Change name in the taskabar

Hi, I am working on an Air Application, and I'd like to
change the name shown on the taskbar of different windows. For
example, I have a login window that opens up when starting the app,
and I'd like to change the name in the taskbar depending on what
stage of the login the user is, like login, sign up, etc...
I've tried changing the name and title properties, but it
seems like those are not the right options. The name shown by
default is the name of the window mxml file.

The taskbar name matches the window title. Setting either the
NativeWindow.title, or the WindowedApplication.title (or
Window.title) properties should do it.

Change name of the TAB

Hi Gurus,
I am working in CRM 4.0 Channel Management.
I want to change only the name of the TAB, e.g. in the application Opportunity CRMD_ BUS2000111 the TAB name Attachments - field Group OPP_DOCUMENTS and event OPP_HD_DOCUMENTS. We only want to change the name for all opportunies and need not more than one events with different Tab names.
Can I change the TAB name in a simple way without enhancements without to touch the MAC?
Not clear yet if it needs to be defined in run time or not - but for eventualities it is better to have the changes in run time.

You can change the Tab name without doing any thing in MAC
 
Tab is based on EVENT, So change the description of the event behind the tab to change the description.

Change name in the Authorization pop up

I have recently bought a new MacBook Pro and I'm migrated everything from my old computer onto it. This has worked perfectly apart from one thing.
When I first set up the new computer, I didn't migrate straight away because I was still waiting for a firewire cable. So I created a new account called "Tom Irving". Now that I've migrated, I've deleted that account and it's home folder and everything.
The account on the old computer was just called "Tom". This is what I've now got set up as the account on the new one.
This works fine permissions wise, and everything is how it should be apart from this:
When I need to change something, say in the System Preferences, I have to click the little lock sign, and up pops a dialog asking for my password. The default name in this dialog, however, isn't "Tom", it's "Tom Irving". That account no longer exists.
Is there a way to change "Tom Irving" appearing into just "Tom"?

this is quite strange. I've never seen this. the name that should show up in such popups is the full name of the current user if the current user is admin. are you sure it's just Tom? go to system preferences->accounts. what's listed as Full name there? try changing it to something else. does the name in the popup change too?

Change name of the mini

I just got a used mini running Tiger. Were do I go to change the name of the machine. It still has the name of the original owner.

If you want to change the short name, it is better to just start a new Account, and give it administrative privileges (don't forget this. Very important. Check that box). Then, eliminate the other account.

If what you want is just to change the visible Account name in the Quick Switching menu, go to Accounts in System Preferences, and put in the name you wish, there.
If you want to change the name seen on the Network, go to Sharing, and change it there.

How do you change name of the files before sending files to FTP site?

Hi guys,
my environment is SQL Server 2008 R2.
Currently, I'm trying to figure out how to tackle the following project:
I have over 100 files that I need to send via FTP on daily basis.
Before doing so, I must change the extension of the file to a specific characters stored in a sql server table, for example if the file name is Store1.txt the new name will be Store1.111
I was hoping that you guys can point me in the right directions :-)

I would use a script task for renaming, Pass the data from the SQL table with the extension you want via a object variable to the script task iterate the files in the directory and rename as requried

go to se80.
you can see object name. i.e your programe name zXyyy
click right button on your prog name and say rename.
give the name what you want and click button rename.

How do i change a name in a path? this was a used computer i purchased and the other persons name come up in the path so the program won't open. How do I delete that name? I have changed the administrator to my name. It won't allow me to open my Microsoft programs.

Change Name of the Home Folder...

I searched this topic and only found troubleshooting topics.
I want to change the name of my Home folder properly so that I don't mess up the system in the process.
I am the administrator of my computer and have full rights to every preference.

The biggest hazard of doing what you want is that you can suddenly become a non-admin user. Best to enable root account with Netinfo Manager first. Then log in a root user and do all your changes from there. Before you log out of root account, ensure you are an admin user from System preferences. When you are finished you can disable root account.
However, you are not talking about changing your username but simply renaming your home folder. That is relatively simple. While logged in a root user, navigate to your folder name and simply change it. Next, open Netinfo manager, go to users column and find your old username. Unlock Netinfo by clicking the lock, then you can change your username in the netinfo fields by changing the "home" path. Save that stuff and log out and you should be able to log in to your new home folder.

Which SRM Version are you using ?
Incase you do not want the storage location fiels displayed in the item details then you can modify the template saplbbp_sc_ui_its_300.html to hide the field.
By creating screen variant in transcation SHD0 and implementing that screen variant in BBP_screenvariant BADI you can hide the fields.
Let me know the transaction and fields what you want to hide I can look at it.

Converting Video to iPod, can you change name of file

When you convert Video to iPod format, can you change name of the new file or put some "marker" so one can tell which is the orginal and which is the new file?
Currently it is difficult to tell between the orignal and the new file.

You'd probably be better off doing this sort of editing in iTunes, and letting it move the files appropriately.
Go to the preferences, Advanced tab, and check the box to 'Keep iTune Music folder organized'. Then any changes you make to song names or other info (within iTunes) will automatically be applied.

Vendor change name issue

I have a problem, we have a vendor named vendorA. In one day, vendorA changed their name to vendorB. Then my colleague change the name on vendor master. I would like to know it is better create a new vendor code or modify the exist one? Since we still issue PO after changed the vendor name, that means all PO related to this vendor, including new name and old name. If i create a new vendor code for new name, is it possible to transfer the to new vendor code, credit old vendor code, debit new vendor code. Thanks!

Do not change Name of the exesting vendor into new name , it is better to create a new vendor code unless it will be difficult for you to scrutiny of vendor data.
Create a new vendor code & then find out the data which needs to be booked in new vendor code.
For this , you have to pass two seprate entires by using intermidiary account
For Eg.
if old vendor having credit balance
Old Vendor a/c   Dr.
     to Intermidiary a/c
& then
Intermidairy a/c   Dr
     to New Vendor a/c
Note : In both the entried you have to use one common profit center
