I want change my language flag icon to a other kind of flag. I got the flag icon that I want replace with.But where do I put it?
Please give me step by step of what to do.

You need to download the app Ukelele from
http://scripts.sil.org/ukelele
It includes a set of system keyboard layouts and their flags in the form of .icns files.
You first uncheck the box for Russian in system prefs/language & text/input sources, then put the .keylayout file from the Ukelele set and your own .icns file in Home/Library/Keyboard Layouts. Then logout/login and go to system prefs/language & text/input sources and check the box for the newly added Russian layout.

Hey on some macs here in the United States, I have seen a USA flag in the menu bar. Does it have any significance or is it just for show? And if it is for show, how do I enable it?

Open the International pane of System Preferences and click on Input Menu; from here, change the setting to display the input menu in the menu bar as needed. This menu's icon is a flag representing the current keyboard layout, which will be a country's flag most often.

I know this is almost a year old, but I'd like to know the same thing. It seems the answer is that we can't do anything, but I'd rather ask.
I'm from Brazil, living in France for my studies. I wanted to buy a movie, but it's only in french and I prefer the original language, in this case, english. Is it possible to buy a different version, or does the country you're in dictate that?

I recently took a subscription for Creative Cloud (LR5 and Photoshop CC). I live in France but I am more used to English terminology and I'm currently doing Photoshop as e-learning on an American forum. (I'm not French). I managed to change the default language into English in LR5 but not in Photoshop. Could you please advise me how to proceed.

Mozilla Home is in Spanish and I can't find how to change the language

I updated Mozilla, and noticed a toolbar that was new. I clicked around it and noticed that everything was in Spanish. I tried to find an option to change the Language, but I can't find one. How do I get it to change to English?

I just intalled Oracle BI Suite. Now when I launch Oracle Discoverer it runs in Finnish. Althouhg I'm working in Finland, I'm a native English speaker. How do I change the langauge to English?

On the Disco Connection page the last entry is Locale. The default is "Locale retrieved from browser", therefore, Finland. You can change the language setting there.

How to change the flag image in language input in menu bar?

I have two languages that I have selected for regular use in my language input menu (on the right-hand side of the menu bar), and I would like to change the Spanish input flag from the Spain national flag to an Argentina flag, just for aesthetics. I figured it'd kind of be like changing the image of how the HDD looks like on the GUI (control-click, get info, copy and paste image), but I'm not sure where to start or if it's even possible. Anyone have any clues or experience with this? I may just have to make do with keeping the Spanish flag up there but just for curiosity's sake I want to know if it can be done.

Hi, try this...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
Move these files to the Desktop for now...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.HIToolbox.<12digitHexNu mber>.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.HIToolbox.plist
Reboot & set it up again.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

On each of the English pages add a Russian flag and link that flag to the Russian equivalent page with the Inspector/Link/Hyperlind pane.

You need change the IKM. This values are hardcode in the IKM.
You can create a new IKM and the values used are a options of the IKM.

I switch between writing in British English and Korean on my Macbook Pro. When I have the keyboard set to English, the UK flag appears in the menu bar, like so:
When I change to Korean, there is no flag, merely a symbol, as follows:

You would have to go into system/library/input methods/KoreanIM.app and see if there is an image file you could change there.

Command Spacebar opens Spotlight as you have found out. If you want to change languages you need to say what app you are using to write the story in, I'm guessing you are using Pages or MS Word. If that's the case
Pages: Open Inspector - Click the T tab - Click Language and change your language.
MS Word: Tools Menu - Language - Choose your language.

OS X comes with 15 language localizations but Esperanto is not one of the possibilities, which are listed in the tech specs:

Some apps may have Esperanto localizations. You might try a search on that language at macupdate.com to find them.
