    Currently you cannot change the primary admin on a CCT membership. As a workaround, follow these steps:
    Cancel the existing team membership: You can cancel the membership without any penalty. The accounts for team members change to trial mode. Members can still access their saved data in the cloud storage. To cancel the membership, click theChat Now button at the bottom of this page to initiate chat with a live agent.
    Buy a new team membership; use the Adobe ID for the new primary admin.
    Reinvite team members using the new primary admin account.
    The team members have to accept the invitation and log in to the Creative Cloud Desktop app again. Their apps are activated under the new team account.

    adobe forums, only to discover Adobe doesn't allow a primary admin to ever leave. This is rather silly as people leave workplaces, they don't stay for life. An answer in a different forum on this site said one must cancel their adobe account, then start a new one. Though... Adobe doesn't allow a person to cancel their adobe account. It all must be done via Adobe customer service, which has proved non existent. There is no email address to email a request, there is a chat option which claims 24/7 chat however this functionality doesn't seem to work on my new Lenovo computer, current IE explorer running Windows 8.
    Adobe - you really need to sort this out. I have left the work place where I was the Team Administrator some months ago now and now I need to be removed from that workplace account completely. Currently, I still have full access to it, which is not good from a security point of view because if I were a disgruntled ex-employee I could play havoc with my workplaces subscription and access their confidential files stored in the cloud.
    Looking through the Forum, there is a great deal of conversation on this exact point. I'd suggest you answer this one, then create a sticky so people don't keep creating new threads and then see about resolving the issue so that Primary Admins can change in future, and be removed when they leave the workplace.

    log in as your current system administrator and open the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences. If the padlock in the lower-left corner is locked, click on it to unlock it. Click on the “+” button above the padlock to create a new user; set the “New Account” dropdown to “Administrator”. Provide the missing text box information, and press the Create User button. After the new administrative user has been created, exit System Preferences, log out, and log in as the new system adminstrator. Open the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences again, select your old administrative user, select its Password tab, and uncheck its “Allow user to administer this computer” checkbox. Relock the padlock if desired, and exit System Preferences.

    I hope you must have also tried different browsers like Archcentury, which is first step towards resolution, next you can trying deleting the cookies & browsing history.

  • "Unknown error has occurred" when changing primary email for Apple ID

    It tells me the primary email I'm changing it to, is available and everything, but when I click "save changes" it sends me back to the Apple ID log in page and gives me the message "An unknown error has occurred".
    How can it be Unknown? How can I fix it? I wish I could ask Apple directly, but I live in a country where I don't think it possible to call them. I've searched and there seems to be no way to contact them through email or something.
    What can I do?? This is very stressful.

    I used the following command to add a new user
    # sudo useradd -m -g users -G audio,lp,optical,storage,video,wheel,games,power,scanner -s /bin/bash mel
    I think did
    #cat /etc/group
    and everything looked like it should apart from the user mel was not on the users group line
    e.g.
    storage:x:95:john,mel
    scanner:x:96:john,mel
    power:x:98:john,mel
    nobody:x:99:
    users:x:100:john
    so I tried
    # sudo usermod -g users mel
    still no effect
    is this normal?

    If the CC for team is an indirect purchase i.e through a re seller,then you can contact Adobe Support to change the primary Admin.
    If the purchase of the CC for Team is from Adobe store directly, in such purchases the primary Admin can not be changed however secondary admin can be added.
    There are certain privileges attached to the primary admin console like billing information.
    You can cancel this CC & repurchase new CC for Team with the desired Primary Admin. The members just have to unassigned from their seat & then on fresh purchase , they have to send invite again.
    The users just have to sign out & sign back in once they accept the new CCT order invite.

    I can't find a place to reset the password for a Creative Cloud team member who is no longer employed by us.  Can I reset the password as administrator? 

    I have an open workstation with multiple people using it, and one of them has left.  I don’t want to start over but I want to change the password so only current employees can use that seat.  Suggestions?

  • Primary Administrator changed - does this affect 'shared secret'

    Very recently I had my Apple ID set to be the Primary Admin for our iTunesU site. When I login directly using my AppleID everything just works. I can see all the Admin interface links and make changes. However our University also has an iTunesU login page where we use a transfer script and assign roles and pass credentials to iTunesU, and as of today when I tried using that login page NONE of the credentials get passed. It more or less will authenticate and everyone gets the default role of 'guest' access. Is it possible that our shared secret changed when I had my AppleID re-set?
    The way it was done was I was sent an email to Activate our iTunesU site, does Activating or Re-Activating an iTunesU site affect the 'shared secret' for the iTunesU site?

    Resetting the site does not change the share secret. To check this you can log into your private site as the primary Apple ID administrator and under "Edit Site Settings" the current transfer script information is listed. This information is only displayed for the primary Apple ID administrator. Compare this information to the information contained within the transfer script.
