Change page order in a combined document

I have been attempting to create a combined document with the pages in a specific order.
The pages are in the list in the proper order and then when it combines they are out of order.
Can I change the order of documents in a combined file?

You should be able to do this in Acrobat X and Acrobat XI by simply going to File>Create>Combine Files into a Single PDF, and adjust the order of the files with the tools at the lower left portion of the Combine window.  Is this not working for you?

  • How do I change page order on a document created in Pages 5.1?

    After reading some of the posts about the lack of ability to change page order in Pages 5.1, I decided to re-install Pages 09 from the DVD that came with my computer because some posts said it was a better program. After inserting the disc and responding to all the prompts it seemed to download everything but I can't find Pages 09, I only seem to have 5.1.
    I will take a solution to either problem, but all I really want to do is change the order of 2 pages on a 9 page document created using 5.1.

    It is in your Applications/iWork folder.
    Make sure you update it to the latest v4.3:

  • Changing page order within a file

    Just suscribed to PDF Pack, can I change page order within a file?  TIA

    Hi realestateguy,
    If you're using the Combine Files functionality in PDF Pack to combine multiple files into a single PDF, you can determine which order the files appear in the PDF. (Just select the files to combine, and then drag them into the order you want them to appear in the PDF.) However, if you're creating a single PDF, you need Acrobat to reorder the pages.
    I hope this helps.
    Best,

  • How to change page order in Acrobat Porfolio?

    How to change page order in Acrobat Porfolio? In older versions it use to be much easier to drag and drop the page order. I don't see any menu options on arranging the pag order. Any ideas? Thanks.
    I would post a screenshot but they have been disabled on these forums.

    You should ask in the Reader forum. But my guess is that Reader there is nothing you can do. Acrobat allows you to move pages around, but not Reader.

    Hi, how can I change the page order in my PDF file? I had read that it is possible but my editing options are showed gray and also my security settings cannot be edited.
    Do I need a special software? I have Acrobat Reader, and my document was exported from Illustrator as a PDF.

  • Changing page order?

    I read in a few posts that you can just drag the page to change the order under "view thumbnails". It's not working for me. I'm not exactly sure what I am doing wrong... Can anyone help me out with how to move a page in a different place?

    You are not doing nothing wrong. This function is not available in Pages 5.1 You do can in the old Pages 9.
    Maybe trying to open it in Pages 9 but I think it not possible, or you can workaround it by reconstructing the document; copy pasting the old documents on a page by page step at a new document. But if your document has too many pages it will be a nightmare then.

  • How do you change page order in new Pages???

    Old pages was nice and simple in this regard - highlight a page and move it up or down the thumbnail viewer to change the page order.
    Now it doesn't do that.
    AGH!!
    Or am I missing something?

    No, you're not missing anything. It's just one of the many, many features that have been eliminated or changed. Leave feedback for the Pages team using the link in the Pages menu.
    If you previously had iWork '09, those apps are still in your Applications folder in a folder named iWork '09. You can continue to use them to get things done.
    If you want to do this in Pages 5 you'll have to select all of the content you want to move, cut & then paste into the new locations.

  • Change page order inside a section

    I am putting together a membership directory, with one page devoted to each member. I thought I could easily change the page order (to make them alphabetical) after I completed each page by shifting the thumbnails. Wrong. Looks like you can only shift sections but not the pages inside of a section. Fortunately, I only have 7 to change around instead of the 70 I will eventually have. Any ideas?

    Hadn't thought of that. Did think to just cut and paste each page into the correct order. Perhaps the "section breaks" strategy would be easier...... I will have to delete them afterwards because I am also creating an automatic table of contents.

  • How do I change page order

    I have a six page document. I want to change the position of the pages for printing. I am unable to make page or section breaks. Three of my pages are all linked with that awful yellow line around all three and am unable to move any of those pages around within that three yellow line of pages.
    I think the reason is that my pages are mostly pictures, not text, and so if I click on the picture at the bottom of a page and go up to insert, I am unable to insert either a section break or a page break. How do I get aroud this?

    You do need a section break to separate the pages, but don't click on the picture, click on the page body. It's easier to see where you want to place your cursor if you go to View > Show Invisibles. It's not always easy to see where the cursor is with pictures, though. Try inserting some paragraph returns to see better. You can always delete them later.

  • How do I change the order of files and documents in adobe acrobat 9, in the Portfolio??

    I have been searching for 3.5 hours now and can't find the answer to this. Please help! I have created a portfolio in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, which has three files and three documents, the last step is just to arrange them in the right order. If you can please list step by step.
    THANK YOU!!!!!!

    I think you can remove suggestions from the address bar by arrowing down to the unwanted site on the auto-suggest drop-down list and pressing Delete.
    Make sure to arrow to another site or edit the address before pressing Enter or using Go, because that deleted URL will still be the address bar.
    Does that work?

  • How  to change page layout in an Appleworks document  to horizontal?

    I have written a lengthy document in Appleworks 6 in vertical A4 page layout, and want to reduce it in size by printing horizontally with two pages to a sheet. The Epson 56DBAD printer doesn't seem to recognize or allow for page layouts to be previewed, and neither does Appleworks, which when I try to preview eliminates the right and left margins!
    It's a simple thing, surely, to turn an A4 page onto its side and print two pages of a document side by side on it. What am I doing wrong?

    With your document open go to File > Page Setup & click the second icon (the one not highlighted in this screenshot).

  • Script to change page to section in entire document

    Hi,
    using CS2 (WIN) I have a problem with setting sections which might sound trivial. From time to time I have to set-up a questionnaire containing forms. These forms will be filled in later by the user. In order to give some advice on how to fill in the forms correctly, completion instructions will be provided as well. The problem now is that I have to create the forms first on numbered pages. After they have been reviewed, the instructions are added next to each questionnaire form and these must not have page numbers. Up to now I use two masterpages (one with and one without page numbers) but it is very time-consuming to set a new section for each numbered page manually (several 100 pages), so I was wondering if there is a possibility to let a script do the "splitting into sections" work once the numbered pages have bee set up, before I add the completion instruction pages.
    Thanks for your help in advance.
    Angus

    Looks interesting. But I'd like to keep it as simple as possible and avoid the part with the extra textfiles and just insert the code text straight into the menu file, kind of like this:
    mmaker --no-desktop -vf pekwm
    sed {
            find-and-goto-line-below-'root menu'-declaration, insert-text {
                                                                                                           entry for 'terminal'
                                                                                                           entry for 'run"
           ~/.pekwm/menu
    sed {
             find-line-below-'pekwm'-submenu-declaration, insert-text {
                                                                                                       entry for 'themes'
           ~/.pekwm/menu
    Obviously it's not real code but it's just to outline how I'd like to have it. Just need to know the correct syntax to make it work. I don't care much for 'Go To' and the rest.
