Change nickname

Hello all,
I have just joined Kuler five minutes ago, after lurking there for a few months.
One problem: my nickname. It is adobe.
I thought it was funny, that when I signed up, that it automatically took my e-mail address name as my user name.
However, the system obviously didn't take into account that some people have a whole domain at their disposal, and just match the name to the service they sign up to.
So, I chose 'adobe@blablabla' and so, my kuler nickname has become adobe.
Although I'm a senior in graphics design and I have done quite a lot colour mixing over the last years, I don't represent Adobe, neither do I want people to think I do so. Additionaly, I think Adobe will find out soon enough and my account will be locked, with or without finding out why I got this name. To avoid that, I'd thought I'd mention it myself, and propose a different nickname. :-)
So, if someone in charge of Kuler accounts reads this: please change my name to haulrich like it is here, in the forum.

I've seen your themes, and they're really nice - I agree with you - I thought you can pick a name, but apparently not - guess you're being seen as adobe these days - I assume someone can change it - wish you luck!

If you didn't already sort it--
in iTunes, go to Store | View My Account. Make sure to enter the email for your old account.
The main Apple Account Information screen has an Edit Nickname button next to your nickname. You should be able to change that nickname in the old account.
Then log out of the Store, log back in with the email for your new account, and see if it will let you use the old nickname.
It might be necessary to delay while the computers figure out the old name is free, if it doesn't work immediately.

The error page indicates that the error occurred in rendering the P3_DEPARTMENT_ID page item. What are the Source and Default settings for this item?

I appear to be banned from #archlinux

When I try to say something, I get: #archlinux: cannot send to channel
And when I try to change my nick, it says #archlinux: Cannot change nickname while banned in channel
I've never said anything in the channel before this, so I'm definitely innocent... maybe my ISP's proxy got banned.
I'm connecting via bb219-74-26-93.singnet.com.sg. Could a channel op check if that IP is banned? Thanks!

you are not banned. is simple a quiet mode for all users that are not identified. Simple register your nickname and then identify and you are good.

Single line Textfield & PHP

Is it possible to have a single line TextField that retrieves
text using PHP from a Mysql database? I've managed to do it with a
Multi line Textarea but the same code doesn't seem to work with a
Single line TextField.
I've attached the code I tried for the Single line TextField.

typically you would put your connection and sql info in your
head and assign
your dataset a variable name, then reference the variable
name.
I don't see why that would effect your data retrieval, but
you didn't say
what your error was, eiither.

Certadmin is adding new SSL certificate with wrong name

I'm using certadmin to add a new certificate from Thawte. Did it successfully the past few years, but can't do it this year for some reason. It looks like everything is working, but when I go to look at the store after adding the cert it comes up with the same name as last year's certificate. For example,
portal.rhsmith.umd.edu u,u,u
portal_2003 u,u,u
portal_2003 u,u,u
server-cert u,u,u
...where portal_2003 is the name of last year's cert. Before running certadmin there was just one of 'em. The .nickname does change to the new name I entered in, but it doesn't get stored with that name and the gateway gets confused. Changing .nickname to portal_2003 lets the gateway start, but it's finding the old (about to expire) cert, not the new one I just bought. Any ideas, anyone?

Solved my own problem... went in with ipscertutil directly and removed some old certificates. This seemed to uncorrupt the store and I was then able to add the certificate.

Why can't I change my Nickname or Reviews/Ratings in iTunes Account Info Settings?

I was messing around some more in iTunes, and went to the iTunes store to change some of my Account Information. I successfully changed my email and payment info under the heading "Apple ID Summary" ...but I had some issues editing my information in the "Settings" section.
I will explain what happened, or did not happen, briefly. My question, for lack of more specific words, is, why will iTunes Store not follow through with these commands?
All follows in the iTunes Store > Account Information > Settings:
1) I clicked on the link "Edit Nickname" so I could change it to something more "mature" (as I made this name when I was about 17 years old). This link took me to a different screen within iTunes Store, where I typed in my desired new Nickname in the appropriate space. However, when I clicked "Submit," the screen simply did nothing. No error message, no successful change, nothing at all...it just stayed the same.
2) I tried also to edit the "Reviews and Ratings" history by clicking on the "Manage" link. This link also led me to a different screen, showing two ratings I had made for games/applications on my iPod touch. I tried to click the "Remove" link next to each review. Again, nothing happened...no message at all, the screen simply stayed the same.

I understand that you want to change your nickname of your iTunes Store account. I am sure you are anxious at this time and I will do whatever I can to help you right away.
Jeff, you can change your iTunes Store billing information at any time. When you update your credit card number or billing address through the iTunes Store, any equivalent information you might use with MobileMe, iPhoto, Aperture, or the Apple Store online is also updated.
To update your billing address or credit card number, follow these steps:
1) Make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes. It can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple website:

Note: Installing the latest version of iTunes will not affect your library or any items in your account that you haven't downloaded.
2) Click this link:
iTunes will automatically launch and the sign-in dialog will appear.
3) If you are not already signed in, you will need to enter your iTunes Store account name and password and then click the Account Info button.
4) On your Apple Account Information page, click Edit Payment Information
Make the necessary changes. Your billing address should be exactly the same as the address on your credit card statement and with the United States Postal Service (click "Find a ZIP Code" at http://www.usps.com and follow the onscreen instructions). Now, tell me how that helps at all. They almost directly change the subject,....Jeff, we understand you need to change your nickname....next sentence is telling me how to change my billing.
Also, i went through the process of changing billing and other info, which of course, didnt do ANYTHING to help change the nickname.

Depends on what you would like to do.
Select a forum (like this "J2ME Wireless Toolkit" forum) and you're able to post a new topic or you're able to answer on existing topics.
I think that it's not possible to delete topics. Of course that makes sense, because a forum can be used for searching to answers on questions :-)
Changing your profile can be done by using "Forum Settings" (on the left). Changing your nickname can be done by using "Forum Settings" and then clicking on something like "account settings" (I am not sure, but it's a link on which you can click inside "Forum Settings").

Whenever I try to leave a review, there's a message popping up saying nickname already taken so change it. However, I tried to change my nickname from game center. What should I do so that I could leave a review?

How to change your nickname in game centre using macbook pro OSX Yosemite

I want to change my nickname in game centre but don't know where to go so pls if anyone could help me out.

You can change your computer name in System Preferences (found under the Apple menu) in the Sharing pane. At the top of the pane it will say Computer Name: PowerBook G4 15".
Note that the name can contain spaces. Mine, for example, is Ministry of Magic.
Delete the current name and enter the new name. Note that you do not have to click the edit button out to the right. That is only useful if you want to change the bonjour address on your local subnet to be something different from NewComputerName.local (where NewComputerName is the new name you just changed it to.

It is safer to create a new account as your Mac does not like its account names being changed, so it is not succumbing.

Have emoji in my GC nickname, cannot change it! Crashes every time I try.

I have an emoji icon before and after my Game Center nickname. Every time I try to change it through settings, I either get "Update your account. There was a problem connecting to the server." or it just crashes and brings me back to the home screen on my phone. This never happened until I added the emoji and now I just want to delete them but I can't. Any other way to change my GC nickname?? This is a brand new phone from Verizon and I set it up as a new phone rather than restoring it (replaced one that crapped the bed the other day).

Load Gamecenter, click on the banner that shows "Account: [email protected]" This will attempt to load your account page, log in. Scroll down to the "Nickname" section and tape your current nickname to change. Tap Done and Save and unless it's already taken, you're good to go.
