Change my name on icloud mail acount

I whant to change my namne

Unfortunately, you cannot change your primary iCloud Mail address which ends with @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com, you could however add an alias and use this alias instead for sending and reciving mails (Mac/PC: www.icloud.com, Mail, Preferences, ...) or you would have to create a new account.

iCloud email addresses can't be changed or deleted, but you can set up an alias namethat he can use which will be linked to his current iCloud account and will receive email in the existing iCould inbox.  This guide explains how: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2622.

  • Change full name in iCloud mac mail

How do I change a Full Name in iCloud mac mail?

If you created a new iCloud account it would have a new associated iCloud email account.  You wouldn't be able to move your current @icloud.com address to the new account.
Just to double-check, after quitting (Command-Q) and re-opening Mail, did you start an new message and click the down-arrow next to From to see if the new sender name was available from the drop-down list (see image below)?  If so, you might try signing out of iCloud entirely.  To do this, go to System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out, choose Delete at all of the prompts, restart your Mac, then sign back in and test Mail again.  (This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your Mac, but not from iCloud.  Your iCloud data will reappear on your Mac when you sign back in.)

  • Changing you name in iCloud

I have just upgraded to iCloud and for some reason emails I send from my email account are showing my partners name - I am the principle account holder of the mac emails and he is secondary which is weirder. I have gone into preferences to change this which it does, but does not change it throughout i.e. under the iCloud logo in preferences my partners name stay the same. When I go back to preference everything has defaulted back again. Any ideas if you understand the question!?? Tx

I think I understand the question. The system preference gets your name from your account, but if you change the name on your account, you may need to log out of iCloud and back in again for changes to be seen bt system preferences. Maybe worth a shot.
Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account

  • Can I change my name on iCloud email?

I have iCloud email address that is my name before getting married. How can I change my name to show my new name or can I create another email address to use that name?

Answer: You cannot change an iCloud.com email once it's created (there is a little warning that tells you this when you set it up initially).
What other options do you have?
    1) Create a new Apple ID account (least recommended option).  This will make a whole new account and any purchases or money you spent of have on your current account will not be on the new account. Therefore, you would have to continue to use two Apple IDs or give up the old account as they cannot be merged.
    2) Create an email alias.  (most recommended).  Although you will still log into your iCloud with the same Apple ID you currently use, an alias will allow you to send and receive emails using the alias but will still come through your normal icloud email since you can't change it.
Create or change email aliases: http://support.apple.com/kb/ph2622
    Good Luck!

  • How do i change my name on icloud?

I need help changing the name that appears on my iCloud account.  It has my husband's name because he set it up and stupidly typed his own name rather than mine.  My icloud email has my name in the email address, but says it comes from him. It says MATTHEW SMITH (mary.smith @iCloud.com)
How can I change it?  I just want my messages to show that they're coming from me!
    <Email Edited by Host>

Thank you Roger!  I felt bad about that but couldn't delete the entire message.
I believe I finally found the answer - I logged into our apple ID on the computer and changed the name on the account from there.  When I tried to do it from my iPhone or iPad, it reverted back to the name on the account.  Hopefully this will help others with the same problem.  People get married and divorced and change their names all the time, so I knew it had to be possible!

  • Changing my name in icloud

How do i go about changing my account name in icloud when i have googled this it says to scroll to the bottom and delete account but i don't seem to have this option?

    Hi amcgarrity1972,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you want to delete your iCloud account from your iPhone. When you navigate to Settings > iCloud, make sure you are scrolling all the way to the bottom of that screen to see the Delete Account option.
    iCloud: Change iCloud feature settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2613
On your iOS device’s Home screen, go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Delete Account.
    Have a great day,

  • How to change "Full Name" in iCloud IMAP mail account information

Brand new to this forum so please excuse any newbieisms. I am running OS X 10.7.5 I created an iCloud IMAP mail account so that I can sync with my iPhone.
Windows Live is my original mail account. All is good except the "Full Name" in "Accounts" preferernces is somehow incorrect. When I send mail frm my Mac, this incorrect name shows in the "From" field. Mail sent from my iPhone shows my correct name as it appears in my phone cloud settings. The name doesn't sync in iCloud. All other syncing is good. When I try to change it manually in my Mac mail preferences, I get the message "the"Incoming Mail Server" field can not be empty" when I try to save the changes. The aforementioned field is not empty and is in fact greyed out as this was self populated upon creation of the account. I can't even change the case sensitivity of the name or I get the message. As a stop gap I have created an alias to send mail with, but would like a proper fix. Any ideas?

  • How can I change the label of iCloud mail in Mail?

I have an iPhone, where the iCloud account in mail is shown as "Name @ iCloud". I've just been setting up a new iPad Air 2 and there in Mail the label shows just as "iCloud". How can I change that label? I've been digging around but haven't found a way.

Most of us just use names for the folders which seems to work fine unless you're not alphabetically inclined.
It really doesn't make much difference who else may want a feature like that, it still isn't going to magically appear. If you wish to submit it as a feature request you can do so here: Feedback.
There aqre third-party programs that may provide a similar function although not colors: DockStar and Mail Badger.

  • Change "Full Name" in iCloud Email Preferences

I must have entered a wrong "Full Name" in my iCloud email preferences in the beginning and would like to change that. Unfortunately it always tells me: "The “Incoming Mail Server” field cannot be empty". How can I access that field? I've tried it, but it would not let me.

  • Can't change account name in icloud after updating my email account

    Hi -
I changed my Apple ID to a new e-mail account.  When accessing iCloud from my iphone 4s, I am unable to change my account name to match my new Apple ID & email account.
    Any ideas?
    ESM

To change your iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account then sign back in with the changed ID.  This will delete the account and your synced data from from device but not from iCloud.  Provided you are signing back into the same account your data will be synced back to your device when you sign back in.
Before deleting the account, save your photo stream photos to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).

Here are the current settings for Comcast email (please note recent change)
To prevent spam and to ensure the security of our network and customers, Comcast no longer supports the use of port 25 for sending email. If you use an older email client (Outlook Express, Outlook, Mac Mail, etc.), this may impact your ability to send email. To learn more about port 25, please visit our FAQ.
To configure an email client to use Comcast email (@comcast.net), the following settings should be used for sending and receiving email:
    Recommended
    Only If Needed
    Incoming Mail Server - Name
    mail.comcast.net
    mail.comcast.net
Incoming Mail Server - Port Number
    995 (POP3)
    110 (POP3)
    Outgoing Mail Server - Name
    smtp.comcast.net
    smtp.comcast.net
Outgoing Mail Server - Port Number
    465 (SMTP)
    587 (SMTP)
    SSL Encryption
    checked
    unchecked
    Authentication
    Comcast ID and Password required
