Change Picture Background

I want to rotate XY graph.  By using Plot multi XY. vi to convert my graph to picture (image), then rotate it.  It works but I would like to change the background of picture to black or any color, instead of white.  Please help.  Thank you.
Using LV 7.1 with XPWin

That VI simply overlays the graph on an existing image, so you can create a picture with a black background (use the draw rect VI) and feed it into the picture input of the VI.

    Hi,
    CSS is interpreted by your browser, so server cache seems unlikely in htis case. There is however some hierarchy in CSS, so parts of the APEX CSS, theme CSS or page CSS might overwright or block yours.
    Does changing the CSS on runtime affect your page? Eg, run the following in your browser console and see if your page turns black: $('#uBodyContainer').css("background-color","black")
    Also try moving up your css in the hierarchy labeling it as important:
    div#uBodyContainer {
      background-color:#000000 !important;

  • Change Desktop Background - Stretch Picture

    I noted a strange thing when i right click and select Change Desktop Background, i once noted the option of whether to Stretch the picture. But now it is gone.
    Does anyone know how do i enable it?

    The option is only offered when it is actually needed, most likely your images don't need stretching.

    You are still under warranty.  Call Apple tech support and let them deal w/it.
    You have 14 days to return the computer w/no questions asked.  Plus you have 90 days of FREE phone tech support on top of your standard 1 year warranty unless you also purchased AppleCare which gives you an additional 2 years of coverage plus FREE phone support.
    Strongly suggest that you take FULL advantage of the above before it runs out.  Let Apple deal w/the problems.

  • HT1338 whenever I access my screen saver my computer freezes. Trying to change my background picture.

    Hey, I am trying to change my background picture but everytime I try my computer freezes.What do I need to do, help.
    Thanks in advance!

    I just did a little test and changed something in my Screen Saver settings and looked to see what changed (just had a Finder window open in my ~/Library/Preferences and had the "Date Modified" column selected so that the most recent change would appear at the top) and noticed that the file called com.apple.screensaver.xxxx.plist file changed (the xxxx is a hex number that is part of your UUID, or perhaps the whole UUID, as have seen it both ways). This screensaver preferences file is located in ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost which makes sense, as every user would need their own set of screen saver preferences on each host.
    Looking at this file in TextWrangler it looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    <key>askForPassword</key>
    <integer>0</integer>
    <key>idleTime</key>
    <integer>300</integer>
    <key>lastNonRandomModuleName</key>
    <string>Flurry</string>
    <key>moduleName</key>
    <string>Flurry</string>
    <key>modulePath</key>
    <string>/System/Library/Screen Savers/Flurry.saver</string>
    <key>tokenRemovalAction</key>
    <integer>0</integer>
    </dict>
    </plist>
    Hope that helps.
    One thing I did have a question about is how to find the UUID. On a Mac Pro system the command:
    system_profiler | grep -i uuid
    returned the expected number that was part of the com.apple.screensaver.xxxx.plist file, but this did not work on a MacBook Pro. No luck trying to find out why so far. Anyone have any ideas? There is also a UUID associated with a disk volume, that appears to have nothing to do with the UUID associated with the system. So the UUID I'm talking about here is for the system, not a disk.

  • Can't change my background picture

    I'd just like to say thank you for your help if you ever do check this out.
    My friends, as a prank, changed my background picture to some random photos I had on my Macbook. However, I've been unable as of yet to actually revert it back. Though they only changed one background, none of my desktops can have their background changed. Also, none of the methods I know actually work - going to System Preferences and manually changing it from there doesn't work, nor does simply clicking a photo and choosing the option to 'set as background picture'.
    Many thanks.

    You can't go to System Preferences>Desktop&Screen Savers and change the display? Try it and see. I've never seen that problem.

    You have to enter the Apple ID and password. You are running into the Activation Lock
    iCloud: Find My iPhone Activation Lock in iOS 7
    Is there a way to find my Apple ID Name if I can't remember it?
    Yes. Visit My Apple ID and click Find your Apple ID. See Finding your Apple ID if you'd like more information.
    How do I change or recover a forgotten Apple ID Password?
    If you've forgotten your Apple ID Password or want to change it, go to My Apple ID and follow the instructions. SeeChanging your Apple ID password if you'd like more information.

  • How do I change the background picture format along the top of the page?

    at one time, I was given the opportunity at log on to Firefox to choose a picture background that appears at the top. I would like to change it and cannot find a menu item to take me to that option.

    It's called a Persona. Go here: http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/gallery/All/Popular/23
    To narrow the field down a bit, choose a category in the menu on the left.
    If you have a few already, click the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Appearance menu.

  • How to change desktop background in AppleScript in 10.7?

    I'm just now upgrading from 10.6 to 10.7, and I'm having trouble with a script that I wrote that worked fine under 10.6.  In part, it executes the following command:
         osascript -e "tell application \"Finder\" to set destop picture to POSIX file \"<path>\""
    to change the desktop background image to one of two different files based on other conditions.
    In 10.7, this command completes with no error code, but it only changes the background of one of my four desktops.  Is there a way to programmatically change the background image of all of my desktops simultaneously?  Failing that, is there a way to a) find out how many desktops I have and b) loop through them, setting each of their backgrounds in turn?
    I did search the web and found the following suggestion:
         osascript -e "tell application \"System Events\" to set picture of every desktop to \"<path>\""
    Unfortunately, that also changes only the current desktop's picture.
    The larger script is in Perl, so I'd prefer a technology that works well with that language, but if I have to change to a different scripting language, that's not the end of the world.
    Thanks much for any suggestions!
    Richard

    Actually, “repeat with k from 18 to (18 + N - 1)” was not a good idea, since it works only with N < 5, as I discovered after posting the script.
    So here's an improved version of the previous script that should work with any number of desktops:
    set theFile to POSIX file "/Library/Desktop Pictures/Isles.jpg" -- just an example
    -- Find out how many desktops you have:
    tell application "System Preferences"
        reveal anchor "shortcutsTab" of pane id "com.apple.preference.keyboard"
        tell application "System Events" to tell window "Keyboard" of process "System Preferences"
            set N to count (UI elements of rows of outline 1 of scroll area 2 of splitter group 1 of tab group 1 whose name begins with "Switch to Desktop")
        end tell
        quit
    end tell
    -- Loop through the desktops, setting each of their backgrounds in turn:
    tell application "System Events" to key code 18 using {control down} -- Desktop 1
    tell application "Finder" to set desktop picture to theFile
    repeat (N - 1) times
        delay 1
        tell application "System Events" to key code 124 using {control down} -- ⌘→
        delay 1
        tell application "Finder" to set desktop picture to theFile
    end repeat

  • HT2478 how do you make the setting to change desktop background every time you shut down your mac

    how to make setting to change desktop background every time you close your mac
    because i want to make it if anybody tries to change my dekstop picture i want it to go backto set desktop picture

    Don't let other people access your Mac in admin mode - they might change something a lot more important than the Desktop picture.
    However you can use Automator: create an Application in it, and select 'Set the Desktop Picture' from the Library. Choose the picture you want. Save the application, then go to System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items and select the Automator application you just created. This will then run at startup and set your chosen picture.

  • Can I change the background on each page of the iPad?

    I know how to set home screen and lock screen, but was wondering if there is a way to change the background to each page on the iPad. I am a teacher and would like each page to have a background set to a specific picture or word so my students know which page they use on a particular day. Is this possible? If so, can someone walk me through it?

    No - you can only have one background picture which applies to all homescreens

  • How Do I Change the Background Color in Keynote?

    Hello! I am trying to change the background color in Keynote, I can see where I should be able to do this, however my computer does not let me. If I change the template (in the Fun template from the standard to the horizontal picture) it will let me change it only in the box rather than the entire template. I really want to keep the style, just not the orange color. Thanks!

    Ruth, the background in Fun is an image, not just a colour. For the templates without photo cutouts, you will need to select the template, go into the Inspector, choose Slide, select the Appearance tab, and then in the background section you can change the image. If you just want to change the colour, you can choose Tinted Image Fill in the dropdown menu, then click the colour box to control the tint.
    Unfortunately, changing the Photo template is much more difficult, since the "background" image is actually a cutout placed on the slide above the actual background. As far as I know, changing this image will require access to fairly sophisticated graphics programs, such as Photoshop. However, if you are using Keynote 3, an alternative would be to create an image mask that is similar in shape to the cutout, as this would produce the same effect (cutouts are not nearly as vital now that images can be masked to a shape).

  • Wallpaper not showing up in "Change Desktop Background" window

    I just noticed an odd issue today on my Mac Pro. When browsing the built-in wallpaper folders (Nature, Plants, etc) in the Change Desktop Background window they are empty. My "Pictures Folder" one shows all the images correctly as well as browsing the ones from iPhoto. (I also have Aperture 2.1.2 installed but no projects yet so that part is empty.)
    I performed a permissions repair, checked that the actual files were there in /Library and removed the com.apple.desktop.plist pref's file. After doing that all the pictures showed up again UNTIL I browsed around the picture folders in the Change Desktop Background window then they stopped showing again.
    Could something in my Pictures Folder be causing the issue? Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    -Jim

    Thanks for clarifying. I don't do right or left click, but occasionally do CONTROL-click and doing that brings up the contextual menu item "change desktop background" which leads to the Desktop prefPane. Now, why you're having issues, I have no idea. However, I suggest creating a new admin user account, logging into it, and seeing if changing the desktop picture works there.

  • In Yosemite, How do I change the background color of menu bar, dock and sidebar?

    Right now my background for the Menu Bar, Dock, etc is RED.  I'd like to change it to something more subtle.
    Anyone know how?
    Does it relate to the desktop picture I have?  or ???

    You can change the background display color in the playback preferences, either black, white, or checkerboard. This does not change the output color. If you want to add a color to the video, you have to place a custom generator underneath your video and change the color in the inspector.
