Change paper type in QM03

Hi,
any one can please suggest how can I change paper type in the notification. its by default set to letter format. I want to change it to A4 size for a particular user. is there any way I can do this?

Try to set the default printer setting in your PCs --> Start --> Devices and Printers --> Right click on default printer --> Printing preferences --> Go on Tab Paper --> Changes the Print on = A4.
I think it will resolved your problem.

I don;t seem to be able to change paper types using Pages 09,in Word I think I am right in saying you can change from various paper types in the print section. When I try this in Pages I do not get this option, I need to be able to print onto various Photo papers etc. Can YOU help.

I assume that you get the "bare" Print dialog :
If I am right, click the small black triangle pointed by the yellow arrow to get the 'complete' Print dialog.

Cannot change paper type from Android ePrint app when printing photos

I have the ePrint mobile app installed on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) and have a Photosmart 7520 printer at home. When I'm at home, I can see the same printer listed twice from ePrint mobile app on my phone, once via ePrint (with the printer's email address shown) and the other via wireless (with the printer's IP address shown). If I were to print a photo from ePrint mobile app, if I select my printer via wireless connection, I can see the option to change the paper type, i.e. either the plain paper or photo paper; but if I select the same printer via ePrint, the option to change paper type no longer appears in the app. When I'm on the go, I can only see my printer via ePrint and I cannot print a photo on plain paper due to the absence of the "paper type" option. However, if I were to print a document via ePrint mobile app, the option to change paper type does show up. So to sum it up: 1) Print photo from ePrint mobile app via wireless -- the "paper type" option is present;2) Print photo from ePrint mobile app via ePrint -- the "paper type" option is absent;2) Print document from ePrint mobile app via ePrint -- the "paper type" option is present. This cannot be by design, correct? Thanks.

I have done some research on your post.
You are correct, this is by design. This is due to the communication method being used. When using the ePrint app via ePrint it's sending the information via an email and limits the options available.

Color laserjet 2605dn changing paper type does not make the change at printer

I've had this printer for 2 years and have had this problem from time to time. This time I have not been able to find a cure. I'm running Win 7, 64 bit and the printer is on wired network.
When I change the paper type in the driver page to photo paper, the printer should slow the paper feed to allow for extra thickness. It doesn't, but I can change the speed by using the printer control panel to set it to photo paper (a bit of a pain since the printer is in a different room and it must be switched back to plain paper the same way when done).
I downloaded and installed the latest drivers (version 5.1.0.1), but this didn't help. The printer is still useable, but very inconvenient to use, so any help would be appreciated.

Look's like there are 3 different Universal print drivers (UPD) on the site. PCL6, PS and PCL5. I recommend testing the PCL5 driver if you haven't as yet. It is bizarre that this happens from time to time, but you cannot get it going again using teh same methods. Don't know if you have swapped out the network cable to see if that makes any difference. You can also try installing via USB to see if the problem continues in that type of connection, then run the network install again.
Is it critical that the unit slow down for this particular paper thickness? Have you noticed any print quality issues by leaving it unchanged?

Trouble changing paper type for printing

I downloaded Photoshop Elements 11 to a new computer (with much more memory and speed that old computer) but now Photoshop does not work as well. When I try to change the paper type for printing, the setting is stuck at "plain paper" and there are no other options available. Any ideas on how I can fix this problem?

It sounds like a printer driver issue, not a PS issue. Can you update your printer driver on the new computer?

HP Deskjet 2645: how to change paper type while photo copying

Currently use a HP Deskjet 2645. I used to be able to photo copy and change the paper type to either legal or 5x11. Now, when I try to photo copy a document, the only options are the three that's all A4. How can I fix the settings to be able to have the options I want back?

I want to change the paper type via Java Script to A4.
The hierarchy:
data -->pageSet -->page1 (A4)
Is this the right syntax, if I want ot switch the page1 to A4? ...and which "Event" should I use? --->initialize?

Or is this simply ensureing the page is formatted correctly when the document is opened?

How to Change Paper Type Using Java script

We have a requirement , in which we have to change the paper type i.e. "A2" , "A3","A4" etc. while printing using a JavaScript. I have written a code like this :

That's the right object for choosing the page size at Design time. What event are you doing this on? Although you can change it in the form model, the form's page size is already determined from the template by the time you have a form to script against, so although you can change it via script after the fact in XFA, I don't believe it will have any impact. Even putting it on the layout ready event does not work.

Epson 3880 cannot change paper types in Acrobat Print dialog

I use Adobe Acrobat as a RIP to print from on my Epson 3880. It looks like I might have to reconstruct all my printer presets since they've disappeared after the upgrade(?) to Yosemite 10.10.3. However the print dialog in Acrobat Pro X no longer allows me to create presets with different paper types. At least I haven't found it anywhere. Is this something that can be worked around or is this an "enhancement" to the new OS?
Should I just give up and go back to Snow Leopard?

Thanks a lot. Although i find it strange that every application sets this up individually. However, I did this in all Applications that I use for printing, now it works just fine.

I've already defined the paper size as 11" x 8.5 " which is the size of A4 paper. first problem is that when I open the page setup page, neither the orientation is set to landscape (I've coded :orientation := 'Landscape'; in Before Parameter Form Trigger) nor the page is displayed as A4. Although when I print the report the printer prints in Landscape mode but the report is not properly aligned. If I manually select A4 paper instead of Letter the alignment is much much better. As far as I can remember, in 6i or even 6 and 5 versions of D2K, changing these properties usually changes the settings in the page setup page.
Any Suggestions??

Where did the media type (paper type) controls go?

I am running a Mac Book Pro with OSX 10.7.3 Lion. My question pertains to color management in Photoshop CS5. Where do I put my .icc file (Pro38 WCRW) for Photoshop’s use as a media type? And where in the Photoshop CS5 print process does it give me the ability to change paper types (.icc files), etc?

How to change the paper type in printer settings?

Does anyone know how to change the paper type in printer settings? I'm trying to have the ability to change it to photo paper from Photoshop Elements. I can't find the option in printer settings or through Elements. I'm assuming I could save an additional printer setting for photo printing, but can't find how to even select a different paper type.

It would help to know which OS you are running as the answer will be different if it's Lion or the previous OS's. You are not running iOS 5.0.1 on your MacBook Pro so provide the correct information.

I have Mac os10 yosemite and with photoshop elements 13 I cannot get a menu from Print to change the type of paper. Where is that menu The one that comes up only alows for paper size not type

After clicking print the menu that comes up does not allow for a change in paper type. Where can I change the paper type. OS 10.10 Yosemite with Photoshop Elements 13. I have a windows computer with the same program and the print menu has a paper settings option but not on the the mac. What gives. Is the Elements 13 not compatible with the OS 10 Yosemite? If you delete all the Adobe Reader stuff it will probably fix this. For almost everything, the Apple pdf handling works better.

How to set the Paper TYPE?

We have HP Multifunction printers here at work, example the HP Laserjet 4345 MFP.
In Output Designer I have no problem setting the Presentment Target, almost always just set it to HP Laserjet 8000/8000N (PCL5).
My problem is that I can control the tray but I can't set the paper type.
My scenario is that the printer is defined at the printer to have Paper Type of 'Label' in Tray 2, and 'Plain' in Tray 3.
When Jetform sends the job to the printer to Tray 2 it does not print on tray 2 because the Paper Type is set to 'Label' and then gets sent to Tray 3 instead. The Jetform job in this case is a 8 1/2 x 11 label design, really intended for that Tray 2 'Label' Paper type. It's important because when you set the Paper Type as 'Label' on the printer it mechanically slows things down and changes heat from what I've been told and handles label paper better vs. the 'Plain' settings. The result is less paper jams.
So...Can anyone tell me how to pass into the job paper type? Paper Size and Input Tray, are the 2 options I see under Format Page and neither really address Paper Type.

FYI - This is printing from an HP-UX 11.23 Itanium based Unix system.

Cannot Select Paper Type in Photoshop 10

New Imac, new HP C5280, new copy of Photoshop 10 for Mac. No paper type is offered in print options, (matte, glossy, etc) in Photoshop. Hooked up my older Epson RX620, exactly the same problem, but both work in Win XP ok in Photoshop CS3. Being bounced around by tech help by HP, Adobe and Mac. All latest drivers downloaded and installed as per Tech help line instructions. No change. Anyone help?

so I've been pulling my hair out for 2 days & nights now trying to figure out why I couldnt print on custom paper sizes - I've just now hit the "help" icon in the print dialog box (so simple I didnt ever think to read through the steps set out!) and found this:
"Creating a custom page size
If you want to print on unusual size paper, such as an odd-size envelope or card, you may be able choose the paper’s size from the Paper Size pop-up menu. To find the Paper Size pop-up menu, choose File > Page Setup, if available. Otherwise, choose File > Print.
If you can’t find the size you need, you can create your own custom paper size.
To create a custom page size:
Open the document you want to print.
Choose File > Page Setup, if it’s available. Choose Page Attributes from the Settings pop-up menu, and then choose Any Printer from the Format For pop-up menu.
Choosing Any Printer ensures that your document can print on any printer that supports the paper size you select.
If Page Setup is not available, choose File > Print.
If the Print dialog contains only two pop-up menus and some buttons across the bottom, click the disclosure triangle beside the Printer pop-up menu.
Choose Manage Custom Sizes from the Paper Size pop-up menu.
Click the Add button.
Type a name for the paper size.
Enter values in the Paper Size and Printer Margins field."
All I had to change was the "any printer" setting from my (konica minolta) printers name to "Any Printer"!! now my custom paper sizes are printing fine and dandy!! phew!!!!!!!!
I know this isn't the exact prob you're having, but try the help in the print driver and follow the steps set out - it worked for me!
