Change of Country - Purchased Apps?

Hi,
I am currently in UK and have been purchasing apps from the UK store. However, I am moving back to my home country in a couple of months and would like to sort out my apps before heading back.
The existing problem that I'm facing would be getting all my purchased apps transferred to my home country's iTune account. Would a simple delete and re-download work, for free apps, after changing countries?
How about those apps that I have paid for? Would I be required to pay for them again?
Any suggestions to go around this problem?

I'm having exactly the same problem.
Moved from Argentina to Brazil. None of my previous apps is visible in the "purchased" screen. I can re-buy them for free, but even after a re-buy they're still not visible. And this re-buy process is very scary. There is a pop-up telling me that I can download the app for free since I own a previous version, but it appears only AFTER I allready clicked buy.
This is really anoying!!! Why aren't the stores better integrated? After all, I'm still the same person, with the same Apple ID, using my same credit card!

How do you change a country in App Store

I went onto the App Store today and my country changed so I can not see my purchased apps because they are in another App Store
Can one of you help me and thanks in advance

Settings>iTunes and App stores>Apple ID
Tap your ID
Tap View Apple ID
Enter your password
Go to country/Region in the popup window to change the store.

Changed a country, all apps (Mac + iOS) are gone

A few months ago I changed country, only to find out that I cannot see updates through iTunes anymore.
Luckily I could still update through my iPhone, and if I didn't have the app I could just re-purchase it for free.
I got used to the situation until last week I could no longer download updates on the iPhone nor the Mac App Store.
This message in shown in both stores - "you cannot update this software since you have not owned the major version of this software".
I contacted Apple only to receive a representive very unwilling to help, ignoring everything I say and just quoting me the terms of service and instructions how to view my purchase history.
Apparently I do not own any of the apps I purchased in my previous country. I cannot download or update them anymore. To do this I must pay again!
I've been told to just switch a country, however I have credit on my account so iTunes will not let me switch.
Now I cannot download any of my paid apps, as well as OS X Mountain Lion which I bought on my previous country.
Apple support refuses to help me, telling me I must paid for everything and gave me a couple of apps for free as "a courtesy".
This is the representative final response - ignoring everything we talked about, especially the fact I cannot change a country:

Any apps that were purchased in the previous country will need to be repurchased as it's not possible to update apps after changing countries. We re grant the two apps as a courtesy.

Hello. I want to change my country on my id. But I still have balance so I can not change it. And I want to spend my balance but I cannot. Because my balance is 0.59 pound and you can not buy anything for that price. Please help.

I have moved country and because I have .82 cents in credit on my account it won't let me change country ? I have tried buying something in the hope that it will use my credit and just take the additional from the CC but that doesn't work.

I have moved to UK and changed my region but now cannot get updates of Apps purchased on Australian store. Is there a way around this?

Yes I am looking in the app store. When I look in Itunes on my computer and look at purchased apps it is there. And when I go on my other device and look at apps purchased all apps are there.

Here's a little more information from a previous post:
iTunes Store content is country specific. When you change countries, you no longer receive app update notifications on your iOS device or in iTunes for the apps you purchased in your original country, nor do those Apps appear on your new country's Purchased page.
However, you will still be able to download those applications again for free if they are present on your new country's store (even if they are updated).You will not be charged and the download will not appear on your Purchased page. If a previously purchased app is not available in your new country, you will not be able to download it again.
