Change Multiple Sites in Site Manager

Our IT guys recently remapped one of our networked drives
that housed all of the websites we have created. I know I can go in
one by one and change the link in the site manager but was
wondering if there was a single file that I could do a find and
replace on so that I don't have to go one by one through 200 sites.
Thanks,
Kevin

Get your IT guy to do it. I'm afraid you are subject to the
latter option.

    Hi,
    To my understanding you should be able to attach the same cryptomap to the other "outside" interface or perhaps alternatively create a new crypto map that you attach only to your new "outside" interface.
    Also I think you will probably need to route the remote peer ip of the VPN connection towards the gateway IP address of that new "outside" and also the remote network found behind the VPN connection.
    If you attempt to use VPN Client connection instead of L2L VPN connection with the new "outside" interface then you will run into routing problems as naturally you can have 2 default routes active at the sametime (default route would be required on the new "outside" interface if VPN Client was used since you DONT KNOW where the VPN Clients are connecting to your ASA)
    Hope this helps

  • Change default language at site creation?

    Hi,
    I have a SharePoint farm consisting of three site collections. All of these have been created with English language. A Norwegian language pack has been installed.
    Is there any way to change the default language when a new site is created? More specific: when a user decides to create a new site (not site collection), I want the language dropdown in the form to be Norwegian, not English. Is this possible?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to change the default site language.
    There is no supported way to change the default language of a site collection, once it has been created.
    There is a way to change it by modifying the content database using SQL Management Studio(though it is not supported), you can refer to the article below to change the default language in an existed site.

  • Detecting changes in the replication site list

    Is there a way, when using the replication manager, to detect changes in the replication site list without having to continuously call repmgr_site_list()?
    Even if you still need to call repmgr_site_list() to determine just what changed, it would still be useful to only call it when the result would be different than the previous call.

    Currently, no. However, we are working on an enhancement for a future
    release that would include such a feature.

  • Azure Site-to-Site VPN works, but RDP/Server Manager/Replication does not.

    Hi,
    At home, I have a Raspberry Pi with Raspbian as OS. I have installed OpenSwan to make a Site-to-Site VPN between the Raspberry and Azure. The Raspberry has an IP Address of 192.168.1.2 behind NAT. Ping works from both sites, but I'm not able to RDP or for
    example manage the servers within the Server Manager. The AD Replication doesn't work either, but I was able to join a VM in Azure over this VPN. I'm using the following configuration:
    Network topology:
    • 192.168.1.0/24 - Home network
    • 192.168.2.0/24 - Azure network
    • 192.168.1.1 - Home router's private IP
    • 192.168.1.2 - Raspberry Pi
    I enabled L2TP Passthrough in the router firewall and I tried to forward the following ports to my RPI:
    • UDP 500
    • UDP 4500
    I also tried to place the Pi in the DMZ.
    My ipsec.conf looks like this:
    version 2.0
    config setup
        nat_traversal=yes
        virtual_private=%4:192.168.1.0/24
        protostack=auto
        interfaces="ipsec0=eth0"
    conn azure
        authby=secret
        auto=start
        type=tunnel
        left=192.168.1.2
        leftsubnet=192.168.1.0/24
        leftnexthop=192.168.1.1
        right=[Azure IP]
        rightsubnet=192.168.2.0/24
        ike=3des-sha1-modp1024,aes128-sha1-modp1024
        esp=3des-sha1,aes128-sha1
        pfs=no
    ipsec.secrets:
    192.168.1.2 [Azure IP] : PSK "AzureSecret"
    That got the link up and running, to allow routing between sites:
    /etc/sysctl.conf:
    net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1
    net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_redirects = 0
    net.ipv4.conf.all.send_redirects = 0
    net.ipv4.conf.default.rp_filter = 0
    net.ipv4.conf.default.accept_source_route = 0
    net.ipv4.conf.default.send_redirects = 0
    net.ipv4.icmp_ignore_bogus_error_responses = 1
    IPtables rules:
    iptables -A FORWARD -s 192.168.2.0/24 -m policy --dir in --pol ipsec -j ACCEPT
    iptables -A FORWARD -s 192.168.1.0/24 -m policy --dir out --pol ipsec -j ACCEPT
    iptables -A INPUT -p udp -m udp --dport 500 -j ACCEPT
    iptables -A INPUT -p udp -m udp --dport 4500 -j ACCEPT
    iptables -A INPUT -m policy --dir in --pol ipsec -j ACCEPT
    iptables -A INPUT -p esp -j ACCEPT
    The NAT table allows the Azure VM's to connect to any machine on my home network:
    iptables -A PREROUTING –t nat -i eth0 -p udp -m udp --dport 4500 -j DNAT --to-destination [Azure IP]:4500
    iptables -A PREROUTING –t nat -i eth0 -p udp -m udp --dport 500 -j DNAT --to-destination [Azure IP]:500
    iptables –t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE
    With all this I can ping and communicate in both directions, all Azure VM's can see my home network, all home network machines can see my Azure VM's.
    Any idea what's going wrong? Thank you!

    Hi Arvind,
    I can confirm that RDP from the server in Azure works to my home lab. It doesn't work from my home lab (DC01) to Azure (DC02-1). I did a capture on my DC01 with NetMon.
    DC01 is 192.168.1.10 (home)
    DC02-1 is 192.168.2.4 (Azure)
    I found the following 'errors' in the capture:
    - Scale factor not supported
    - Checksum: 0x9EBF, Disregarded
    Do you know what's the problem?
    Take a look at the capture below:

  • Azure multiple site-to-site VPNs (dynamic gateway) with Cisco ASA devices

    Hello
    I've been experimenting with moving certain on-premise servers to Azure however they would need a site-to-site VPN link to our many branch sites e.g. monitoring of nodes.
    The documentation says I need to configure a dynamic gateway to have multiple site-to-site VPNs. This is not a problem for our typical Cisco ISR's. However three of our key sites use Cisco ASA devices which are listed as 'Not Compatible' with dynamic routing.
    So I am stuck...
    What options are available to me? Is there any sort of tweak-configuration to make a Cisco ASA work with Azure and dynamic routing?
    I was hoping Azure's VPN solution would be very flexible.
    Thanks

    Hello RTF_Admin,
    1. Which is the Series of CISCO ASA device you are using?
    Thank you for your interest in Windows Azure. The Dynamic routing is not supported for the Cisco ASA family of devices.
    Unfortunately, a dynamic routing VPN gateway is required for Multi-Site VPN, VNet to VNet, and Point-to-Site.
    However, you should be able to setup a site-to-site VPN with Cisco ASA 5505 series security appliance as demonstrated in this blog:
    Step-By-Step: Create a Site-to-Site VPN between your network and Azure
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/canitpro/archive/2013/10/09/step-by-step-create-a-site-to-site-vpn-between-your-network-and-azure.aspx
    You can refer to this article for Cisco ASA templates for Static routing:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn133793.aspx
    If your requirement is only for Multi-Site VPN then there is no option but to upgrade the device as Multisite VPN requires dyanmic routing and unfortunately there is no tweak or workaround due to hardware compatibility issue.
    I hope that this information is helpful
    Thanks,

    Just go to iCloud on your iPad. Click on delete account - this will delete the account on your iPad only. You will be given to keep the addresses and calendar or delete the data.
    Then you create your new account on you iPad by entering your apple id.

  • How to find out which users are using SharePoint Designer to make changes in SharePoint 2010 site?

    Hi there,
    How to find out which users are using SharePoint Designer to make changes in SharePoint 2010 site?
    Thanks.

    You need to enable auditing on SharePoint server and it will let you know, if someone makes any critical changes for the same.
    Please walk through this informative KB to enable auditing on SharePoint :https://support.office.com/en-za/article/Configure-audit-settings-for-a-site-collection-f5a346d0-ee0f-4412-a5e6-d9b5abaa1012

  • Nested sites in site manager

    I tried to see if I could have nested sites in the site
    manager and it looks like that works.
    c:/www/site1/webroot < ------ (root for first site, inner
    site)
    c:/www/site1 <--------------------(root for second site,
    outer site) (I will need this to work on some files under this
    folder and also be able to upload them through DW)
    Has anyone tried that before and are there any unapparent
    consequences for doing this?
    I will avoid working on any files that belong to the inner
    site from the outer site to avoid the links getting corrupted.
    The reason I am trying this is related to a this question I
    had few days ago.
    This
    is the other post
    Thanks,

    You can have a site definition whose root folder is within
    the root of
    another site. You will have problems with synchronization in
    that
    configuration.

  • Load balancing Internet and Site to Site VPN's across Multiple ISP.

    Hi Everyone,
    We  are currently connected to a single ISP with different Internet related  services like mail, web, dns and IPSEC site to site VPN's running. We  would be adding another ISP and do load balancing across these multiple  links. We are using Cisco ASA firewall.
    Can anyone suggest a load  balancer which can not only provide load balancing of the links but  failover as well for mail,web and IPSEC Site to Site VPN's. I came  across Peplink that can achieve this but I guess I will have to  decommision our ASA in order to install Peplink.
    Check attached diagram, this will be our proposed design.
    Regards

    Hi Sundeep,
    The simplest solution would be to put an IOS router (or two with HSRP) between the ASA and the ISPs and do policy-based routing for your flows between the 2 ISPs. Otherwise, any load balancer should work fine with the ASA. If failover of the load balancer is a requirement, you'll need to look at product specific documentation for whichever solution you choose.

  • Multiple site-to-site VPNs on same ASA

    I need to set up an IPSEC tunnel to let a vendor at a remote site print to a printer on my network.  I am planning to use an ASA 5520 to do this.  The architecture is pretty simple:
    [Remote computer] -- [Remote FW] --<VPN Tunnel>-- [Local FW] -- [Local Routing] -- [Printer]
    The caveat is that there will eventually be more than one vender needing to do this.  Each will have a different destination but that mena there will be more than one VPN connection to the ASA at my end.  It looks like the ASA 5520 can support more than one site-to-site VPN but will I need to assign a different endpoint IP address to each tunnel?
    I searched and didn't find a design guide for multiple site-to-site VPNs.  If one exists I'd appreciate a pointer.
    Stephen

    You can do multiple site-to-site VPN tunnels.  Typically, you would have a crypto map applied to the internet facing interface.  Each crypto map entry has a sequence number. You would simply create all of the necessary configuration (tunnel-group for the remote peer IP, ACL to define interesting traffic, etc.) and increment the crypto map entry.
    Example:
    crypto map outside_map 1 match address s2s-VPN-1
    crypto map outside_map 1 set pfs
    crypto map outside_map 1 set peer 1.2.3.4
    crypto map outside_map 1 set transform-set ESP-3DES-SHA
    tunnel-group 1.2.3.4 type ipsec-l2l
    tunnel-group 1.2.3.4 ipsec-attributes
     ikev1 pre-shared-key SomeSecureKey$
    crypto map outside_map 2 match address s2s-VPN-2
    crypto map outside_map 2 set pfs
    crypto map outside_map 2 set peer 4.5.6.7
    crypto map outside_map 2 set transform-set ESP-3DES-SHA
    tunnel-group 4.5.6.7 type ipsec-l2l
    tunnel-group 4.5.6.7 ipsec-attributes
    ikev1 pre-shared-key SomeSecureKey2$

  • Good CCIE question: Can multiple site-2-site VPNs support dynamic routing protocols?

    Hi All,
    Was not sure if this should be posted in LAN routing, WAN routing or VPN forums: I have posted here as the VPN tunnels are the limiting factors...
    I am trying to understand if it is possible to have dynamic routing between LANs when using site to site VPNs on three or more ASA55x5-x (9.0).
    To best explain the question I have put together an example scenario:
    Lets say we have three sites, which are all connected via a separate site-2-site IKEv2 VPNs, in a full mesh topology (6 x SAs).
    Across the whole system there would be a 192.168.0.0/16 subnet which is divided up by VLSM across all sites.
    The inside / outside interfaces of the ASA would be static IPs from a /30 subnet.
    Routing on the outside interface is not of concern in this scenario.
    The inside interface of the ASA connects directly to a router, which further uses VLSM to assign additional subnets.
    VLSM is not cleanly summarised per site. (I know this flys against VLSM best practice, but makes the scenario clearer...)
    New subnets are added and removed at each site on a frequent basis.
    EIGRP will be running on each core router, and any stub routers at each site.
    So this results in the following example topology, of which I have exaggerated the VLSM position:
    (http://www.diagram.ly/?share=#OtprIYuOeKRb3HBV6Qy8CL8ZUE6Bkc2FPg2gKHnzVliaJBhuIG)
    Now, using static route redistribution from the ASAs into EIGRP and making the ASAs to be an EIGRP neighbour, would be one way. This would mean an isolated EIGRP AS per site, but each site would only learn about a new remote subnet if the crypto map match ACL was altered. But the bit that I am confused over, is the potential to have new subnets added or removed which would require EIGRP routing processes on the relevant site X router to be altered as well as crypto map ACLs being altered at all sites. This doesn't seem a sensible approach...
    The second method could be to have the 192.168.0.0/16 network defined in the crypto map on all tunnels and allow the ASAs routing table to chose which tunnel to send the traffic over. This would require multiple neighbours for the ASA, but for example in OSPF, it can only support one neighbour over a S2S VPN when manually defined (point-to-point). The only way round this I can see is to share our internal routing tables with the IP cloud, but this then discloses information that would be otherwise protected by the IPSEC tunnel...
    Is there a better method to propagate the routing information dynamically around the example scenario above?
    Is there a way to have dynamic crypto maps based on router information?
    P.S. Diagram above produced via http://www.diagram.ly/

    Hi Guys,
    Thanks for your responses!  I am learning here, hence the post.
    David: I had looked in to the potential for GRE tunnels, but the side-effects could out weight the benifits.  The link provided shows how to pass IKEv1 and ISAKMP traffic through the ASA.  In my example (maybe not too clear?) the IPSEC traffic would be terminated on the ASA and not the core router behind.
    Marcin: Was looking at OSPF, but is that not limited to one neighbour, due to the "ospf network point-to-point non-broadcast" command in the example (needed to force the unicast over the IPSEC tunnel)? Have had a look in the ASA CLI 9.0 config guide and it is still limited to one neighbour per interface when in point-to-point:
    ospf network point-to-point non-broadcastSpecifies the interface as a point-to-point, non-broadcast network.When you designate an interface as point-to-point and non-broadcast, you must manually define the OSPF neighbor; dynamic neighbor discovery is not possible. See the "Defining Static OSPFv2 Neighbors" section for more information. Additionally, you can only define one OSPF neighbor on that interface.
    Otherwise I would agree it would be happy days...
    Any other ideas (maybe around iBGPs like OSPF) which do not envolve GRE tunnels or terminating the IPSEC on the core router please?
    Kindest Regards,
    James.

  • How do I change color on visited sites without causing websites to not view properly?

    I go to Content/Colors, change color of visited sites, uncheck "allow pages to choose own colors instead of my selections above".
    The visited sites change colors, but the websites that I go to do not view properly. They do not have names or headings or shopping carts or search boxes and are very hard to maneuver through.

    You can use code in userContent.css or use the Stylish extension to override the page colors.
    I use code like this:
    <pre><nowiki>a:visited {color:#e08!important;background-color:#eee}
    a:visited * {color:#e08!important;outline:1px dotted red!important;outline-offset:-1px}
    a:visited img {background-color:transparent}
    </nowiki></pre>
