Change of mode for Reference key-1

Dear Friends,
Could I know how to bring the field of XREF1 ( Reference key-1 ) in change mode as we need to update some data there after saving of vendor invoice ( MIRO / FB60 ).
Please guide me.

is there a way of changing transaction mode for each savepoint during a transaction?

By transaction mode is meant the mode set at the beginning of the transaction i.e READ ONLY or READ WRITE in Oracle (and not the isolation level).
We need to simulate several transactions within the same transaction for test purposes. Since each simulated transaction may be either readonly or readwrite we need some way to change the transaction mode several times during the transaction. What we have come with until now is to use SETROLE to toggle between a role with "readonly" rights and one with full "readwrite" rights. Are there other ways?

Change account assignment for posting key-urgent

please advice, when running mb30, in accounting doc for material xxx we want to change account for posting key 91 with other account since the old one is blocked.How to change this account assignment then?

I am not sure whether MB30 Tcode exist. anyways, if you are sure of the Movement type with which your document is getting posted, then you can get the details of the Transaction in the OMWN. In OMWN please select the Movement type and you will see all the Tr Keys.
Or you can get into OMWB and select Simulation. Give the material, plant and movemnet type and then select the account assignments you will have all the information.

Change keyboard configuration for special keys

Hi guys,
I want to change the default behaviour for some special keys when running windows.
I want the Cmd (Mac) key to be the Alt (Win) key and the Fn (Mac) key to be the Ctrl (Win) key.
Is this possible?

Thanks for your answer Fortuny, but it seems the Ctrl and Alt keys can't be re-mapped using that application... I'll keep searching
Edit: You pointed me in the right direction I found a similar application to the MSKLC called SharpKeys, I was not able to edit the Fn key, but at least a could remap the left Cmd key to be the Alt key.

Change keyboard output for specific key

I own an iMac with an Apple (USB) keyboard. I'd like to use the right-side numbered part of the keyboard as a calculator. However that's very inconvenient because I' European (Greek) and the dot (.) sign is used in Europe as a thousands separator. So when I need to type "33,01" I need to search the comma (,) and I lose plenty of time.
Is there any app or way to change this behavior? I'd like the right side dot (.) - +the one sitting between 0 and "return"+ - to act as comma.

Reference Key 3 Field in Accounting Document Question

Hi Experts,
I have a problem regarding the Reference Key 3 Field (BSEG-XREF3) to be maintained for Vehicle Number Values in Accounting Documents.
My Requirement is when creating Journal Vouchers (tcode FB50): this Reference Key 3 will be filled according to the vehicle number. Example, they have JVs for Tyres (non-stock), they will put in the G/L Account and the Item Description like 'Tyre Treatment (replenishment) the quantity 2(pc), amount 40dollars and the vehicle number in the Reference Key 3 field. Then SAVE.
But I want this requirement also in the MIGO transaction during Goods Receipt. But when Goods Receipt has been made, the value of the Reference Key 3 of the accounting document is set to the YearMaterial Document CreatedLine Item.
Is it safe to change the value of Reference Key 3 during the creation of GR/GI? What is the impact to other transactions? Because I know there is a clearing tcode F.12/F.13 where it uses XREF3 for Clearing Documents.

How is the Reference Key 3 Field being configured as making the value to the Accounting Document from posting GR in MIGO? Please indicate the configuration. Else, if there are no configuration or no way to stop the system to fill the XREF3, can I just do substitution exit for MIGO to change the Reference Key 3 Field (XREF3)?

Userexit asking for access key in CMOD

Hi Experts,
I am trying to write source code for an user exit in CMOD by creating a project and assigning enhancement to it.
When i click on user exit and press change it asks for access key .
Can you please tell me if there is any other way to write source code inside it ?

1) Create the project
2) add the enhancments
3) Double click on the EXIT_**********
4) Place the cursor at the include double click and hit the enter so that you will get a pop up asking to create that include
5) write the code & activate it
6) back to enhancemnt screen and activate .
You should not enter in into the exit in change mode, enter into the exit(f.m) in display mode and then Place the cursor at the include double click and hit the enter so that you will get a pop up asking to create that include so that you can write the code in that include and activate.

How to capture the change in the update mode (for Inventory) in a transport

Hi all,
I recently changed the update mode for Inventory Controlling from Unserialized V3 Update to Queued delta in R/3 DEV environment. When I was doing the change it did not prompt for a transport request. Now I have to somehow capture this in a transport and move it to R/3 Quality environment. How do I capture this change in a transport.

there are 2 options
1) try changing back and forth and see if it prompts for a request
2) Create a customizing request and add the following entry into the request
Program ID - R3TR; Object type - TABU; Object name - TMCEXUPD
and make the entry ...How ?? Click on the key that you see under the column 'Function'
client/application component.. if client is 100 and application component is 11
then the table entry should be 10011
Assign points if it helps
P.S:if you check the table TMCEXUPD shows you the update mode

Where does oracle write if put the database in begin backup mode for LONG PERIODs. Lets say I issued a "ALTER DATABASE BEGIN BACKUP" command in a busy database and forgot about it for a long time.
I understand that when the DB IS IN BEGIN BACKUP MODE, "the database copies whole changed data blocks into the redo stream." (Page 503 of 11.1 backup and recovery guide). But the redo stream is limited by the number of online redologs. After some time redologs also wont be sufficient for the changed data values after a begin backup is issued. I understand that there are archived redologs.
Lets say there are 2 redolog groups in this database and Lets say 10 archive log files got generated since the ALTER DATABASE BEGIN BACKUP was issued.
When i finally issue the "ALTER DATABASE END BACKUP" command, will Oracle sync the datafiles with the changed data blocks reading the data from these 10 archived log files ? What happens if i delete these archive redologs from the archive log destination. ??

Caution : If you fail to take the tablespace out of backup mode,
then Oracle Database continues to write copies of data blocks in
this tablespace to the online redo logs, causing performance
problems. Also, you receive an ORA-01149 error if you try to shut
down the database with the tablespaces still in backup mode.
it just says "performance problems", nothing more than that.*
Any answers ? I am sure this question would have popped to some of you senior DBA people out there.

The redo stream is not limited by the number of of redo logs, only the volume of data. When a log fills up, it gets archived. If all the logs get filled up before the first one is finished archiving, the db will stall until the next redo becomes available. The only limit to archiving is disk space (and bandwidth if that is an issue, which it can be in some configurations).

Need reference for Visa2 Key Diversification Function

I've been trying to find a definitive specification for the Visa2 master key to card key diversification function, but with no luck. I did find a Gemalto document that instead of using the diversification data supplied in the 0xCF 'GET DATA' response and the response to an "INIT UPDATE", specifies derivation based on the CPLC data (and calls that Visa2).
Has any one got a better pointer?

My question was "what is the reference document for the VISA2 key diversification function?".
I didn't ask about EMV key derivation because I already had that reference.
The CPLC data is NOT the same as the tag CF or INIT UPDATE diversification array. And in no GP document that I've found is it required to be. In fact the guidance is that CF is derived from tag 42 and tag 45 - card issuer and card id.
And FYI - I think the reference document for Visa2 key diversification is "VISA Card Production Guide" - probably 1.0, but I can't get a copy of that. Given other text I've found, I think the Gemalto "use the CPLC for diversification for VISA" is probably correct. But without a copy of the reference I can't confirm that.
