely up to date. My particular computer is an iMac 27" 3.4GHz i7 (2011). I don't know why but the Magic Mouse I use will not swipe from desktop to desktop within my iMac. Also, every application generally has a default desktop that it is assigned to unless you change it. So, I've had 4 or 5 instances tonight when Yosemite causes, on occasion, a "hang-up" when switching from one desktop to another when the system preference application was open. The glitch or "hang-up" presents itself by freezing when one desktop is switching to another desktop. The freeze occurs when the desktops begin switching from one to another. The desktops show a big black line between them, kind of like two images of film connected to each other. The two desktops continue to move a few inches to the left every 10 or 15 seconds, taking about 1 to 2 minutes for the two desktops to shift from one side of the screen to the other, finally ending up with the one desktop that shows the system preference window. Has anybody had this hang up before? Serious update needed. Also, my magic mouse doesn't seem to respond when I tap it for smart zoom. This needs to be fixed soon.

You probably already know this but just in case -
Desktop swipe is left or right with two fingers and
Smart zoom is a double-tap with one finger on the magic-mouse by the way (and double-tap with two fingers on a trackpad).
Do you have all the special gestures enabled in the System Preferences Mouse pane?

Absolutely will not boot from cd or dvd

Someone has given me a Sun Ultra 10 workstation ... problem is that no matter what I do this machine will not boot from the optical drive. Extremely fustrating. The errors I am getting are "Bad magic number in disk label" and "Can't open disk label package" and "can't open boot device".
I have tried three seperate drives, three seperate IDE ribbons, and three different disks. I have tried on both IDE channels, master and slave. The cdrom alias seems to be hard set and does not change when I change its position on the bus. A combination of devalias, probe-ide and show-disks helps. What happens when I try and boot from the correct device is that the disk spins up, I get the error(s) and thats it.
I am aware that there has been a lot of discussion about this in the past and have spent absolutely ages reading pages from google results but none of it seems to help me.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :-)

Just checking that you are trying to boot from a Sparc version.
I checked what happend with boot cdrom -s on a Sun Ultra 10 from a X86 Solaris DVD and got the errors:
Can't read disk label.
Can't open disk label package
Can't open boot device

Change Management Request will not change from Status New
