Change of sim
I have put a CoverMore Global sim card in my Blackberry Torch and it will not connect to the internet. OK if I switch on WiFi but not through Optus the provider.
Is there a BIS plan on the CoverMore sim? That is required for any OS7 and prior BlackBerry.

But it has worked perfectly before the update!Your iPhone was almost certainly jailbroken to unlock it from the original carrier. Restoring the iPhone has now removed that jailbreak and the iPhone has relocked back to the original carrier. Only that carrier can authorize an official, permanent unlock, so you will need to contact that original carrier and ask if you would qualify for unlocking.

i changed my sim on my iPhone n reconfigured iMessage, it configured with my number but when i sign in with my apple id it says username/password is wrong while in all other things like FaceTime, App Store it worked with the same id and password..
can anyone help me to solve this issuei just opened my ipad, started my apple account/I.D. and realized I put the wrong e mail. I was having trouble correcting my I.D on the Ipad so I went to my laptop and make the proper changes/slash e mail address I wanted for my apple ID. I got back to my ipad and try to download an app I can't because I have to sign in my apple account and I can't because it still has the irrelivant I.D/email address..
So, i did what you said.. went to setting>app store> tapped on my e mail.. it asked me to sign in (with my invalid emails address showing). I signed in with the password I had created. It said "incorrect".. I went to reset password. I reset password, tried to sign in and it says again "unvalid password".. this is getting irritating. I have been asking and no one knows what to do. -
My Ipad is saying that i need to type in a Sim code to unlock, but i do not know what it is...I have tried every code i could think of and also the one that it originally was when i received my Sim. How do i unlock my ipad or change my sim pin?

The salesperson for my iphone 4 said on Christmas morning we could go to our online account, select my number, select to change my SIM card, and enter the ICCID number so that I'd be able to use my iphone 4 today instead of my old phone (not an iphone). I have not seen any such steps. Help?
I suspect the salesperson that told you that meant your online account with your carrier...have you tried logging into your carrier account online? To do this will require the sim number on your sim card, as well as the phone's IMEI number...you get the sim number off the sim card & the IMEI number, for the phone, is printed on the box.

hi . i bought unlocked iphone5 the last summer from apple store in Los Angeles , when i got back my hometown it did not work with LTE internet it just work with with 3G internet i changed the sim card 3 times and it is the same problem. when i try the same sim card with other iphone5 the LTE work very good ..!!
Where is your hometown?
If not in the U.S., the iPhone 5 sold in the U.S. does not work with LTE networks in every other country. There are different model numbers for the 5 sold in some other countries. -
I traveled to a different country and using a new sim/new carrier. With the change in the sim, I have been unable to use the iMessage--outside of WiFi coverage area, and FaceTime at all time. I believe it is due to the phone number registered as an address in the phone, which has not changed with the change of sim; so it countinues to showing as an error while varifying the data.
Wonder if any of you are in a position to advise as to how to address the following.
1. I need to input correct phone no, meaning the number I am using in the correct location.
2. I need to activate FaceTime and be able to use it.
3. I need to be able to use iMessage and/or ordinary sms while outside of WiFi coverage area.
It may be mentioned in my current location I don't have GPRS on the cell phone which is the case in my regular station.

The SIM has not affect on the contacts in an iPhone. Unlike other devices, the contacts are not maintained on the SIM card.

I phone 4 32 gb has been showing NO SERVICE since a day now and I'm out of town changed the sim, restored power, but no change in status!
Sometimes putting it in Airplane mode for 30 seconds, then turning Airplane mode off again will fix this. If not, try Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

So if your original phone WAS locked and the LOCKED one got replaced from the APPLE store...then there is a 100% chance it IS locked.

I was robbed yesterday and my GalaxyIII was taken. Unfortunately I wasn't able to install any anti-theft apps, like Lookout. I already tried using Plan B, but the thief just uninstalled the app and turned the phone off. I don't want this person to remove my SIM card and insert their own, and be able to use a brand new phone that they didn't pay for! So I'm asking, how do I change or create my SIM PIN to keep my phone from being utilized by an unauthorized source? I'm very upset, I've only had the phone for 4 days. Someone please advice.

As ritsbits1212 and silver6056 stated changing your sim pin will not be effective in preventing another to use the sim card or phone and the best action to take would be to notify us right away.

IMessage doesn't work after changing the sim. New number isn't even recognised.
I changed my sim from a German to a French one and the card is already active and calls are possible, but iMessage doesn't work. The new number is not recognised and iMessage cannot be activated.
I tried to switch it off and and and I reset the network, but nothing. I even removed the card a few times, but no change.

On my SD TV... Notice the black bars on the top and bottom. Once I go in and out of the guide the black bars are gone. I have reported this but if you are confirming the issue I will report it again.

I am also having the same problem. I purchased the iphone 5s (Unlocked) from kuwait. I can use the facetime in my zain sim (kuwait sim) when i change the sim in srilanka (Carrier Dialog) the face time app completely disappears. but in roaming for kuwait sim it works perfectly. before i have purchased iphone 4s from kuwait and it has facetime even in srilanka(carrier Dialog).
Is there any issue with the apple software for 5s? becoz till today no one is able to answer this query?
