Change of Purchase order after Goods Receipt

Hi Guys,
Can the Purchase order be changed after the Goods Receipt??
If then what is the transaction Code used or what are the steps followed for the change of PO after GR(goods receipt)???
Regards
Jino

Sir,
It's not possible to change the PO for specifica line item if GRN exist against it..
Pl revese the GRN and then ammend the PO in terms of quantity or price or delievery schedule..
The Relase strategy for PO will get affected..
Typical exception..
In certain cases it can be seen.
The GRN exist for line item..
The ammedndment done in TAX breakup resulting in  derelease of PO..
and again PO has been release..
So Sir,
If the changes is in terms of quantity then pl reverse the GRN..
Otherwise go for ammndments,,with the pending GRN..

    Hi Sumit,
Po created with wrong tax code x1.
Stores person has done the receipt and consumed the stock.
Now user has suddenly realised that tax code is wrong and changed the tax code in PO.
In IR we will use correct tax code and post the accounting entry.
Stock values will be adjusted properly. to stock ac if stock is there and to price diff ac if stock is consumed.
Point is user's are asking that how system is allowing to change the tax code after receipt.
Point to be attended is restrict the change of tax code by any means after Gr has happened.
what are the possibilities to restrict the change of tax code.

  • Purchase Order Module  - Goods Receipt PO - Goods Return - AP Invoice

    Hi all expert,
    I have a senario is :-
Open Purchase Order Module  -> Goods Receipt PO -> Goods Return -> AP Invoice
Puchase Product A by "Purchase Order" with Qty 6,000 After "Good Receipt PO", found out 3,500 pcs is out of spec then "Goods Returns" 3,500 pcs. Then continue do "AP Invoice" with Qty 2,500 pcs.
Question is 1 week later, the supplier replacement back 3,500 pcs, so how am i going to start to steps? since PO have been close.
When i at  "Goods Receipt PO" wanna to copy from "Goods Return", it is show nothing.
    Your advise is highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Danny

    Hi Danny
i think you have to create a new PO then GRN then PI...since you copied the PO to GRN it will show as closed as there is a target doc. linked to the PO. A PO can be changed only if there is no target doc linked to it .
    Hope this helps.

    Hello,
I'm looking a report bring me Purchase Orders with Goods Receipt and waiting for Invioce Verificacion (MIRO).
    I appreciate any help.

    Hi,
ME2N - In selection screen, enter Selection parameters as
WE102 i.e. Goods receipt exists and in output screen put a filter on "Still to be invoiced (qty)" and "Still to be invoiced (val.)" as not equal to zero OR greater than Zero.
OR use RECHNUNG i.e. Open invoices and execute the report
    OR Use MB5S - GR/IR Balances

  • Automatic Purchase Order upon Goods Receipt 101/161

    Hi Guys,
Hope everyone is well. I would like to know in as simple terms as possible, what is the use of Automatic Purchase Order upon Goods Receipt mvt 101 or 161. Can someone explain to me the purpose of this? or applicable in which type of business scenario?
Because i think, if it is upon Goods Issue, then it is understandable, you would want to top up the stocks, but upon GR? Why?
This is a non configuration question, just a business process question..

This process is used in case of emergency when stock is required in the plant and we dont have time to first create PO and then get its approval and follow the normal process. In the case of emergency, we tell the vendor to deliver the material and on receipt of this material we take it into the system through GR and the corresponding PO is automatically generated.
Usually this is option available in system, but it depends on the clients requirement whether they want this option available to end users or not. Mostly our clients prefer not to have this option enabled, as this way can lead to irregularities by the users.
So they prefer to follow the normal process, but this process for above scenario is followed on war footings that way the GR takes place immediately when Goods are received.

  • How to block changes in purchase order after purchase release

    Dear all
Can u please tell us how to block any changes in purchase order after purchase order is released...
(We don't want any line items addition or quantity addition or any changes once purchase order is released..)We wanted this for a particular purchase order type only
    Regards
    Sudha

    Dear Sudha
Yes it is possible to confiquire your system insuch a way where once if the PO  gets final relase then it cannot be changed.Only possiblity that will be available for the user to make chanegs in PO is possible when the final release is to be reset and then make the changes.
Release Indicator: specicfies whether the PO documents is blocked or can be processed for the follow functions.
You can define the release indicators you need for your release procedure:
•The Released indicator is used to specify whether messages (PO documents in output format) may be transmitted for a purchase order with this indicator.
•The Changeability indicator shows the effect of changes to the PO (a change to a PO may require a new release strategy to be determined, for instance).
•By means of the Value change indicator, you can specify that the release strategy is to be re-started if a PO is changed and the value of a PO item thereby increases by a certain percentage (e.g. 10%). Set the Changeability indicator to "4 - Changeable, new release in case of new strategy or value change" or "6 - Changeable, new release in case of new strategy or value change/outputted" and enter a percentage in the Value change field.
And after that you can specify release statuese where you can specify which release indicator/status a PO is to have after having been released via a certain release code.
    and after release simulation .
Test for the PO change after final release System will not allow you tomake changes by giving the message that the release  indicator doesnot allow you make the changes in PO.

  • Restricting user from changing price in me22n after goods receipt

i want to restrict the users from changing the price of the material in me22n after after goods receipt.
pls tell me the userexit for it with detail.

Okay, then let me play the role of the bad man.
Why would you need to restrict users from changing a price after GR ?
Do you think that users are changing prices just for fun or to mess up the system?
Have you talked to users why they want change the price after a GR?
do you have an alternative plan, for the case that the price really needs to be changed to be able to post the invoice?  do you want to cancel always the GR in this case? Is is possible? What if the stock is already issued? do you then want to cancel the entire chain? what if a month end closure was already done?

  • Values disappear after saving the Purchase Order and Goods Receipt PO

    HI,
Our client is using SAP Business One 2007 A(8.00.181) SP 00 PL 47, When they raise Purchase Order for service item, the details and amount disappears automatically after adding the document and similar case for Good Receipt PO. But when they book directly in AP invoice the details and amount will appeared. So please help on solution for the above problem.
    Best Regards,
    Grayson

    Dear Mr Burton,
If I understood correctly you cannot see the information inside the document you added. This made me think that it is a GUI issue.
In the second answer you specified that when you try to open it again you'll receive the error message saying that there is no total value or total and I assume there is no information in the document.
I believe the second issue is a consequence of the first one.
I was suggesting to open a message on the portal (the message that requires the S number from the partners) in order to investigate the issue better.
However, as you have an error message that pinpoints to certain fields it could be possible to see the information in the tables. Do you have this information?

  • Change in PO Price after goods receipts and goods issue

    Dear All,
Happy Holidays!! Wishing you a happy and fun-filled holiday season.
I would appreciate your input of the issue at hand. I support MM users in and Oil & Gas downstream company.
    Issue
Purchase Orders are created using price estimates. The price of oil products fluctuates and we usually cannot get the exact price at the point of creation of the PO.
We use Moving Average Price (MAP) for stock valuation and so the price & quantity in the PO affects the moving average price.
We use price estimates to create the PO but when we receive the final price for the oil products from the Supplier, most times there is a significant difference between the estimated price and the final price. Usually, at this point, we have completed all goods receipts and goods issues against the PO and are unable to make changes.
We have an issue posting the invoice because the invoice value is significantly higher than the PO value. We also have an issue with the moving average price because it is understated as a result of this.
To reiterate, this is a summary of the issue:
At the point if PO creation ; Quantity = 10, 000 MT Price = $650
Later when final price is available; Quantity = 10, 000 MT Price = $715
Any advise on how to treat this issue, please? Your assistance will be truly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi All
For my client I have to map the similar requirement for material price which is subject to more than 15% fluctuation. The actual invoice price is having quite a huge difference.
Below are my limitations within which need to give a solution.
PO is subject to release strategy and Material is delivered over a longer duration of time. Hence there is problem to de-Release the PO everytime price is changed.
Since differnce is so huge, the same can not be settled during the MIRO.
Down Payments has to be posted hence PO has to be created with estimated base price.
Please suggest me suitable alternative options which will require no changes in PO and the price change also can be accomodated during the MIRO for  Multiple goods receipts.

  • Re-price of Purchase Order at Goods Receipt

If have the requirement that on Goods Receipt we need the Purchase Order to be re-priced. If I set the price date to 5 in the PO, this causes a re-price at GR, but is appears to do a complete re-price and removes any manually entered prices. Also, though the GR values reflect the re-price, the PO still shows the old values. The actual PO is not updated, even though a re-price for the GR has occured.
I have also tried using the IS-OIL functionality whereby you assign the value 'U' to the condition category in the price conditions you require to be re-priced. This appears to work in that any manual prices entered remain. However, again, the PO does not reflect the price change.
Can anyone please tell me how to get the PO to be updated, rather than just the values used in the GR.
    Thanks in advance.

    HI,
This is not possible. You have to play with the condition types for this.
This is like an example of Gold, you order gold at one price but at the time of recieving gold you pay another price. You may check the condition type created for gold purchase.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kiran

  • Purchase Order with Goods Receipts Query

    Hi Guys,
Am still getting to grips with JOINS, I am trying to get a query completed that will show all Purchase Orders that have outstanding items on them, but I would like to also show any corresponding Goods Reciept Notes for that Purchase Order, showing the individual lines with outstanding balances. Here is what I have so far:
SELECT DISTINCT T0.[CardCode] as [BP Code], T0.[CardName] as [BP Name], T0.[DocNum] as [PO Number], T0.[DocDate]as [PO Date], T1.[ItemCode] as [Stock Item], T1.[Quantity], T1.[OpenQty], T2.[DocNum] as [Goods Receipt No], T2.[DocDate]as [GR Date], T3.[ItemCode] as {Stock Item], T3.[Quantity], T3.[OpenQty] as [Left to Deliver]
    FROM OPOR T0  INNER JOIN POR1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry, OPDN T2 INNER JOIN PDN1 T3 ON T2.DocEntry = T3.DocEntry
    WHERE T0.[DocDate]  >=[%0] AND  T0.[DocDate] <=[%1] AND  T0.[CardName] =[%2]
I do only want to show the BP once for a given PO (hence my attempt at the DISTINCT command). Could someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction as I will want to turn this into a Crystal Report as well.
    Many thanks in advance
    Sean Martin

I have double checked your query logic. It can not hold true. Here is the right logic:
SELECT T0.[CardCode] as [BP Code], T0.[CardName] as [BP Name],
T0.[DocNum] as [PO Number], T1.[ItemCode] as [Stock Item],
    T1.[Quantity], T1.[OpenQty],
    SUM(isnull(T3.[Quantity],0)) as 'Received Qty',
    T1.[Quantity]-SUM(isnull(T3.[Quantity],0)) as [Left to Deliver]
    FROM dbo.OPOR T0
    INNER JOIN dbo.POR1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
    LEFT JOIN dbo.PDN1 T3 ON T3.BaseEntry = T0.DocEntry AND T3.BaseLine = T1.Linenum
    LEFT JOIN dbo.OPDN T2 ON T2.DocEntry = T3.DocEntry
    WHERE T0.[DocDate]  >=[%0] AND T0.[DocDate] <=[%1] AND T0.[CardName] =[%2]
    GROUP BY T0.[CardCode], T0.[CardName], T0.[DocNum], T1.[ItemCode],
    T1.[Quantity], T1.[OpenQty]
The column 'Left to Deliver' should be identical to 'Remaining Open Qty'
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Purchase orders and goods receipt

    Hi all,
for an excess stock scenario we need to combine the purchase orders vs the goods receipt information.
Obviously the place to go for PO is 2LIS_02* and for GR it is 2LIS_03*. Though I am still wondering how I can match the values coming from these two sources.
The main question two answer would be:
For a given point in time I need to see for one PO the amount of goods receipt that belongs to that PO. Is there any table where I can find that information combined ? And if so is there a BC extractor ?
I have searched the forum for quite a while, but as usual I might have raised the wrong questions :-).
I very much appreciate your time and help.
    kindest regards
    Horny

    HI Horny,
Can you use the Following Tables:
    S039 - > LETZTABG - Date: last (i.e. most recent) goods issue
EKPO -> EBELN - Purchasing Document Number.
You can create View by using these two tables (Material Number is the Common) and uploade the data.
Hope this will be helpful for your question.
    Thanks
    Rajesh
