Pressing the X key just changes the toolbox color chips (reverses the foreground and background colors in the toolbox)
Yes if you add a reveal all layer mask (white) and want to turn it black (hide all) then Cmd+I (invert) or invert in the properties panel.

If you want all your pages to have a black background, make that background object a Section Master object too.
Format > Advanced > Move Object to Section Master.

Type Messages and Objects turned from white to black in PDF

When I exported my Keynote presentation to a PDF the Type Messages and Objects turned from white to black. The display in ”Preview” is ok but in Acrobat PDF Viewer it looks black instead of white. Only happens on some slides. I could not find a reason why this happened. Seemed kind of random to me when it happened. But the error was reproducable unless I rebuild it with new silides.

Can you get the exact wording for that error? Is it can't mount iPod?

Edit background in iPhoto has changed from white to black

A friend of mine used to do all her editing in iPhoto '08 and has now got iPhoto '09. iPhoto '09 has a black background for editing pictures whilst iPhoto '08 had a white one, this change in background completely ruins her way of working as it's essential she has a white background to compare her image to while she is working on it.
Is the only solution to chuck out '09 and continue working with '08? I've spent much time searching on Google for an answer, I didn't believe they would have changed this without making it a preference or something.

It is what it is what it is.:( Submit a feature request to Apple to allow users set the edit background color as well as the thumbnail background color via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.
To go back to iPhoto 08 you will need to start over from scratch. To to so launch iPhoto 08 with the Option key depressed and select new library from the next window.
Next, open the old iPhoto 09 library package in the Finder as follows:

Drag the Originals folder from that library into the open iPhoto 08 window to import all of the original files into the new 08 library.

Apple did this to us in iPhoto some time ago and had to add a preference for shades of grey other than white. Why didn't Apple learn from this mistake?

It is good to know I am not alone. The first thing I did after downloading iTunes 11 was go into preferences to change the background color. But alas, the option for a dark background is gone. I also was kind of disappointed in the lack of ability to resize the artwork, but not to the extent of some other commenters here.
I will say this though. I love the way the albums expand with custom colored backgrounds based on each album's artwork colors. This looks fantastic. Still it would be nice to accomodate those who prefer to use a dark background for the overall application's theme.
So, Apple, I join with my fellow users in requesting the return of resizable artwork, and the option for at least a dark (or an even further customizable) background color for the overall theme of the application. Thanks!

I just got the iphone 5 in white. I was number three in line to receive my iphone and when I got to the counter, they said they don't have any black 16 gig iphones. Can I exchange for a black iphone before my 14 days is up for free? or does it still cost the restocking fee? I truly hope you're enjoying every moment of your new iPhone! Number 3 in line is pretty impressive! If you were to exchange your phone for a different color there would be a restocking fee of $35.00.
If you do exchange phones with someone, keep in mind that we wouldn't be able to honor the warranty directly. Of course you would still be able to receive warranty assistance directly from Apple for 1 year or longer if you get Apple Care.

Changing macbook colors, white to black

I think I read on the forum somewhere that you can order a replacement case, keyboard, trackpad, and bezel for the macbook for around $120. Right now i have a white 2ghz. I love the white but that matte black is sexy.
Do yo think I can order a black case for the macbook and have apple replace it for me? I would actually rather do it myself but I suppose it would void the warrantee.

The short answer is yes, it definitely can be done. In fact, it would probably be quite easy to do it your self. I don't know if you have any experience disassembling ibooks, but the macbooks are significantly easier to take apart, since apple designed the cases as if they were two really thin pots, and all the computer innards are inside and covered by the top case. From pictures i've seen, you basically remove some screws and everything is right under the keyboard and trackpad.
Whoops, this was supposed to be short. Let me start again.
The short answer is that it can be easily done by yourself if you are comfortable with both voiding your warranty and disassembling your macbook. Not a good combination IMO, but I know the first thing i'll be doing when my warranty expires .

Acrobat Standard 8 = Change font from Red to Black

Whenever I insert a Text Box, the font (and box) always comes up red. I've found the option on changing the box color, but there's no option to change the font color.
I've right-clicked on the box to get the Properties box, that only allows me to change the fill and border.
If I right-click on the text itself to get to Text Style options, I'm only given: Bold, Underline, Italics, Superscript, Subscript - again, no font colors.
I've also gone into Edit/Preferences under Document Colors Options and changed around or checked off options, no luck.
Someone else on the forum said I need to go to Forms / Edit form in Acrobat - I'm not given this "edit form in Acrobat" option.
Even when I go to Comments & Markup Tools on Toolbar, all the options for Callout, Text Box, Cloud, Arrow, etc., are even showing the little icons in red.
This is driving me nuts as I use this option frequently. On top of it, when it prints the red shows more gray than black and I haven't found in the Print options to print as black.

But something a little more important than how to do it is why is it so hard to find? I'm sure there are many more people out there who can't find this and I think it's because it's hard to find. The intuitive functionality, offered by the Properties Bar in Acrobat, called the Control bar in Illustrator, and the Options bar in Photoshop. Acrobat also appears to be the only one in that list that doesn't contain a secondary tool pallet for each function offered by the Properties bar, found in the Window menu.
I've been through everything Tina looked at and most of them seemed like they should contain the font color, although I couldn't find the Document Colors Option. And if it turned out that you can't edit the color, why would it pick red?
So my two questions are, why is this solution so hard to find?
How do you change the default font color so you don't need the Properties bar?

This is a simple 3D camera track but there are dangers. First, you must make sure that the 3D camera tracker is not tracking the person walking through the frame. Second you must know the exact frame where the person is going to walk into the image of themselves. This is easy if you just pick a frame and then either export the frame as a still or you duplicate your video layer, freeze that frame, and them mask out the person.
Now you perform your 3D camera track, move to the exact frame you want to use for the transition, select a target and insert either a null or a solid, and then replace the null or solid with your freeze frame. The last part is to set the out point of the layer with the freeze frame right where you inserted the solid or null.
You will then have to scale and position your layer to match exactly the size and position of the person in the video. Simple, but not a one click trick.
Watch this. It will show you how to set a target, move it into position and then set up a mask. It's not your exact workflow, but it will show you, in less than two minutes, how to do the trick.

What, if anything, have you tried to see if it fixes it e.g. closing the app via the iPad's taskbar, soft-reset, turning Settings > iBooks > Online Content 'off', backing up (and copying purchases over to your computer's iTunes library) and restoring ?
For the brightness and background, what settings do you have i.e. if you open a book and tap the AA icon at the top right do you currently have 'auto-night theme' set 'on' ?
