I need to change my last name on my account to my married last name. Is there a way to do this online? Help!

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you need to change the name on your Apple ID. Sending email with the wrong name can be a frustrating situation for sure. You can update your name at https://appleid.apple.com/ .

Yea its a good thing to update because 95% of the Time a Rep. may ask for the Primary owner of the lines and if your not that person you can't hardly do squat with it. Case in point with my With our Lines my Mom was the Primary owner and i couldn't do Anything with out them wanting to talk to her first. Getting a Phone, Making Changes, Check statuses, Heck there was one time i remember i couldn't even pay the bill not exaggerating there it was basically out of my Hands my Mom got tired of this and she changed it.. Now that i'm considered as second Owner and i can do as only my mom could there are a still a Few rare occasions that a Rep will ask for her on but for the Most of it i have free Range with the Account.. b33

If you are using Mail in OSx: In Mail open Preferences->Accounts-> Click the Account you Wish to change and change your Name there.

How can I change my last name on my email?

I like having my email [email protected], but I recently got divorced. How do I change my icloud email address so it will have the correct last name? I don't want to be sending emails from the wrong name.

Unfortunately you cannot change an iCloud mail address once you have created it. You can however use an iCloud alias which you can set up at iCloud.com.
To create an alias.....
Navigate to the Mail feature at iCloud.com and click on the gear icon in the bottom left corner. Choose Preferences from the drop down menu, then select accounts from the options across the top, here you can create your alias.

Best to go in store with your name change documents. Legal reasons They must verify which requires faxing documents. My wife went through this when we got married with her Verizon lines. Which I later took over.... Should Have Just taken it over in the first place lol

Change First/last name in Inbox view

I have changed the setting so Contacts are shown with "Firstname Lastname".
In Inbox, however, the messages are shown with "lastname Firstname".
Can this be changed?
If not, I think this is a bug. When the ordering of the names is changed in Contacts, the same order should be used in Inbox.

Is it possible to change my last name on my 20G IPOD? If so, how and can I then put my IPOD on a new computer?

Double click the iPod name to cahnge it.
Plug it into a new computer to use it on that computer.

Changing the user name folder of administrator

I got married and changed my last name. I have a personal use macbook pro and I am the only account/administrator for my laptop. I have read many instructions involving creating a new administrator account and deletign the old one, but I wanted to know if there was any other way to change the name on the User directory folder. I changed my long and short name, and every other name on my accounts last year, but I have been unable to change the name on the directory. I have tried the chown -R /Users/old name /Users/new name in Terminal, but nothing happens after I enter my password. Can someone help? Thank you.

Contacts display first name, last name, except if there's email address then contact info is deleted (?) and email is displayed in contact list.

Confused on these procedures to post.
My contacts should list first name last name, however any contact with an email has info phone numbers and addresses deleted and the email address is displayed in contact list. I know how to change to last name first name but that doesn't help... Any suggestions? Should I delete all contacts and reacquire all through icloud? How?

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Order of contacts=Open contacts. Click on menu bar>preferences>general.
What little emoticon?
Color permanently=as far as I know, you cannot change it.

In address book, if I try to show first name before the last name, why do only a few names change?

Using address book on 10.7.2, when I go to "preferences" to change the display order between showing the "first name" before or after the last name, only about 25% of names will change. The rest all stay in the same order. Any ideas?

By default any outgoing email has the addresses saved in the Collected address book. You can turn this option off if you want.

For anyone searching how to do this, I've modified the Change User Password Form to contain a user's first and last names. As the User view is not accessible from this form, I added the following:
