Change payroll area in middle of the month

Currently I had face a problem where this staff whose is reentering the company in the middle of the month. Before this he use payroll area XX, after he reenter the company in the middle of the month, the payroll area need to be change to AA. But the system did not allow this with this error: "Payroll area change possible only at the end of the payroll period". So i was force to change the payroll area only when the date was at the end of the payroll period.
Is there any way to rectify this issue? I also being informed that there was a standard report to do this, but i could not find it,weather is it exist or not.

Is there any way to do by force, as i had been told that it could be done by using a standard program, but he could not remember it.
Is it payroll could not be running if half month payroll are is XX and other half is AA if possible to change the payroll area? Why?

If splits will be there definitely there will be two wagetypes but the amounts they'll have will be based on the rates of those periods.
Suppose an employee got payscale increase on 11th of the month, then employee will be paid at the rate of first payscale for first ten days then @ of second payscale on second 20 days.
So there won't be any inconsistency.

Issue on Changing the Payroll Area in Mid of the Month from Biweekly to Mon

Dear Experts,
I have an issue on payroll area which is changing from biweekly to monthly in Mid of the Month.
One employee was retired on 29th of March, so his payroll area was changed from biweekly to monthly on 29th. For retire we are running the payroll on 8th of every month. When we are running payroll for April he has received only 29th and 30th retire salary, by the time he is not yet retired also.
In this case the main problem is monthly payroll time is early then biweekly. so the employee is getting retire salary then his regular pay.
Can you guide me where we can control that monthly payroll area should not be triggered at this movement.

Promotion action - payroll run - not allowing to change payroll area in IT1

Hi Friends,
My client has the following query:
"One of the employee has been promoted from employee group 2 (Workmen) to employee group (Management Staff). We have run promotion action now, that is after running pay roll for the month of May 2011. Now it is not allowing to change the pay roll area in orga. assignment effective from 01.04.2011, please do the needful on priority to run pay roll for the month of May 2011."
Can anyone please help me and tell me what needs to be done in such cases.

Hi,
As you said that you have already configured ABKRS feature for defaulting payroll area based on your employee group.
So when you run the promotion action it should actually pick up the default payroll area according to new employee group.
Are you able to do that? or did you manually change it on IT 0001 screen.
If you want it to be automatically defaulted then check your feature DFINF it should have value X if you want it from customising or leave it blank if it should be copied form the previous record

Changing Payroll Areas

Hello guys: I have 8 different payroll areas with the same periodicity and same payment date.
If I change all EEs IT 0001 and use only one payroll area (the same for everybody); are there going to be any problems with the cluster?
I am planing on using as the date of change (begin date) the first day of a payroll period. I will also run this master data update after all the payrolls have been posted to FI.
Or what kind of problems could i encounter?

This should be ok, just make sure that you take care of payment/deduction that has payment model assigned, and just double check your schema there might be some rules written which might be payroll area specific.

Process Context changes (.XSD) are not refreshed in the Task Mapping

Hi,
You can manually reimport DO xsd by :
Your BPM Project > ProcessModeling > Data Types folder > XSD Files folder > Right click xsd file> Reimport.
You can manually reimport WS wsdl by :
Your BPM Project > ProcessModeling > Service Interfaces folder > WSDL Files folder > Right click wsdl file> Reimport.

Change of payroll accounting area in middle of Period

Hi ,
SAP has recommended that we should not change payroll accounting area in middle of the period .
Now we cannot change the payroll area for the period for which it has run , assuming we have Monthly payroll area from 1 March 2011 to 31 March 2011 and payroll has not run for this period , I tried changing the payroll area on 5 March 2011 to an another weekly payroll area for which the period start date was 5 march 2011 but I am getting an error in PA30 when i try to do that saying org assignment for this employee does not exist for 1 Feb 2011 and some error saying start date after initial entry . What does that mean ?
And is it possible to do what I am trying .

Hello Rishabh,
The SAP software has a restriction regarding the transfer of employees between payroll areas - this process can only be performed at the end of each payroll period, in your case on 31 March 2011. Another restriction is that a change in payroll
area cannot be made retroactively.
The payroll area is simply used to group the employees whose payroll is to be processed at the same time. It may therefore be possible to re-hire your employees into the old payroll area, then transfer them to your required payroll area at the end of the period (start of the new period).
There are two restrictions regarding the payroll area:
- A change cannot be made retroactively.
- A change can only be made at the end of a period.
However, you can do an organizational change in the middle of the period and the payroll area change at the end of the period, which means you end up with two splits in infotype 0001. The payroll area is only an organizational entity, where all employees who are to be accounted in the same payroll run are assigned to.
Again: The payroll area is only an organizational entity, where all employees who are to be accounted in the same payroll run are assigned to. I also attach the note 338256 which may be of interest to you.
Note 1291073 was done for the countries you have mention above for legal reasons and will not be extended to other countries unless there is a legal document that shows it has to be allowed for them.

Now double appearance of LTA amount is gone by assigning the spec . to Pr.Cl. - 06 .Your answer helped buddy in this egard. but a new problem is coming. system is populaating some amount with a wagetype. though it is not part of IT 0008.

BPC - Script - How to get the month of a date stored as an amount?

We have a account called "StartDate" in our database.
The user enter a date for this account: 01/07/2010
This date is then stored as 40360 in the db
We are trying to get the month number (7) out of this record.
We succeeded to write an sql query to do that:
Select Month( cast( as datetime ) )
From tblFact
Where = 'StartDate'
Any idea how to do that in a bpc script logic ?

There's no built-in support for any type of date math in BPC script logic.
One approach I've used is to add a property to the time dimension, ExcelTimeID. Then you can compare the value to your time periods, if your logic requires this type of condition.

But that doesn't solve the problem you have, where you want to know the month. I can't think of an immediate solution, other than perhaps in the original input schedule to hide a second account that submits the month number (as an integer) along with the account you have now (with the full date).
Or stick a stored proc in some logic package, scheduled to run every 10 minutes or whatever, that takes the account with the date in it, and runs your query, saving the result as the month number. Ugly in so many different ways, but it's another way to tackle the problem further upstream.
And last result is to build script logic with ridiculous hard-coding of Excel time IDs all over the place.

My trashed emails are only showing for the month of October. My settings are to never delete trashed emails, so I should have a significant number of emails in there. I do see a few random emails before October. How do I get them all to show, I need to search them for a particular email. This is a .mac email account

If secureserver.net is IMAP then all emails will by definition come back unless you dragged emails into folders residing only "On My Mac" in Apple Mail on your previous machine. If secureserver.net is POP and your mail is not coming back, the only thing that could be from is the messages being deleted from the server, esp. if they aren't showing up in web mail. It's even possible that the thieves deleted all of your messages. Check you webmail's trash bin.
Do you have a backup? Can you contact your email provider about possible data recovery? Sorry, this sounds terrible!

SAP Adhoc Query by payroll area and respective periods

Hello,
I would get an idea of how to make SAP query by having a selection screen for Payroll area and its respectve periods (respective control record). I was able to get the selection screen where I can input payroll area. But the date range for the report is a manual feed. I want something like when we select the payroll area, then I want the periods to be shown (payroll period - current period or other period). I'm new to making this SAP query. Any inupt is appreciated. Thanks.

in the adhoc query we can select the periods based on the frequency but the dates will not get default
As in the Pay roll driver the dates get defaulted based on the settings made in Control Record Status
so i dont think this is possible thru Standrad

Ok I changed my apple ID because the old one was through a old boyfriend, now I have a new one and everything changed over except now when I try to get on certain apps (mainly all) his old ID keeps popping up instead of mine.
I.e. (Instagram, Facebook, email) how does that change.

Apps are forever linked to the ID used to download them. If that is a problem t hen delete those old apps and download them again with the new ID. You can change ID in settings/it uses & App Store tap on ID And log in with new ID

Macro to Sum up Month's History to 1st Bucket of the Month

We have a requirement to Copy entire month's history to the 1st weekly bucket of the Month.
Please note that we have a SCM Calendar that defines what week belongs to which month to accommodate split weeks.
DP Macro is preferable.

Thank you for your reply. But this does not meet my requirement.
For example if there are 4 weeks in the month as per factory calendar, the data might come for W1 and W3. Our requirement is sum all the data in all 4 or 5 weeks accordingly and put in 1st bucket of the month in a different key figure.
Our SCM Calendar looks like this, example: Feb 2 falls in 2013 fiscal year and the posting period is 10 (P.10.2013). Similarly May 4 falls in P01.2014

You can do that but it is not that easy as it sounds if you have to do that over a period of say 10-20 years...lot of operational work!!
Also say if you load the retiree action one month ahead say on 03/01/2011. And the employee is retiring on 03/29.
Retire payroll is on 04/08
Biweekly is on 04/15
Now you decide to lock the employees after the 1st biweekly check of March...say which was process 14 days before 04/15 would be 04/01. The employee number is locked between 04/01 to 04/15. For 14 days you have locked these employees!!
What happens if there is adjustment pay...you have to manually go and unlock the employee and lock him after the adjustment check.
I will let you decide based on the comfort, SAP effort, Operational effort and system maintenance.

Mid month payroll area change

i am at the client site and I have been asked to change the payroll area of few employees in the system but system is not allowing me to do that.
What is the best possible solution so that i can change the payroll area so that the changes are reflected in the payroll cycle of the same month?

For this ,
You need to log in SAP system
Once you log in the system then give the TCODE PA30 ( Maintain HR DATA )
Once that screen has appier then you need to give the PERNR No for whome you need to change the Payroll Area.
Give the PERNR No.
Give the infotype 001 ( Organizational Assignment ) and click up on the change ......
Once you get Screen "Change Orgnazation Assigment" you can see the field "Payr.area" give the appropriate Payr.area and save .............
Like this you can change the Payr.area for the Personal NO
