Change of apple id causing problems

I have recently changed my apple id, but my iPhone still shows my old id, and then won't accept my new password, so I can't download apps or do anything that needs my apple id and password to match.  How do I let my phone know that my apple id has changed?

Hi
I have an iphone 4s and had a similar problem which I have since rectified.
Try this;
Go to settings - scroll down to and click the 'itunes and app stores' - which id is displayed in the apple id icon?click apple id - then click sign out and sign in with new account or updated details - click sign in.
I hope this helps.
Bye

  • Changing Apple ID Causing Problems

(This could also be cross-posted to iCloud and anything else that involves the use of the Apple ID)
My long-time ISP has gone belly up, so I've lost my email address. Thus, I'm going around changing accounts and informing correspondents of my new address.  I changed my Apple ID a couple of days ago to my new address and set a new password. Since then I have been having all sorts of problems with such things as iTunes, the App Store, and iCloud, where my Apple ID and password are requested/required to proceed. In most cases, the standard Apple ID + Password dialog or just the password dialog (with Apple ID already set and unchangeable) pops up. In most cases, it seems that my new Apple ID (i.e., new email address) has not been propagated to other places in the Apple ID "infrastructure".  Where a dialog shows the old Apple ID, I have tried both old and new password to no avail. Also, I only just read and realized that my iTune/App Store purchases are tied to my old Apple ID, which is not longer valid. In addition, iCloud (which I, perhaps unwisely, set up with my Apple ID for access) will not grant me access using either my old or new Apple ID. Yikes! (Not really the words I've been using.)
Can someone lead me out of the swamp?
    Thanks,
    dds

For iCloud:  Navigate to settings >> icloud.  Click Delete account at the bottom and then sign back in with the updated address and password.
For iTunes:  settings >> itunes and app store.  Same idea.
But, the answers to Chris' questions are kind of important...

Ok.  Found something that said to shut down and hold the option, command, p, and r keys on restart.  Held them down for a few restarts and everything automatically signed in and works.  Woohoo!!!

  • Apple TV causing problems with Airplay from Airport Express?

I am having a problem with Airplay on my home network. I have two Airplay devices - Apple TV and an Airprot Express. I soon as both of these devices are on my wireless network Airplay starts to create all kinds of errors, delays, inability to connect and ultimately both AP devices crash.
The AE is connected to the existing network and is only being used as an airplay device to send music to a set of speakers.
I have looked at the knowledge base & I tried all of the following (plus every conceivable combination):
Restored both the Apple TV & AE to factory settings.
Checked both are on independent IPs.
Checked all the settings on my router.
    Restarted my router.
Changed the channel on my router (it's worth mentioning here that both devices are on a 5GHz connection).
It's also worth noting that when I did a factory reset of everything and set the ATV up on an ethernet connection everything worked swimmingly until I unplugged the ethernet cable and connected the device to the wireless network.
Both work independently (i.e. when the other is not connected to the wireless network), but need restarting if the two have been run at the same time.
So - in a nut shell - it appears to me that the two devices are interfering with each other - but how?!
Are any geniuses out there able to help?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks Winston. I put the APE onto the 2.4 connection. This didnt solve this issue, but then with the two devices on the different connections I changed the channels a few times and eventually I found a coblination that works! I now have a problem where the ATV doesn't wake up to AirPlay, but I feel this is most likely a separate issue.

  • Two apple identities causing problems

My apple account on my ipad ID (@mac.com) is different from my iCloud ID (@me.com). Can I delete the iCloud ID and create a new account that matches my mac.com account?

I can certainly change the name, id and primary e-mail address of my AppleIDs that have not been associated with iCloud (three separate fields).  For the AppleIDs that are associated with iCloud, the id and primary e-mail address are one in the same.  But I still have the ability to edit the id and change it to something else.
You may have more than one AppleID, have you tried searching to see if you have multiple AppleIDs?  https://iforgot.apple.com
Also, check your settings on the iPhone and see if you have configured the device to use more than one AppleID.  For instance, the AppleID i use to sync my iOS device too is different than the AppleID I have set up for iCloud on the same device.  On the settings of your iOS device, look under iCloud and Store.  See if they are the same or two different AppleIDs

  • I have enrolled for the apple developer program but apparently have the same account name in iBooks. I need to change the iBooks account but don't know how. Do I change my apple id? Will this cause me problems with iTunes etc etc?

I have enrolled for the apple developer program but apparently already have an account with iBooks, cant have this it seems.how do I change my iBooks account, is this the apple id for my iPad and if I change this will it cause problems accessing iTunes etc?

I guess nobody knows if the crash that occured was legitimate or not?  Apple phone support could do nothing for me, so I guess I am left to drive 45 minutes to the nearest store.

  • Apple ID change causes problems

  • I have two Iphones with different email addresses sharing one Apple ID. Will that cause problems with using messaging and FaceTime?

I have two Iphones 5 with different email addresses sharing one Apple ID account. Both are using IOS 8.
I would like to set up a new Apple Id for one of the phones and remove it from the old account.
If I do that, can I move all of the purchased apps and songs to the new Apple account?
Also, will sharing one Apple ID account with two devices cause problems with using messaging and FaceTime?

Sharing an iCloud account between two devices can be done without causing issues with iMessage and FaceTime, just go into Settings for each of these functions and designate separate points of contact (i.e. phone number only, or phone number and unique email address).  While that works, you'll then face the problem where a phone call to one iPhone will ring both if on the same Wi-Fi network -- but again, that can be avoided by changing each phone's settings.
Rather than do all that, don't fight it -- use separate IDs for iCloud.  You can still use a common ID for iTunes purchases (the ID for purchases and iCloud do not have to be the same) or you can use Family Sharing to share purchases from a primary Apple account.

  • My "Apple ID has been disabled" keeps coming up even though I have changed my  apple password, as requested, to solve the problem. What do I do now?

My "Apple ID has been disabled" keeps occurring even though I changed my Apple ID password, as requested to be the thing to do to solve this problem.  This is also doing the same on my iMac at home... which uses the same Apple ID and Apple ID password as my iPad...What do I do now?

I have moved from the US to Norway, and want to change my apple ID to the Norwegian appstore. However, I am not allowed ot change from the US store before I use up my balance, which is 0.17 dollar. The problem is that nothing costs 0.17 dollar and I do no longer have an american visa card, only Norwegian. Is there any way I can erase the credit on my account so I can change the appstore country? Or osmething I can use this credit on? Thank you very much

Try contacting the store support staff at: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html they are usually pretty good at sorting out these issues.

  • I changed my Apple ID but my iCloud ID is causing trouble

I changed my Apple ID and everything was working.
Now I went back to my phone one day and it asked me for my iCloud password for a backup, but the email is still the old one.
If I check iCloud in settings there's the old email.
Entering the password doesn't work because the Apple ID is gone and it'll always say it's wrong but in order to remove the iCloud ID the password must be entered, because Find My iPhone is on.
How do I get it to change without losing data? A new iCloud account is absolutely not an option.

Hi - I am having the same problem - but I can't delete the iCloud account without the password, however, because find my iPhone is on and to turn it off I need the old password. It is a very frustrating roundabout I'm on. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I have lost all my contacts and need to restore a back up...
If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    Hey 1Jerry,
Thanks for the question. You'll want to delete and re-add your iCloud account (utilizing the new Apple ID address). When prompted, opt to keep as much information on your device as possible. The following article provides information on how to do so:
    iCloud: Change iCloud feature settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2613
    Turn off iCloud completely
Depending on whether you want to stop using iCloud on all or only some devices, do one or more of the following:
On your iOS device’s Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Delete Account.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
