Change marking color quickly

Hi there,
I started using the newest Version of Acrobat Pro mostly for reading PDF's.
Coming from Mac and using their standard PDF reader I'm used to change
the marking color very quickly --> i click!
Now in Acrobat marking text seems not to be that easy...3 clicks
are neede to change color (which I do very often!!!)
Is there a way, which I don't know yet, to change color quicker?
Thanks for helping.

Yes I use Acrobat XI Pro!
Yes I can access all the tools on the right hand side.
I am particulary concerned about marking colors:
When I read texts I want to use differen colors
for markings; e.g. green for names, red for terms,
blue for dates etc.
In Apple (I changed to Windows) standart PDF App,
it is very easy to do so. In Acrobat I found it quite
exhausting; first mark --> right click --> preferences
--> change color...
Is there an easier way to do that?
Thanks for your help.

  • How do i change marker color and fill in a chart

    Hi,
In a chart in keynote - I am struggling to find a way to change the color of the marker of a data series. Also cannot seen to customize the fill and line of the marker.
    Can someone provide guidance.
    Y

Keynote has a few ways to change colors, but markers are tricky as only the center color can be easily changed.
Using the Chart > Inspector > Change Color option is hit or miss - sometimes you get what you want, but many times you don't.
To change the color of a series line perhaps the easiest way is to click on the chart series (line, wedge, column, etc.) so that it is selected then click on the Color Picker Tool on the Tool Bar, select the color in the color array, (gamut, crayons, etc). you wish for the series and then drag that color from the Color Picker Well onto the series line.
Note: Changing the color of the Data Symbol (triangle, circle, square, etc.) seems to defy all attempts to change the color of the actual Symbol, but you can change the color of the inner dot fairly easily using the methods described here.
There is a  useful Video Tutorial that shows how this is done:
    http://www.apple.com/science/productivitylab/#researchpresentations
Note: the tutorial was prepared for Leopard, but the methods still apply - look around 1:30 (1 minute 30 secs) through about 2:30 for details. Watch the whole video - it's interesting.
    Good Luck.

  • Using the "quick mask" tool to change a color

    Good Day All
I am a wee bit confused. I wanted to show someone a way to change hair color in Photoshop CS5. Using the method I have used in CS4 I did the following.
In CS%, I clicked on the brush tool and then on the “quick mask” tool. Stared painting in the area I wanted to change. When I clicked to take off the quick mask tool, the paining I had done disappeared. That was it. In CS4 when I turned off the quick mask tool I would get an outline if the mask.
Is there a setting I am missing or has CS5 changed how this works?
    Thanks All

    Thank you Mylenium....
    Here is more information.....
These are the steps I do and the changes that take place
    1) Select the brush tool
    2) Select quick mask. When I do this, on the layers panel, the background layer is not highlighted
On the bottom left hand side the “set foreground & back ground color changes from (foreround) black to gray and the background color stays white
    3) Paint (it is red) the area I want to change and click on the quick mask.
The red where I painted disappears, and the outline is not showing. On the layers panel on the right hand side is now highlighted and on the bottom left hand side the set foreground color changes to black.
    4) If I click on the quick mask, the painted area comes back.
I located the “quick mask” under the tab channels. It is displayed as a separate channel. When I turn off the quick mask, the quick mask channel disappears. When I turn on the quick mask, the quick mask channel reappears….
Do I have something set wrong

For the sake of clarity and to save people time, Todd is asking about the behaviour of the Patch tool when using it to repair the area next to the young lad's head.  Todd gets a blurred dark tone pretty much regardless of the options he uses.
IMO that's what I would expect to happen because of the close proximity of the other image elements i.e. the lad's neck and the strong lines of his shirt.  I would not choose to use the Patch tool in this situation.  Content Aware Fill makes a better stab at it.

  • I can't change the color of the check mark stamp

I am using Adobe Acrobat XI.  I have the Annotations panel open and am trying to change the color of the check mark stamp.  If I right click a check mark stamp and go to properties then on the appearance tab I can see a place to change the color.  However if I change the color then I do not see the change go into effect on the check mark.  If I change the opacity then I do see the change.  I also noticed that if I resize the check mark then I cannot make the new size the default even if I check the "locked" or "make properties default" boxes.

    Hi Johnny,
You cannot change the color of a stamp: The stamp designer selected the colors that are used for a stamp. You may get the impression that you can change it because there is a color selector on the properties bar when you select a stamp. That color selection however is only for the popup note that is associated with the stamp, and not the stamp itself.
Stamps always come in at 100% of their size. You would need to create a new dynamic stamp at your required size.

  • Changing the colors of crop marks

    Hi guys.
I´m printing a small job off a inkjet printer and the paper I´m using is black.
So, is there a way to change color of the corner crop marks?
    Thank you.

I've never had need nor found a way to change the color from black myself, and I recall another question similar to yours in which the answerer stated it couldn't be done.  Unfortunately the forum search feature seems to be broken at the moment.
You could, of course, create your own image that's a bit larger than your print size, complete with black background and white or colored crop marks, then paste your image over it as a second layer.  I realize that's nowhere near as convenient as just ticking the checkbox in the print dialog.
Out of curiosity, what kind of inkjet/inks can print on black paper?  Sounds like you could get some really cool effects, and I haven't heard of it before.

  • Can you change the color of selected text in word?

I use Word 2010, and when I select text it is always blue, is there a way to change the color?

I use Word 2010, and when I select text it is always blue, is there a way to change the color?
My earlier posting was an error.
    I apologize.
You seem to be saying that the default colour for text is blue.
    You need to change:-
    Normal.dotm
     - to change the default colour of text.
In order to change the default colour of text take the following steps (that were tested on Windows 7 and Office 2007 - the process should be
similar, if not identical, for yourself):-
    1. Open a new blank document (this should
have the default text as blue).
Save that document with a new name for example:-
    c:\word\testing_aug_25_2014_2
    2. In the above document:-
    Insert tab
    Text group
Click on the drop down arrow to the lower right of:-
    Quick Parts
     - then click on:-
    Field . . .
    The:-
    Field
     - window should open.
    3. In the:-
    Field
     - window in the field called:-
    Field names:
     - scroll down to:-
    Template
     - and click on that option so that it's highlighted in blue.
Now, towards the top right hand corner of the same window, click in the box called:-
    Add path to file name
     - so that it has a tick (check mark) in that box.
    Click:-
    OK
The file name of the template should now be inserted into your document.
    On my machine this was:-
    C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Normal.dotm
The above path might be different for you.
    4. I saved my document at this point.
    5. Now open the file called:-
    C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Normal.dotm
A document should open on your screen (still with blue text) and with:-
    Normal.dotm
    - in the middle of the Title Bar at the top of the screen.
Highlight all of the text in the document so that it's (for example) black.
    Save the file.
    6. Close all open documents in WORD and
    close WORD itself.
    7. Now open a new document and its default
text should be set to the colour that you applied at step 5. above (I used black at that point).
    Does that resolve your problem?

  • Mic Mute Hotkey doesn't work, Sound Mute Button won't change its color [Windows 10]

    Hello everyone,
I recently did a clean install of Windows 10 x64 on my HP Probook 450 G1 (E9Y30EA), and after installing drivers I noticed when I turn off the sound, my Mute Button won't change its color to amber (or orange, yellow, whatever), as it did in Windows 8.1 and 7.Also, another thing that's not working at all is Microphone Mute Hotkey (fn + F8). It neither turns off the microphone, nor lights up its LED. I have the latest version of HP Hotkey Support driver installed (7.0.13.1), HP Quick Launch Buttons, HP Wireless Button, installed, .NET Frameworks 2.0 and 3.0 etc.. everything is up-to-date, but it's still not working as it should. Microphone muting just doesn't work at all, and pressing (sound) Mute Button does mute sound, but its light stays white, so I often don't know whether I had the sound on or off with the glance of an eye as I used to. On the other hand, HP Wireless Button works normally, and it changes its color to amber when I press it to turn on Airplane Mode. TL;DR: Microphone Mute Hotkey doesn't work; Sound Mute Button does work, but its LED doesn't work. Is there anything I can do to fix that, or is it just a problem with driver incompatibility that would be fixed in some of the next updates? Or is it something else, like Windows 10 issue or audio driver maybe?
    Thanks in advance, pajser92

    Hi,
First download the sound driver using the links below and save the installer to your Desktop.
    Audio Driver - Windows 7
    Audio Driver - Windows Vista
When the download has completed, right click the installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation - ignore any warnings you may see about this being an earlier version.  When the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

  • How can I change the color of subscribed calendar?

    Hello!
I have subscribed two calendars from the internet at my ipad. They automatically got the colors green and red. Now I wanted to change these colors. So I did it and changed them in the calendar-app of the iPad to blue and yellow. At first it worked. But after a few minutes, the colors automatically changed back to green and red. And that happens all the time. Whenever I change the colors of my subscribed calendars, they automatically change back a few moments later.
Why does it happen? And how can I make my iPad keep the new color settings?
    I am using iOS 5.0.1

I figured out a solution for changing the other calendars but not the birthday calendar. Although it's not the most direct fix, it worked for me. Apparently Apple didn't think to give us the ability to choose the calendar color. I use Entourage and sync over the air. When I upgraded to iOS 4 my calendar turned bright red and the birthday calendar was blue. I don't use the birthday calendar so it isn't even enabled in my case. What finally worked was to go through the calendar colors one at a time by disabling and re-enabling the calendar in my mail account settings. I would double click the home button to quickly switch between settings and calendar to check the color each time I enabled the calendar. I had to do this 4 or 5 times to cycle through until blue came back up.

The birthday calendar in the new iPhone OS gets it color automatically. How can I change the color? It does not correspond to the color in iCal on my Mac.

  • How do you change the color of events on ICal.

How do you changed the color of events on ICal? I was able to do this when I utilized ICal on the Snow Leopard system but can no longer do this with Lion.
I know that I can select the Calanders list, but when I create a new "Calander" it doesn't allow me to choose a color and it doesn't show up in my list when working within an event.
    Thanks!

    Phoebe,
Right-click on the new calendar and select "Get Info."
Make sure that the ✓ mark is selected.
Then choose the color from this pane:

I am using Yosemite.  Is there any way to change the color of a folder icon and also the color of the text?

You can't. You can't individually set the properties of just one array element.
