Change message in purple "forms" area at the top?

I have an interactive PDF created in Acrobat Pro. It is hosted on our web site. When my client opens the file, the message in the purple area at the top says: "Please fill out the following form. You cannot save data typed into this form. Please print your completed form if you would like a copy for your records."
I've been asked to change this message (preferred) or hide/delete this message. Is this possible? If so, how?

OK. I will live with the fact that I can not change the text in the purple instruction heading. I have a new problem. In order to prevent others from tampering with the form, I have used Password Protection, Restrict Editing, entered a password under Change Permissions, allow printing and filling in form fields. Then I used the Save As feature, Enable additional features.
I now have what I wanted, a form that can not be changed. A day later I decided to add yet one more line of instruction. I can NOT get into my own form. I know the password (obviously), but I can not get to a screen that will allow me to enter it.
HELP !

Spotlight: mysterious little purple folder icon at the top

Spotlight: what is the mysterious little purple folder icon at the top of the Spotlight window? It doesn't seem to do anything. It's visible even when the toolbar is hidden. I can't drag it out of there in the "customize toolbar" section.
So what is it?

You may have noticed that your other folder windows have a similar icon in front of their names. You may have even noticed that document windows in various programs have icons (miniatures of their finder icons) in front of their window names, too.
These are all "proxy icons". You can drag the icon itself (press on it, pause a moment, then you can drag it) instead of closing the Finder window and dragging the folder icon. So, for instance, if you're looking in a folder MyOldDocs and decide you want to trash it, you don't have to close the window and then drag the folder to the trash - you can drag the proxy icon instead. It's a convenience. (You can drag the proxy icon of one Word document into another Word document, for instance, and all the info from the first doc goes into the second one. Or, you can drag the proxy icon of, say, a PDF file right into a mail message window, and that attaches that document to the email message.
The purple icon in an active Search window doesn't work as a proxy icon because it makes no conceptual sense: you'll have a list of items from various places that meet your search criteria - the window isn't a folder that you can move anywhere. But it keeps the interface look consistent, and there's a reason it's purple with that little cog: that's the icon for a Smart Folder, one that saves the searches you've made that you want to use again. (Say you like to look at all the Word documents you've modified this week - you do a search, save the search, and from then on it's a Smart Folder that constantly updates the "contents" (really just a list) to match the search criteria.
When you open a Smart Folder, the proxy icon behaves the way a proxy icon should - you can drag it onto the desktop, into another folder, or into the trash - that's because it's a real folder once you've saved it.
Hope this clears up the purple folder icon question, if not the more philosophical issues brought up otherwise in this thread!

I’m sorry for the issue that you are hitting now.
This itextsharp is third party control, for this issue, I recommended to consult the control provider directly, I think they can give more precise troubleshooting.

Play and shuffle just to the right of the playlist name and over to the right an icon to change the view, unless you are looking at a different set of thingys?. Might help to post which version of iTunes. I'm using version 11.0.2.

If that is correct, updating your system software may help the Safari toolbar issue.
Click Software Update from your Apple menu OR open System Preferences > Software Update > Check Now
Restart your Mac after the updates are installed then try Safari.
If your software is actually up to date, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab.
If you have any extensions installed, turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If the address bar reappears, uninstall one extension at a time, quit and reluanch Safari to test until you find the one that's blocking the address bar.

Messages puts a blank conversation at the top of the list

I recently deleted an entire conversation in messages, and now that contact will occasionally update and go to the top of the list. It has a time associated with it as if I had sent a message at that time, but the conversation is still blank. I am worried that the person is trying to send me messages and I am not receiving them. looks like you are not using Google Webmaster verification method. The code that you have used, is to verify your site with Google Plus Page, You are linking your website by inserting a small snippet of code on your website and then listing that website as your Google+ Page's primary link in the About section of the profile.

How to stop an embedded 'Adobe FormsCentral Form' jumping to the top of page?

I have asked this over on the Muse disscussion forum also but no responce...
I'm using an embedded "adobe formscentral' form in my Muse website. The form has several 'pages' so the problem is when I click the 'next' button within these forms, the new browser window places the form at the top of the page so the user has to keep scolling back to it... very annoying. I have applied a scroll motion to the inserted HTML box to ensure it dosn't move and that works fine when using Firefox but when i check the published site on any other browser or in fact any other computer the problem persists.

How do I create a chart where the lower numbers are at the top?

I'm charting data that shows a ranking, where the rank can be a number anywhere from 1 to 1000. 1 is the highest. When I create a chart, 1 is at the bottom. How do I flip the chart so 1 is at the top and 1000 at the bottom?

I think Bad Units suggestion is similar and better. Rather than simply inverting the sign to that with an offset:

(assuming there are 100 ranks) if there are A ranks then I suggest (like Bad Unit):

This can be accomplished by moving the current data to another column, then performing the calculation in the column where the chart takes its' data.

Now enter the formula to adjust the rankings:
B2=100-C2
select B2 and fill down as needed. To do this for a large data set select, and copy, B2. Then select B2 and scroll to the end of the colunm using the scroll bar then shift-click the last cel in the column, then paste.

Can I arrange my bookmarks so that the folders and sub-folders are at the top of the list like in Explorer?

I transferred all of my "Favorites" from Explorer. I have a lot of folders and sub-folders and I would like these to be listed at the top (as in Explorer) with individual bookmarks below. Right now the folders and individual bookmarks are mixed together.

If you '''Sort by Name''' in the Bookmarks Sidebar, that is how Firefox sorts bookmarks. If you have any '''''Separators''''', the Sort will stop there and you'll have to Sort from there down separately.

Firefox is filling the entire screen so that the controls are off the top & bottom of the screen, & I have to log off the computer to get out of Mozilla.

Usually, there are controls at the top & bottom of the screen, & I can log off whatever program I'm in, but now Firefox is filling the whole screen: I can go from one tab to another within Firefox; however, I can't get out of Firefox without logging off the computer.

It is possible that the screen is too high and that the title bar and status bar do not show.
Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox to save that setting.

HT1338 Why does my mac desktop screen have black smoke like areas at the top of the screen on both sides?

I have had my IMAC now a little over a year and now all of a sudden there is black smoke like marks on the top of both sides of the screen. Like exactly where the fans are. Is this telling me the fans have caused the screen to do this? I see I am not the only one with this issue. What is going on with these computers? I am begining to think its an APPLE flaw. What a shame for those of us that didnt have an extended warranty plan. Apple I believe this is your issue and it needs to be fixed for everyone. So what am I to do with this now? Makes it very odd too look at and its spreading. What are the soulutions here?

The fans pull in outside air and whatever is lingering in it. The stuff in the air settles on the backside of the dislay glass.
The "fix" is easy. Clean the glass.
Buy two 4 inch suction cups from a hardware store. Unplug the iMac and rest it on its back on a carpet. Apply the suction cups and gently pull up. The glass is held in place by magnets.
Clean the glass and allow it to dry. Hold it with the suction cups and set it back in place. Clean the rings made by the suction cups.

Any option to Out-File -Append so new additions are at the top of the file?

Many of my scripts create logentries which I 'append' to a log file, as in the following:
$LogEntry | Out-File MyLog.Txt -Append
This puts the newest entries at the bottom of the file so we need to scroll to get to the current data. Are there any techniques/options for adding the most current data to the 'top' of the file such that when you open the file, the most current data
is at the top?

Another way that might be useful, depending on the nature of the logfile data, would be to append each new record to the end, but number the records and use csv format, i.e.:
1,"Existing data 5"
2,"Existing data 4"
3,"Existing data 3"
4,"Existing data 2"
5,"Existing data 1"
6,"Some new fancy data"
then to display it in reverse order you could either load it into excel and reverse sort by the sequence number, or read it into your script using import-csv, and use sort-object to display it in the order you want to see it in.
This suggestions is, admittedly, the more complex of the two. I suggest it for two reasons that might (or might not) apply in your case:
if the log file could be written asynchronously by multiple instances of your script, Mike's solution could cause the loss of data.
if the log file becomes excessively large, Mike's solution might create a performance issue

Changing Properties of Existing Form Fields at the Same Time

Hi,
I am trying to turn a paper application that has been scanned into a PDF format into a digital document that applicants can fill out on their computer. The application is 71 pages long and I have completed 3/4 of it. I probably have over 1000 text boxes that I need to change the properties on. I am trying to change the text size to auto on all of them, but I would hate to have to go through and do this one at a time. Is there a way to change the properties on all existing text boxes at once?
I have already changed the default properties for the text boxes so that any new textboxes I create will have the proper settings.
