  • Change pointer image on an interactive slide?

    Running cp8 on Windows 8.
    I know how to change the mouse pointer image when doing a software sim.
    But how do I (or can I) change the pointer that is used by the learner when they are interacting on a slide? Are we stuck with only the arrow unless they are over an object with hand-mouse on it?
    Thanks,

    Depends how far you want to go.  With the Custom Cursor widget you can change it into anything you want.

  • Problem to change account image when firmware password is enabled.

    Someone else is having trouble to change the user account image when the firmware password is enabled on a Macbook Pro mid-2009 with OS X 10.7.2 and 10.7.3?

    Yep, another one of those 10 million threads on WiFi...
    I have a feeling you are using WEP encryption. You can either stick with this, or if your router allows it, switch to the better, more secure encryption methods WPA or WPA2.
    The touch with WEP encryption is a little finicky. To get it to work reliably, I suggest you do the following:
    1. set your encryption level to 128 bit.
    2. enter your password into the router and write down the resulting hex key
    3. on your touch, tap on the blue > next to the network name and then tap on Forget Network
    4. tap on Other Network, enter your network name, tap on security settings and make sure you have WEP checked off
    5. on the Enter your Password screen, type in your hex key
    6. you should be connected to your network. Tap the blue > again to make sure you have an IP address other than 169.x.x.x.
    Or, setup WPA or WPA2 encryption (select the PSK, personal, serverless edition on your router) and choose a suitably complex 8 character or more password. You can include capitals, special characters, and numbers. You can then use this password with all of your other wireless devices.

  • How do I change email client when clicking mailto links?

    I have reformatted my computer about 1 month ago. Everything almost as I had it before. Just 1 thing that is bugging me.
    '''My email client is IncrediMail'''. When clicking mailto links in Internet Explorer, my IncrediMail opens as it should do, but in Firefox (which is my preferred default web browser) it opens another tab, wanting me to sign in to GMail to compose my mail.
    I do have GMail accounts, '''BUT''' I want Firefox to open up my IncrediMail to compose my emails, just like it did before my reformat.
    Any ideas would be gratefully received ;)

    To make Firefox use Incredimail for mailto links, do the following.
    1. find the path to Incredimail on my Windows 7 machine it's:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\IncrediMail\Bin\IncMail.exe" (you can find this by right clicking on the desktop Incredimail Icon and selecting Properties. Copy this address))
    2. Type about:config into your Firefox location bar and hit enter. If you've never edited used about:config before, you'll see a warning.
    3. Click "I'll be careful, I promise!" This will bring you to the about:config window.
    4. In the filter field type "gecko". Find the entry gecko.handlerService.schemes.mailto.0.name;
    5. Right click and select Modify.
    6. Paste or type the Incredimail path in the field provided "C:\Program Files (x86)\IncrediMail\Bin\IncMail.exe" (the qoutes are required)
    7. Make sure that network.protocol-handler.external.mailto; is set to true.
    That worked for me after many hours of searching and finding answers posted by individuals who wanted to help but didn't have a clue.

  • Anyone see changes in images when making a web gallery through Adobe Bridge cs4??? Please Help!

    When creating web galleries through adobe bridge CS4 the final gallery images become very orange.....
    Not even comparable to what we are  seeing in Bridge or Photoshop CS4....
    Adobe tells me that this is happening because of the conversion for web use.
    We are just noticing this change now and feel that there is a problem somewhere.....
    Has anyone else seen this issue or now anything to do to get it fixed???
    It's really annoying, Please Help!!!

    You probably want to ask this in the Bridge forum. From what I know, Bridge converts the profile to sRGB which helps avoids big color shifts if you view the images in an uncolormanaged web browser. This may change the appearance slightly, but there shouldn't be a huge shift.

    i prefer only to show the "hand/pointer" when you mouse over the link.
    is there a way to:

  • Can I Change How The Pointer Appears Over A Link?

    Is there a way to change my pointer so that it doesn't change to the little pointer finger when it goes over a link? I have a larger pointer and it shrinks back down to the teeny hand when I'm on the web. It drives me nuts.
    Also, I'm still using 10.3.9, but I was hoping there was some way for me to change it. Is there a preference pain or something?
    Thanks!

    In Tiger, the Universal preference panel>Mouse - at the bottom - "difficulty in seeing a mouse" gives the option of making the pointer larger. When I tried it, i.e. move the slider to the right, the pointer did not reduce in size when I moved over a link in Safari. Not sure if the same feature is offered in Panther.
    Hope this helps.

  • In WebHelp, when I mouse over a link, the font size changes.

    Either after I generate to WebHelp or View in RoboHelp, when I mouse over a hyperlink text, the font changes from large to small text. My step is a 11pt font, my body text is 10pt. It appears the 11 pt. font switches to 10pt font when I mouse over it. Any way to fix this?
    Also noticed that when I have a note at 9 pt, and mouse over a link, the text changes to 10pt.
    So now it appears in most of my topics with links within a step or note. In a body, the text appears fine (or stays the same) when you mouse over a link.

    Not believing that either.
    You should be able to edit your CSS in a text editor. If you are not sure what to do, set up a simple project using your CSS. Any text will do and create a link.

  • How to hide the Alt description when you hover over your links?

    I was told that you have to have a description for images, links just about everything. But when I preview my website and hover over the links, a yellow box appears with the description of the images. How do I hide this?

    You are previewing with an old (very old?) version of IE, which is the only browser on earth that does what you describe.  All other browsers play by the rules and leave the alt attribute values alone (which is what they should do).
    You can choose to ignore this, or 'kill' it by adding a title attribute that is empty, e.g.,
    <img alt="foo" title=""...
    By the way, you add alt attributes to images for accessibility reasons.  People who browse with images turned off (and there are some) or people who use screen assistive devices (screenreaders) need some indication that there is an image at the point where they are looking/reading.  Consequently, you would only want to add content to these alt attributes where it's important to the message of the page (i.e., a cosmetic-only image would just have an empty alt attribute value). And you only need these for images, not for any other page element....

  • Oracle XSQL Servlet Parse Error when anchoring a link to an image

    I have a database of document links that I wish to portray in a table as graphic images. In other words, each image is a hypertext link to the document.
    From my HTML 101 I used to do this as follows:
    <IMG SRC="image.gif">
    Note, no </IMG> end tag, but this produces an image that I can click to access that document. Lousy form, but it works.
    When I run my XSL with corresponding XSQL file to create the HTML file I get the following Servlet Parse Error:
    Oracle XSQL Servlet Page Processor 1.0.1.0 (Production)
    XSQL-006: XSLT stylesheet is not well-formed: ucmDatabase3.xsl
    XML parse error at line 66, char 15
    End tag does not match start tag 'img'
    I then added the </IMG> end tag,
    <IMG SRC="image.gif"> </IMG>
    which satisfies the parser, but now I get my graphic image AND the underlined linked text together in the same table cell, which SUCKS...
    Is there a way around this madness?
    Thanks for your comments..

    Remember that an XSLT stylesheet is, in particular, a well-formed XML document. In a well-formed XML document, you
    cannot have an unterminated element like:
      <foo>
        <bar>  <!-- This elemenent is not closed correctly -->
      </foo>So, in your example, you're running into the problem with
    your <IMG> tag, since you have:
      <A>
        <IMG src="...">  <!-- This elt is not closed correctly -->
      </A>You just need to close the IMG tag by changing the closing > to /> instead, like this:
      <A>
        <IMG src="..."/>  <!-- This elt *IS* closed correctly -->
      </A>When it's written out to the browser, you'll see that the
    trailing slash will be removed, so the browser will be
    happy, too.

    I would suggest a new feature:The possibilty  to change the mouse pointer icon when you hover on an active link by any other one icon I select.

    Current Firefox versions have a feature called tear-off tabs.<br />
    You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.<br />
    You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.

  • Change image when form dropdown list value is selected

    I really thought this would be simpler but I just can't get it working.
    I have a submit from from paypal with a dropdown list. The list allows you to select color. I want to change an image on the page to display the appropriate color when the color is selected from the drop down list. So a black image shows up when black is selected, a red when red - etc...
    I would be very grateful if someone can share some succinct, browser compatible code. Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

    Thanks so much.  I used your info from above and am in the process of creating a product configurator for our products.  Do you see any problems/issues etc or ways to make this script better?  I don't have most of the images there yet, but if you choose big boy chair and then choose navy/powder/black fabric and most accent colors you should see it working (in FireFox anyway).  Not sure why it isn't working in IE.  Any ideas?

  • Show image when cursor hovers over image

    I would like to have the "i" image used to flip to the information screen be hidden or invisible unless the user hovers over the image, where I want the image to be visible and active after a second or two delay. This will allow a click or touch in the image area without activating the screen change.
    I've seen one or two iPhone apps which appear to do this, only showing the image when it is activated and otherwise the normal program image is visible and active. So, I know that it is possible. I'm just too new to objective C and the iphone SDK to know how to do it myself just yet.
    The standard utility app template which comes with the flipView controller and the "i" in the mainView appears to be always on. I'm sure there is a way to use view.hidden to hide and show it, but am not sure how to detect a hover then a touch, rather than just a touch.
    Any examples showing this would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Some progress on this, but still working on it. I attempted to take the Utility Application template, and then add a subview to draw the layer with my own images. Somehow I don't seem to be able to get my new drawing to display. Instead I get a completely black view which also obscures the original view loaded from the nib.
    Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
    First, I take a blank Utility Application template, which shows the dark gray screen with the little information icon in the lower right corner.
    Next, add 2 class files which (1. Scenes.m) defines my sceneFiles and scenes structure which reads in my sceneFile.plist data into a dictionary structure so I can design my own layouts, and (2. Pieces.m) defines my board pieces, translation tables, and an image dictionary currently composed of PNG images read from individual files.
    Next, add code to MainViewController.m to initialize my view:
    @implementation MainViewController
    - (id)initWithNibName:(NSString *)nibNameOrNil bundle:(NSBundle *)nibBundleOrNil {
    if (self = [super initWithNibName:nibNameOrNil bundle:nibBundleOrNil]) {
    // Custom initialization
    return self;
    - (void)viewDidLoad {
    UIView* mainView = [[MainView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 480, 320)];
    [self.view addSubview:mainView];
    [mainView release];
    Now, in MainView.m I draw my view:
    - (id)initWithFrame:(CGRect)frame {
    if (self = [super initWithFrame:frame]) {
    // Initialization code
    myPieces = [[Pieces alloc] init]; // setup piece images and index tables
    myScenes = [[Scenes alloc] init]; // read in scene file(s)
    sceneIndex = 0;
    currentSceneKey = [myScenes.sceneKeys objectAtIndex:sceneIndex];
    // begin drawing
    NSDictionary* myScene = [myScenes.scenes objectForKey:currentSceneKey];
    if (myScene) {
    NSString* sceneTitle = [myScene objectForKey:@"Title"];
    NSString* sceneTableau = [myScene objectForKey:@"Tableau"];
    for (int i=0; i<boardWidth; i++) {
    for (int j=0; j<boardHeight; j++) {
    NSRange myRange=NSMakeRange(((jboardWidth)+i)3,2);
    NSString* imgKey = [sceneTableau substringWithRange:myRange];
    NSString* newKey = [myPieces.backgrounds objectForKey:imgKey];
    UIImage* img=[myPieces.figures objectForKey:newKey]; // get image
    [img drawAtPoint:CGPointMake(i*cellSize, j*cellSize)];
    UIImage* title = [UIImage imageNamed:sceneTitle];
    [title drawAtPoint:CGPointMake(0,288)];
    [title release];
    } // if myScene
    // end drawing
    return self;
    Initially, the code between the "begin drawing" and "end drawing" was in the "drawRect" method, but it didn't seem to be doing anything, so I moved it to test it, and there was no apparent difference. I did put NSLog statements in drawRect and initWithFrame, and the code is being called. My images just aren't displaying.
    FYI
    // Scenes.h
    #import <Foundation/Foundation.h>
    #define boardWidth 15
    #define boardHeight 9
    #define cellSize 32
    @interface Scenes : NSObject {
    NSMutableArray* sceneFiles;
    NSMutableDictionary* scenes;
    NSMutableArray* sceneKeys;
    -(id)init;
    @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray* sceneFiles;
    @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableDictionary* scenes;
    @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray* sceneKeys;
    @end
    // Pieces.h
    #import <Foundation/Foundation.h>
    @interface Pieces : NSObject {
    NSMutableDictionary* figures;
    NSMutableDictionary* actions;
    NSMutableDictionary* backgrounds;
    NSMutableDictionary* foregrounds;
    -(id)init;
    @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableDictionary* figures;
    @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableDictionary* actions;
    @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableDictionary* backgrounds;
    @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableDictionary* foregrounds;
    @end
    I know that the initialization of the arrays and dictionaries in Scenes and Pieces is working correctly as well placed NSLog statements in the init routines display the proper text. The code is working in an OpenGLES template that was a hodgepodge of test cases, and now I'm trying to put the pieces together in a preperly designed project, and I'm getting a black sceen.
    The other project has a "myContext" variable, but as it was copied from some example code, I'm not sure how it is actually used, as most places the sample code was setting it to nil, and only one place at the beginning of drawRect, it was set to " UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext()". I've tried my code both with this and without it, and there does not appear to be any difference.

  • Why can I not see the URL display when I mouse over a link?

    When I mouse over a link the URL does not display at the bottom anymore and I cannot figure out how to make it display so that I know where I'm going before clicking. I only just recently noticed this happening and am not sure what changed.
