Change Number Issue in CG02

Hi All,
I created a change number and uploaded certain identifiers for some substances. After uploading i am amazed to see that the previous data(Identifiers) available are overwritten and also all the property tree values are deleted. Now could you please tell me how can i retrieve the old change number data again, or is there any possibilities to delete the existing change number. Note : I tried to delete but i got a message that "Change Numbers not deleted(Materials Exists). Please help me on this issue.

your result is "curious". The use of "change numbers" is not easy (not to say very tricky) in EH&S. Could you please provide more details regaridng how you have prepared the set up of the change number and how you have applied the process?
Normally this is the process: you generate a change number so that data should be valid starting on some day (lets assum 01.01.2011). Now you should be able to do an upload by using the change number you have defined. Now If you take a look "today" in the system you should not "see" the loaded data.But you can change the "key date" in CG02. If you do so and you would select 01.01.2011 you should find the loaded values as an "add on". Now depending on your set up a number of results could come up.
E.G. one possibility to use change number is to prepare DG data whcih should be valid in the future. To do so the "old" data must be "deleted" in some sense so that you have "unique" DG data starting this day.
One further posibility is to perform an "update" on an existing datan record using change numbers.
So it might happen that you have now "deleted" your "old" data by "wrong" using the change number approach.
To my knowledge there is no way back. The EH&S system has performed a "split" in the data records in such a way that the old data does have noe the "Del" falg and is valid until "yesterday" and the new data record are valid from now on not having the del flag.
So I am sorry. There is in my opinion o easy way to get the old data "back".

PI 7.31 (single stack) posting RFC gives this error: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: Processing of change number CO-01234 cancelled (raised by system ECCHostXYZ)

I'm trying to determine if I am dealing with an RFC connection issue or just an error resulting from the RFC itself.
The error says "Processing of change number...cancelled (raised by...ECCHostXYZ)".
I thought this was a problem with my RFC config because it is labeled as "RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE".
However, when I google that specific message, it appears to be an error specific to change order creation.

When I check ST22, I see no RFC errors.

Hi Jody,
No st22 exception is needed to be throwed in order to raise a controlled exception in the RFC.
You would need to check the RFC in the ECC system with the data that you are sending from PI, if the data is the same, you would need to check PI user RFC roles with the ECC roles user that you used to check the data integrity in the ECC test.
To avoid this error you can do a Z RFC to wrap the standard RFC and to control the exceptions errors with a BAPIRET2 strucutre to return to PI.

MM02 - Enable options change number, change overview and change documents

I am with the following problem: I enter the transaction MM02, I enter the material 1000765, I select the view "Classification". Later I access the environment option from the menu bar and options for change number, change overwiew and change documents are disabled.
How do I enable these options change number, change overview and change documents?

Hi Sergio,
If we activate the change documents for classification data, then we will be able to see the CHANGE DOCUMENTS for characteristic values through CL20N transaction (CL20N via menu ENVIRONMENT --> Change Documents) or MM02.
For reference please check SAP Note 65124.
For enabling change documents for classification data in SPRO --> Cross-Application Components --> Classification System --> Classes --> Maintain Object Types and Class Types.
In this enter into MARA table entry. Inside that corresponding to the respective CLASS TYPE (say 001) enable the CHANGE DOCS check box in Classifications part (For enabling this please check SAP Note 65124). Then for this CLASS TYPE (say 001) inside the OBJECTS folder, enable the CHANGE DOCS CLASS checkbox also.
Now in MM02 and in CL20N under menu Environment --> Change Documents you can view all the changes done to that characteristic values.
Once the change documents is activated, then we can get the change documents details in CDHDR and CDPOS tables. The OBJECTCLAS may be "CLASSIFY". We can also use the "CLLA_CHANGE_DOC_CLASSIFICATION" function module to fetch the data from these tables.

ECM-Problem with Change number in CS01 and CS02 Transactions

Hi Experts,
I am creating or changing BOM's using above transactions. I am entering the change number while creation and changing the BOM to track the changes.Here my problem is these transactions are not validating the ECM number.
If you enter any value in the change number filed system is allowing me to create a BOM.
I am assuming that becasue of patches applied to system,I am getting this.
kindly help me out on this issue.

We are not using CC01 transaction to create Change number. Z transaction is there to create change number.
My change number contain alpha numreic charectors Eg : 341793ABCXYZ
Yes, in CS01 system is accepeting any value that we enter :Eg: asddfgh. The value is not there in AENR table.
I observed one thing If I am going to chnage a material using MM02, there its not accepeting any value,its accepeting the values which are there in AENR table otherwise its giving error :Change Number XXXXXXXX does not exist.
My question is same thing should function in CS01 and CS02, why its not happening for these transactions.

Change number that are not created earlier accepted for change of BOM

Hi,
When i am going to change BOM it gives warning message "Enter change number, BOM has history requirement"
But my problem is when i put any number in field of change number it is allowing me to change the BOM.
It should not be accept any number that are not created earlier in the system. It must have to accept change number that is created for the history requirement for perticular material. kindly give your input on this issue.

Serial number issue in STO PGR

I am facing serial number issue after doing PGR
i am into STO process . Oce PGI for outbound delivery is created and then MIGO (PGR) will happen at recveing pant
issue is after MIGO (PGR) the serial number status must be in AVLB ..but it is still in EDEL ESTO ...
The AVLB status must come automatically in the equipment master.

I am doing through PO...we don't have inbound delivery process ... so i do MIGO with reference to PO
We have equipment master IE01/2.. plant is assigned after MIGO reeving plant is getting updated in the equipment master but the serial number status is not getting changed to AVLB.... also the serial number profile is with MMSL procedure.

Cancel ECN in BOM & remove change number in Routing

Dear Gurus,
I have 2 questions about ECN , pls. help .
1> If we made a wrong ECN in BOM with change number, pls. advise how to cancel this ECN in BOM.I tried to delete the change record in CC02 but it's not allowed since BOM has been changed already.If I made a new change in BOM with new change number, in BOM it will show a new change number, but I don't want to show these change numbers because it should be no changes happen, pls. advise how to recall the change and remove the change number in BOM .
2> We use change number when we change routing ( CA02) in the past, now due to some internal issue, we want to remove all change numbers in routing, I can't find any option in CC02 or CA02, pls. advise is it possible to remove existing change number?

Dear Tina,
In my understanding you may not be able to delete the change number assignment made in BOM or routing.
But you can define an alternative date for the made changes and set the valid from date as say 31.12.5555.
Check and revert.

Change number in CS12

Hi ,
Our client's requirement is that when ever i create change number for any material, it should get displayed in the transaction CS12.
It is not at all comming in the report CS12.
Iam not sure about the role payed by the "validity period" of the change number and the "validity period" of the BOM in this case.
Pl. let me know what should be the case for this issue( change number not appearing in CS12).
Also i have another issue regarding the same topic.Iam raisng this as a seperate query i the forum.

I have creted a BOM.
Then created a Change number and based on the change number, i altered one material, with validity of this change number in the future date. System failed to display the change number of the material in CS12.
Again i repeated the same exercise with the validy of the change change number in the PAST. System displayed the change number.

Material Serial Number Issue.

Material Serial Number Issue.
Its better to explain with the example.
Material Number : ABCD with serial number as 123456
There is a reservation for the Material ABCD from work order, now the warehouse person Goods Issues for the reservation ABCD with serial number 06-123456.(he issued wrong serial number)
Correction action - Reverse Goods Issue for serial number 06-123456, now Goods issue for correct number as 123456. But the systems doesnot allows the serial number, error Material ABCD 123456 is already installed. Thenin IQ09 the material ABCD with SNO 123456 is INSTL Status.
Now question.
1. In 1st place how system allows the Goods issue for particular reservation with different serial number?
2. Without issuing the serial number 123456, how the status changed to INSTL???
3. How to solve this problem, need to change the stauts of Material 123456 as ESTO, then i can do goods issue,. how to change the status??

Hi,
Ask the workcentre to give that materail with 202 or 262 mvt to you. Now with the new reservation issue the required serial number material to site.
System does not have the serial number in reservation slip.Manually u are assigning it diuring the MIGO.

Error in change number creating BOM in Engineering Type.

Can anyone guys help me with my problem.
I'm creating Bom using BAPI_MATERIAL_BOM_GROUP_CREATE.
Every time I create BOM Using one bom only in engineering and all BOM for materials were created.
But every time i create rerun the program and have different change number on its components, the error occur,
"Generation not Supported for Change number"

Change number

I have created a change number for changing a routing with valid date as 1.1.2011
While changing the routing, if I donu2019t give the change number the operations are changeable.
If I give the change number in CA22, the operations are not editable..
I want to change the production time in the operation 0010 and 0020.
But its unchangable(greyed out)
Please help me out what is the problem..

Its difficult to solve the issue with the information you provided. Only thing I can suggest is to check the status, object type settings etc for the change number. One more thing you can do is to use the change number on another object to see if its ok.

Routing Process in Change Number !

Hi Folks,
I am new to the PP module.So, I want know what is Routing ? How it can be created ?
And what all the dependencies one has to look for while creating ?
At the same time I have one issue regarding CN (Change Number ).
1. My Client is having one CN with the N number of routings associated with it.
2. I want to change effectivity of one routing among these N to current date.
3. Also I want to change another routing effectivity among these N to specific date.
4. After doing 2 & 3 I am updating the CN i.e. Change Number.
But when I update the CN all the other routings are also getting updated, which i do not want to happen.If I do not update the CN , changes made to the routings are not getting updated.
So, if any one has a answer for the above , please let me know.

Classification change not stored in change number using BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE

Hello SAP Guru's,
When using BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE to create classifications and using a change nr in parameters, the object is not recorded in the change nr.
When you use the transaction CA01, object is well created in change number.
We use the BAPI in a program and we need the object saved in change nr.
So if I read table AEOI, I won't find any entry under the change nr. It is the issue.
Why isn't it recorded?

Hello,
Please try to create a class first for a material-plant-batch as required by you manually.
After this step, check the key (Field:OBJEK) in table KSSK for the above manually created classification. Pick the OBJEK from the table KSSK and pass the key in the same pattern as that of the value from table KSSK.
for example in case of Document classification,
for Doc DRW-1234567890-00-000,
we have the key (OBJEK) as: <b>DRW1234567890 00000</b>

My Client Situation is like explained below
We have a Team called "ME" This team is responsible to create /modify the BOM whenever a modification is to be required
Change number is mandatory,but the user is giving the past change number and modifying the BOM.This is to be rectified
i.e., user should not use the old change number

Change Number, Frustration...

tried million times to change number from MyVerizon...always always stopped at the last step...the system shows: we couldn't change your number online and please try again or call customer service....Call 800#, the answers were all the same...sorry the number you chose was not available....
Can someone help me out?
When is the best time to change number .... I suspect that Verizon releases numbers at certain time in a day, if I miss that time, although the number is still available on my screen, it actually is chosen by other users....

I'm sorry for any trouble in changing your number online. I can provide you with some information on this process.
If you are changing to an area that is in another state, for example, and you need to change your number for that reason, that kind of change can only be done through Customer Service. If you are within the same "local area," the change can be completed online. A description of a "local area" is, for example, changing from a Chicago number to a number from the Chicago suburbs can be done online. But, changing from a Chicago number to a number that is based out of state, cannot be done online.
The best day to change your number is on the first day of your billing cycle. If you are unsure of what that day is, it is the day after the date listed on your bill. (If your last bill was dated October 24th, then the first day of your billing cycle is the 25th of the month). If changing your number on the first day of your billing cycle, you avoid prorated charges altogether for making the change.
