Change overall volume w/o moving automation points?

Is there any way in Garageband to change the overall volume for a track that has volume automation without individually moving all the automation points? Like as in move them all up or down at once?

New to the boards, just recently came back to GB and new to GB 11. I can get all of the automation points highlighted, but I can't move them all at once regardless of where I click.
When I click a point on the curve where I would think it would drag them all up, it creates a new point. My lowest point is no sound (-144 I believe), but there is room for me to move the points up.
Would anyone be able to help with this?

Logic Pro X moving automation-Bug or not?

Having this issue on my side, perhaps if some of you can confirm if this a bug or is this only happening on my side.
Create a group of chanels. You know that feature where you group name and when you move one they all move.
After that turn on automation for the whole group.
Click to enter automation starting point... you'll notice that the automation gets drawn on all the channels of the entire group.
Now click another point into the automation (once again it will draw to the whole group) BUT now MOVE that second clicked in point a little back (to right of arrange page).... now go look at automation data on other group channels and youll see the automation data is now removed on those channels.
This never happended under LP9.
Is this a bug or has automation changed under LPX?

I can duplicate this, but only if I don't change the value. If I change the value, then all relevent automation points are added back in. It's a little strange, though, because sometimes I can make "one click" accidental moves and it won't reflect in the other tracks. Then when I go to make an intentional move that the other tracks do catch, they start from zero (or wherever it was) while the accidental move track is now a few value points ahead of them.
I might be inclined to look at it as intentional data thinning, except for the exception that can occur.

Volume change on track without disturbing set automated volume changes

I'm finished with my first project. When it mixed down to iTunes, I discovered that one track needed to be bumped down just a bit; but I don't want to disturb all the automated volume contours that I already set. Surely I can lock the whole track or group all the automation nodes and then change the volume overall while keeping the proportions of my automated volume controls, but I haven't figured it out. So in the last few days I’ve noticed that pressing my volume change keys actually isn’t changing the volume on my macbook pro at all. When I press the volume up or down keys, it makes the recognisable pop sound but stays at the same volume while the squares go up or down. I mute it but my computer still makes sound. It’s the same with the volume control up the top of the screen, too. I slide it up and down and it doesn’t change the volume at all. The only way I can change the volume is with my speakers or the program I’m in (iTunes, VLC etc). I restarted and it seems to be okay then I go to change it a couple minutes later and it’s back to not working again.
I’ve checked my settings- the “use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard fuction keys” is not switched on, and I have tried a suggestion of moving the com.apple.systempreferences.plist file out of the library and onto the desktop and restarting and neither of those seem to make any difference whatsoever. I’ve tried to find online forums but the only suggestions I found were those two and they didn’t work.
I’m just annoyed because I usually have the worst luck with technology but my macbook had been going strong and I got it because of the apparent lack of things that could go wrong, but of course even if there is one thing that could go wrong it will happen to me.
Please help!

Check, if you have a volume automation set on the software instrument track.
If the track volume automation curve is enabled, the volume slider for the track will move with the automation curve.
Click the automation curves disclosure triangle in the track header and disable the volume automation.

After adding a whole bunch of automation to pretty much every track on my first real project on GarageBand, I started trying to mix, and it seems the volume sliders are all locked up on the tracks with automation. I really don't want to have to add a million more automation points just to mix the song properly, so if anyone has a solution, that would be greatly appreciated!

Yes you can
On the track instrument selector, there is a row of small buttons, one being an upside down triangle. Click the triangle to display Automation. The default controller is Track Volume. You will see a bright green line which is the volume level throughout the track..
Simply, go to the location where you want to reduce the volume, click on the green line to insert a control point. The first click is used the maintain the current volume. Go to the point where you want the volume to be reduce to, and click-and-hold the line and drag the new control point to the target volume.
NOTE: Use the Shift key to adjust incremental amounts.

Why OS X Yosemite change primary volume name (core storage)

I have several Macs. I like to make fresh installs. My experience tell me that fresh installs makes everything work better.
On my iMac, making the fresh install of OS X Yosemite don't change primary volume name (has a not HDD fusion). O my macbook pro retina (late 2013) OS X Yosemite change the primary volume name and equal to the partition name, that is, change it to a core storage disk. I could understand if it was a fusion disk, but in this case it is just an SSD of 256 GB. It is a bug of OS X Yosemite installer? If this shouldn't happen, anyone could tell how can I solve that, that is, make a fresh install on my macbook pro retina without change the primary volume name.

Safe boot your computer.
Turn off computer. Hold shift key. Turn on computer. Keep holding shift. Once progress bar starts moving let go. If you can then login and use your computer it is not the OS it is some other application installed on the computer that is causing the issue.

Im not talking about a specific track, but a specific clip/sample.
For instance you have a clip/sample with the duration of 4 sec. and you want to adjust the volume of a part that's only 0.2 sec.
Is this possible?

Audacious volume changes Skype volume.

I think the topic title says it all. When I have both Audacious and Skype on and I change the volume in Audacious, the Skype volume also changes. It's easy to check - turn on Audacious but don't play any music, start a Skype conversation and manipulate the volume knob in Audacious. It doesn't change the overall system volume, because neither YouTube nor VLC are influenced by the process.
Why is it like that and how can I overcome? I would prefer not using PulseAudio just for this. I haven't got it installed and wouldn't like getting it just for this one thing. I enjoy a minimal system.
I use Gnome & Alsa on a regulary Syyu'ed 64bit system.

Maybe not the answer you're looking for, but you could try replacing Audacious with deadbeef (in the AUR) and see if it works better... Just in case no-one has the solution .

Is there a way to fix this? Was working fine yesterday. I've tried rebooting and turning Siri on and off, and can't think of what else to do. All googling results in posts about the mic not recording sound loud enough or not working. My mic works just fine; it does the job of recording, but I want the chime to be loud so I don't have to look at the screen to know when I can speak; I like to hear the chime to alert me. Any help is appreciated!

Can you change the volume display at bottom of screen to the song time instead?

I have just bought a new Ipod Nano and really like it! The only problem I'm having is when playing songs the bottom of the screen shows the volume level rather than how far it is through the song in time (like the old nanos used to show). I find it really annoying not knowing at a quick glance how much more of a song is left to play.
I know this info is displayed by double tapping the screen (although it is only shown temporarily). Is there a way of changing the volume level icon at the bottom of the screen to display the song time instead?
