Change OVM Agent Hostname

When I try to install the OVM manager (Deploy_Manager_Template.sh) I get the error
Oracle VM Agent [HOSTNAME] couldn't be connected
How do I change the value of [HOSTNAME]? The Hostname I set during install is not set up for DNS but I have added it to /etc/hosts

Changing the Agent in the Developer Program Portal

Our company just migrated one of our developer's iPhone Developer Program account to a company account.
I know many others on this forum have done this (FYI -- it only took 2 weeks, but we hassled Developer Relations a lot). But has anyone ever changed the agent? In the portal, there's a lock beside the agent's name and it looks like we need to call Developer Relations again.
As usual, I'll get a quicker response from the forums... so has anyone done it successfully? How long did it take? What happens to the account of the agent?

Change CCX Agent USER-ID

Good day,
I have a client that has a CCX8.0 with a CUCM
They have 10 agents created and working in the call center.
Recently they area replacing one of those agents.
They cant create another agent/user because they dont have more licenses, but they ask us to change the "user ID" for the actual user.
We have changed the "User ID" under "End User" menu in the CUCM7.
We can see the change reflected in the "RmCm>Resources" menu in the CCX, but the change is NOT reflecting un the "CCX Desktop Administrator".
We have already tried pressing the "Synchronize Directory Services" inside the "CCX Desktop Administrator" with no luck.
Also the user cannot login.
Do i need to make another change??
What im forgeting change the Agente User ID??

Hello Chris,
Ive tried what you suggested but the problem was the same with the creating of the agent.
I can see the new agent in the "RmCm>Resources" menu, but i cannot see it in the "CCX Desktop Administrator".

Dispite I downloaded app video calling for facebook from appStore, my safari on my MacBook don't work, instead app wants to change browser. If I do this (changing user-agent) what will happen with my safari???

Em12c changing oms server hostname - after install

I installed em12c R2 on a server with an incorrect /etc/hosts file. This has meant it has picked up in the configuration files the incorrect hostname.
Is there a straightforward way of changing an oms server hostname after install?

Depending on what you have configured, the steps are a bit different. Basically you need to backup and restore your configuration.
Follow the steps to completely backup your env (OMS, swlib, Repository, Agent, Inventory) for safe keeping. http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/ha_backup_recover.htm#autoId4
Export oms config --> key piece here!
Screenshot the OMS agent targets for validation later
Shutdown OMS agent and remove agent targets/host/agent from EM (as these need to be renamed and restored as well)
Shutdown oms
Validate your DNS/hosts file is correct before proceeding!
Then you will follow one of the recovery steps documented (as the software restore portion is not required) - for example single oms, no slb, same host - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/ha_backup_recover.htm#autoId15
Recover agent
Check agent targets, may require refresh of WLS Domain to get all targets in correct status again

Error while changing forwarding agent in shipment

Hi all,
Im trying to make change in forwarding agent for a shipment in VT02n . When i try to save it , one pop up came with message "Express document - Update was terminated by author'' .
The error info is " ZT 907: The communications link to the IT System has been interrupted"
Any idea why this error is coming ?

IN SM51- Need to change Application server hostname as small lock

In my SAP R3 4.6D system setup is like
1. R3 Database server (CI+DB) with one application server(DI). In Application server SM51 transaction screen application server host name is shows as Caps lock. But DB server hostname is in small lock.

Change Approval Agent in Workflow WS10400002 (SRM)

Hi Gurus,
My expertise in Workflow is very low and I have a requirement where I need to copy standard Workflow WS10400002 to a Z one and change the Approval Agent Determination. They do not want to use the Organizational Structure or Roles for this but instead they would like to have a Z table with the different users and determine the agents using ABAP. Is this possible? If so, how can I achieve this (I am not interested in the ABAP Code itself, but how can I call a routine or FM or program from the Step)?
I searched the Web and SDN but only found explanation on how this works in standard workflow.
Any help will be much appreciated.

Problem in 10gR2 enterprise manager after changing the servers hostname

Hello,
I installed 10g R2 Standard Edition on a Suse Linux Server Enterprise 10.
I have the following problem :
I changed the host name from “a” to “b”.
I made the required changes in listener.ora and tns_names.ora.
I also rebuilded the enterprise manager by starting dbca and click on “Configure database options” etc etc.
After that the WEB enterprise manager seemed to work fine.
I logged on the http://localhost:1180/em as sys/password/sysdba.
Then I clicked on maintenance > Backup setting the PROBLEM OCCURS !!!
I get again the web login page but in the connect string I get the old hostname.domain:1521:SID.
And naturally I cannot login because that hostname.domain:1521:SID does not exist.
Somebody knows how can I correct that?

Safari 5.0 changes user agent to become mobile device agent on G5 10.5.8

Safari 5.0 changes the default user agent on my two G5 Dual running on 10.5.8 deeply in the system , affecting ALL browsers in such a way that I can't access my CMS and my organization's website properly anymore. Each and every time it loads as 'default' user agent, but the 'default' user agent is now set to be some kind of mobile device.
I can check this since my organization has a script which detects which device you are accessing the site with and changes the layout accordingly. By setting the user agent to 'Safari 5.0' in Safari the page loads OK.
Worse is the fact that CMS works only with Firefox, and it's 'default' user agent is now also some kind of mobile device on my 2 different G5 Duals. This means that I can't access the CMS properly without manually go in and change the url. Doing a preview of a page in the CMS renders an error which can only be simulated by setting the user agent to 'default', both in Safari[5.0] and FF [3.6.3].
What happened here Apple?

Safari 5.0 and Firefox 3.6.3 an Opera there ARE the problems I have been trying to explain.
On the 2 PowerMac's, PPC, 2x2 Ghz, 10.5.8, ALL browsers pointing to:

jumps to:
http://unfccc.int/home/5198.php , displaying the page as if it was an iPhone or a BlackBerry.
On my 2 MacBook Pro's, Intel, 10.6.4 and all latest patches and security updates using
Safari 5.0 and Firefox 3.6.3 there are NO problems.
On the 2 MacBook Pro's, Intel, 10.6.4, ALL browsers pointing to:
http://unfccc.int
jumps to:
http://unfccc.int/2860.php , which is correct and displays the page correctly
On my iMac, Intel, 10.5.8 and all latest patches and security updates using
Safari 5.0 and Firefox 3.6.3 there are NO problems.
On the iMac, Intel, 10.5.8, ALL browsers pointing to:
http://unfccc.int
jumps to:
http://unfccc.int/2860.php , which is correct and displays the page correctly
There has been no changes to the CMS. CMS recognize the browsers correctly on all above, EXCEPT the from the 2 PowerMac's, PPC, 2x2 Ghz, 10.5.8.

Device Name Sporadically Changing ZENworks Agent Properties

I'm having a problem with a few Dell Windows 7 machines using ZENworks Configuration Management (ZCM) 10.3.4 client.
The problem is the device name, in the ZENworks Adaptive Agent Properties, is sporadically changing and reassigning with other device names and sharing the device name with another computer.
All the machines have been built from a single image, using R-Drive Image software, with the ZCM client already built-in to the image.
In attempt to resolve the problem, I've uninstalled the ZCM client, CASA as well as deleting the device name from the Zenworks Control Center (ZCC).
Re-installed the ZCM client and again received a different device name of a different workstation.
I've already tried using Zenworks AgentCleanup tool to remove the ZCM client and deleted the device name from the ZCC, but it did not resolve the problem.
I can only assume the problem lies within the image compiled with the ZCM client. How do I stop this from continually happening and make the ZCM report the correct device name and if possible, without having to create a new image?

Changing server's hostname

I have a need to change our Leopard server's hostname, and I was wondering if there is a preferred way to do this? When I first installed Leopard server, there was a reverse DNS error, and it screwed things up so badly that I had to reinstall the entire OS. I want to make sure that a similar problem doesn't happen when we update the hostname of the server.

Changed OVM IP.... cannot access guests over network.

I moved my test OVM server from one datacentre to another. This necessitated a change of IP address for the server and the guests. I was able to update the servers details in the OVS VM management app and all is well. The VM management server did not move. I can start and stop the guests etc etc. However I can no longer access the guest over the network. I can access the guests when I am logged on to the OVS server, I can ping, ssh and do all the things you would expect, I can even ping from inside one guest to another guest so there is, fundamentally, nothing wrong with the guest setups that I can see. It would appear as though packets to/from the guests are not being 'forwarded' or some such. I have triple checked all my network settings from OVS server and 2 guests and cannot get it to work. From inside a guest if I ping the gateway address I get no answer.
Is there something tucked away in the bowels of the xen configuration that still has some old settings ?
Surely I wouldn't have to re-install just because I changed the IP ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Is the MAC-address for the Xen-bridge in vm.cfg on the VM Server identical to the HWADDR in /etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-ethX ?

User changes from Agent to Supervisor frequently

Hi All,
I have a customer asking me to implement the below:
users should be able to change their role from Supervisor to agent and vice versa eveyday, if they are supervisor they go to different queues and get the call with delay.
So, what is the best way to impleemnt it in UCCX 9.0 ?
The part that I do not know is how user should be able to change his role without having access to administration page?

You can't, at least not without the HTTP REST Configuration API. Also, I suspect this is the wrong question to ask in your case. Based on your description, it appears you don't actually need to remove their supervisor rights (i.e. access to CSD), you only need to change their CSQ membership. That is supported through the Supervisor Access to Teams setting in /appadmin or the Mobile Skill Manager.

The "with delay" part is not going to be configurable at the user-level. A skill competency rating can make an agent least preferred but it will still be an instant decision by the RmCm subsystem. If you want the call to not be offered to the supervisor(s) until a certain time threshold you will need to have an extra CSQ and configure this logic in the AEF script, typically through simultaneous queuing.

I have already upgrade the Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 . I have a problem with my SMD error The SMD Agent 'BASAPI02' hasn't been found!
I want to setup E2E Root Cause Analysis for ERP 6.0 Stack Java system.
So I configured SMSY, I've already installed SMD Agent in managed system successfully also.
When I run the Diagnostics Setup -> Managed System -> Setup WIzard,
in the Setup Parameter Step , it said that " No SMD Agent is currently available (ie not assigned). Please install an agent for BASAPI02 or unassign an existing agent in Agent Administration Why is that so ?
In the Agent Administration ( DIagnostics Administration -> Managed SYstem -> Agent Administration) found that the agent is online.
does anyone know why this happens and how to resolve

The agent name registration or agent registration on it's own depends on the version of your diagnostics agent.
From diagnostics agent 7.20 and higher if you have installed it using default connection setting in sapinst then you don't need to seperately register the diagnostics agent in the agent candidate management.
Once the agent is known you should see it in the agent administration list. If you don't see the agent in the agent administration list it would mean it is not yet known and you have to go through the agent candidate management first.
The server name assignment is normally done through the managed system setup. After selecting your SAP system to be configured and pushing the setup button you get a screen in which you have to fill in the hostname, user+pass and so on at the left side bar. On the right side you should see one or more lines that represent your SAP system.
You have to expand that line and then select the appropriate agent from the list. After selecting the correct agent from the list your diagnostics agent will get the hostname assignment and you will be prompted to wait and refresh because the agent is then automatically restarted.
