Change primary skype email

Hello, I will be switching ISP in the near future and wan't to change my primary email. Is this possible? The old email thats now the primary email on my account will deactivate in a month after switching ISP. If it's possible, please explain me how to do it. If not, then I might aswell just make a whole new account. I really prefer not doing that. It's weird that you can't delete an account but it's even more weird if you can't change your primary mail. And no, I won't be adding other email adresses to this account if thats the only way.

My email notifications from Skype are received in Spanish, apparently because I live in a Spanish-speaking country (Panama). Since I do not speak nor read Spanish, it would be greatly appreciated if these notifications could instead come in English. My account is set up with English as the language and Skype works just fine that way. The problem is that whenever I receive a notice via email from Skype, it is in Spanish. Is there a way to change that?

I will try writing Customer Service, thanks for the idea. I'd like to reply to the following message which came to my email address, but has yet to show up here, to say that there does not appear to be any option regarding "language" in the Subscriptions & Bookmarks section.

Is it possible to take a newly created sub account and make it the primary account email address? If so would this carry over to other linked services (ie Flickr) so I could delete the original primary email address

Sorry, but I'm going to question this again. The only way a BTinternet user can have a flickr pro account is by the association with their Broadband email address (either primary or sub account). Using any other email address (e.g. payg) will get the user a very limited Flickr account.
Unless the primary email address already in use by Stuart is converted to a sub account, then it is likely to cause problems and effectively stop them being a pro user.
The link you quoted has nothing to do with altering the user's Flickr status which is actually in question here.
Now - I am not saying that you are wrong, to me it just doesn't add up with the info I am aware about with regard Flickr pro accounts.

Changing my skype email address

When i try to add another email on skype, it won't save it? I can't try to change my email either. Is this a bug or is there a way to fix this problem?

Assuming that you already tried loggin in using your original username and password, just open the link below to report your hacked/stolen account. Changing primary .mac email address on my Apple ID

Hi,
I have very weird situation.
I have [email protected] and [email protected]
I believe both of the emails became somehow linked when moving from .mac to mobile me and then to iCloud.
And what's even more weird is that when I log in to appleid.apple.com it shows me that my appleID and primary email address is [email protected] Regardless if I login as [email protected] or [email protected]
The problem is that [email protected] is not working. It's totally dead. Mail server responds

How can I change the primary email address to [email protected]
How can I get rid of this @mac address?!
I want to forget it, I don't need it.

It says that I need to click "Edit next to your Apple ID".
But I simply don't have any 'Edit' button there.
And the worse thing is that all notifications are sent to [email protected]..
Purchases in iTS and etc...
And I am not getting them!

In few words:
1. go to store.apple.com and make sure that the country selected is your country (store.apple.com/ca for me);
2. click on the 'account' button there (top right corner);
3. log in;
4. go to account home page;
5. click on 'change default billing and shipment' link;
6. update your email address in billing info pane;
7. profit!
Now when I go to appleid.apple.com it shows that my apple id is still [email protected] (Gosh!), but primary email is [email protected] Voila!

By not real do you mean not a valid email address of an email address you no longer have access too? You should try an validate your account with the CS team from here:

I am automatically logged in to Skype on my iPad however I don't remember the password (it is saved automatically and every time I turn on my iPad it automatically logs me into skype)
The problem is I forgot the password. And I don't have access to the email address associated with the account.
How can I change my primary email address using the Skype app?

please also be advised that you may be asked to provide verification details or answer verification questions before Skype can proceed in assisting you resetting your account password. Then after you regain access to your account, you can change your registered email address to your preferred one.

Skype email address changed and fraud transaction ...

Hi,
I am a member of skype with the profile name 'anoopsaha'. Yesterday, someone changed my registered email address on skype from <my_email_id>@gmail.com to <my_email_id>@gmail.com.tw. Furthermore, they also charged US $30 on my credit card. In addition, they have created a new account with my email address and the name of 'anoopsha', making sure that I cannot reach my original account.
Skype was my primary tool for business communication and I have lost all my contacts. Is there any solution to this problem?

Change Primary email address, delete Microsoft acc...

I have a stupid Microsoft account which I never wanted in the first place but somehow was forced into it with my new Windows 8 laptop. I want to get rid of this email address. But first I need to remove all accounts associated with it. SO...I would like to change the primary email on my Skype. I managed to add a second email. Done. But whenever I try to change it to the primary, it says 'ooops that's not correct even though it is. I read on another thread that if you sign into Skype with a Microsoft account, you can never change it. Is this true? And if so, if I delete my whole Microsoft account somehow, will that delete my Skype? Thanks in advance for your help.
P.S. If anyone knows how to contact a Skype official I would much appreciate it.

Sorry you've had a bit of trouble getting this sorted out. It can be done easily enough.
I have had a look through our email system and can't see anything there from the address you registered on the forums with.

How can I change Primary Email Address to icloud email?

I have an apple id been using for many years. I would like to change the primary email address. I would like to create a new icloud email address and use that as primary email for my apple id.
When I try to do this in the Manage Apple ID it says that I cannot pick an email address associate with apple domain.
How do I do this???
Essentially I would like to start over with an icloud email address but keep all my existing itunes purchases etc. If I create a new Apple ID with icloud email id I am hosed and cannot copy over my purchases. If I stay with existing Apple ID, I can change primary email address but I can't use icloud email.
Any suggestions??

While you can't currently change your Apple ID to a Mobile/iCloud email address, I found a solution that helps with a related problem.
Suppose you've recently got an iCloud email address, but Apple are still sending all your iTunes Store, App Store and Mac App Store receipts to your old gmail address (the one that's still your Apple ID). And suppose they're also sending all the Apple Support Communities notifcation emails to your old gmail address. How do you change it? How do you fix it?
Well the option exists, but it is hidden away in a weird place. To get Apple sending all of their receipts and notifications to your new iCloud email address...
• Go to your country's Apple Store website http://store.apple.com/
• Click on the Account button in the top-right corner
• Under Account Settings, click on Change your default shipping or billing info
• Sign in with your usual Apple ID and password
• The email address listed under Payment Information is the key
• Click on Edit next to Payment Information and change that email address to your iCloud address
That's all you have to do.

Issue: cannot change primary email address

I can't seem to change my default email address for my skype account. I can add a new one, and when I want it changed, I get a pop up window where it asks for a password. It doesn't say which password, but I've tried the 3-4 PW's I use on the web, of course including the skype password. It still won't accept it. There's no way I've lost the skype PW, as I used it to log into my account less than an hour ago. Caps lock is off, too.
There's one weird issue that's maybe related to this... the old email (which is useless) is to a passport.com account, and in order to log in to Skype I have to go through the microsoft account option. If I use my old msn login details I won't get in. Though, I've verified that the password I'm trying to use matches the password for that passport account. I really don't know what to do here, it seems like it's asking for a PW I didn't make myself.

Also same issue. had a multitude of issues tring to change my email and/or get away from my microsofy sign-in but every possible avenue reasches a strange dead-end.

You will have to delete your rescue email address first, then go back and change your primary.

You can edit or delete your rescue email address at My Apple ID. To edit your rescue email address:
Navigate to My Apple ID using your web browser.
Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.
Note: The option to send an email to reset your security questions and answers will not be available if a rescue email address is not provided. You will need to contact iTunes Store support in order to do so.

Your Apple ID can be changed. The link you need is close to the bottom of the Support page on the Apple website. The Manage Your Apple ID page allows you to change your rescue email and the Apple ID. If you want to reverse them, first delete the rescue ID, then change the Apple ID, and then create a new rescue ID.
There is a glitch, however. I have changed my Apple ID to my new email, but the Apple Support Community still keeps the old email, and there seems to be no way to change it.....

I want my Itunes/apps purchase emails to go to a different email address than my appleID.
I have changed the primary email address and even added an alternative.
But when I made my last purchase it sent the DO-NOT-REPLY itunes receipts to the originaly email address (which is still the appleID)
yes the new primary email address is verfied.
Am i missing another setting somewhere? in tunes or icloud? I just dont want the itunes info going to the AppleID (or original set up email address)
