Change primary account ID

I want to delete my primary account and change it to a new account that I have created. Our old account gets too much spam daily that is getting through the filters and I am deleting up to 30 plus emails daily. How can I do this?

Anytime I have heard anyone want this, they are forced to disconnect their account, and then install it again. It's seemless, no tech needed. but seems like a PITA to do.
If I remember correctly, it's an all or nothing, and it kills your sub accounts too, because if you bring your sub's back it brings back the primary, and then what is the point?

Sorry, but I'm going to question this again. The only way a BTinternet user can have a flickr pro account is by the association with their Broadband email address (either primary or sub account). Using any other email address (e.g. payg) will get the user a very limited Flickr account.
Unless the primary email address already in use by Stuart is converted to a sub account, then it is likely to cause problems and effectively stop them being a pro user.
The link you quoted has nothing to do with altering the user's Flickr status which is actually in question here.
Now - I am not saying that you are wrong, to me it just doesn't add up with the info I am aware about with regard Flickr pro accounts.

Change primary account

I have an iMac and a MacBook,... how do I tell the MacBook that my primary account from my iMac in address book should also be the primary account on my MacBook,... now it has a separate account. Which is unfortunate as a lot of my apps use the addressbook for info and sync,... so now I have two of me,... which is one to many,...

I'm afraid I'm not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean that you have a user called say Ramon on both machines and you want them to access the same data? If that's the case, then you have two alternatives that you could consider. One is to hold the data on one machine and access it from the other over a network the other is to synchronise the two machines. How frequently you would need to do that would depend on how frequently your data alters.

How to change iCloud primary account without deleting ical entries on existing primary account?

Hi, I've got a bit confused and befuddled with my icloud account(s), as I had a MobileMe account before icloud and an itunes / Apple account. On my iphone and ipad, I've set up icloud on my itunes / Apple account details, which means I have a photo stream that works between these two devices. I also have something silly like 7 ical calendars on my iphone / ipad; two on an icloud account under the same log-in as my itunes, one on my gmail email account (which is the email account that is also my itunes / Apple account name) and four on a @me.com account I acquired from the old MobileMe days. Although not perfect, it's worked ok for a while, until I wanted to move photos from iphoto on my mac to my photo stream, and realised I had two photo stream accounts, and the one linked to my mac wouldn't enable photos to be seen on my iphone or ipad.
So I read a lot of stuff on here and decided I needed to change my primary icloud on my mac, ensuring it was my itunes account rather than my icloud account. I did this last night and all the diary entries in my mac ical disappeared. I then went back and deleted the itunes account details as my primary account and reinstalled the icloud details. On doing this, I realised I only have four calendars in my mac ical - and these are all on my @me.com account, none of the gmail calendars appear.
What I'd like to do, if possible, is migrate all my @me.com calendars and photo stream into one icloud account, using my itunes log-in details. This will, hopefully, mean I can cut down on the number of calendars on my iphone and ipads, ensure everything synchs across the mobile devices and my mac, and ensure I can use photo stream across all three. Can anyone suggest how I can do this please?

When you delete an iCloud account from a device, that has no effect on the iCloud accounts on other devices or the content in that iCloud account. You are just deleting that account from that particular device.
Her content will still be in iCloud.

Try going to Settings>Notifications>Mail, tap your primary account, then tap New Mail Sound and set as desired.

To change a secondary account you have to delete/sign out of both accounts. After doing so, you can sign back in with the secondary account ID in System Preferences>iCloud and it will become the primary account. To delete an account from System Preferences>Internet Accounts, select it on the left sidebar, then click the "-" icon at the bottom to delete it.

Hi, could anyone give me any advice how to change please, i have phoned up twice to get rid completely of my primary account and get it replaced with my sub account but it still has not happened. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Changing iCloud primary account on iPad 2

I'm trying to change my primary iCloud account on my iPad, I have read previous directions that say to just hit the delete button in settings etc, however my primary account doesn't have a delete option :( ???

You'll find your primary account at settings > iCloud, the delete button can be seen at the bottom of the page by scrolling down.

How does one change the primary iCloud account on a desktop Mac. I have changed the appleID of the primary user successfully, but there seems to be no way to change the primary iCloud account.

Simply:
1.     back up Calendar and Address book if you haven't recently
2.     open System Prefs on your desktop Mac
3.     open iCloud
4.     on the left side, click SIGN OUT
5.     say yes to the three alerts (it will delete your calendar and address book info, which will be restored once you sign in again.
6.     sign in again using the primary account you want

Primary account change

Im not able to nor ever have been able to acces my primary account since i created it. its not even recognised on the BT sites. I think its because when i created the account i thought i had to create the password instead of using one i should have been given which i wasnt. is it possible to get this changed please.

bt phoned me and gave me a password for my primary account and said it could be used for the site www.btinternet.com but the site has no record of that user name, im having trouble with the usage meter and i really need to access my primary account. thank you

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

If you mean you are trying to change the primary email account associated with your iCloud ID, you do that as explained here: Change your Apple ID. Before doing this, be sure to turn off Find My iDevice on all your iOS devices, and Find My Mac on your Mac. Then you can change the ID as desired. After changing it, you will have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out, then sign back in with the changed ID, then turn Find My iDevice back on. On a Mac, you would need to go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out, then sign back in with the changed ID and re-enable Find My Mac.

Change of primary account holder information

The primary account owner of the family plan I am in died and I'm just wondering if it's possible to take over the account but not change anything to my current plan. I just want the account to be under my name but remain the same as it is

It really depends on what plan you had before and how many lines you'll have after the AOL.

I have a very similar problem. I cannot set up my email on a new device because I haven't got the password and one of the security questions expects an answer which doesn't correspond to whaqt it should be. My husband is now incapacitated and he is the primary account holder. I am told I have to close the account and start a new one and I don't feel up to doing that.
How can you help?
