Change Report Layout to Landscape
Hi,
There is one Print Icon available at the below of the page in dashboard.
We have the requirment to change the report layout to landscape view when printing through PDF option.
Any way through which we can achieve this?

Go to edit dashboard ->Next to add a page icon, you see a print option..if you change it to landscape then you can print it in landscape view..

Easiest method for changing your reports orientation to Landscape is
Go to object navigator->System parameters->Orientation.
Set value of this system parameter as Landscape. Thats all. You also can set this property using srw. features at runtime.

I've copied SAP std report 132BUDGAVMO to create my own layout. I've copied the report and form, and have alterred the form to my liking.
When I execute the report, the summary section at the bottom of the report appears correctly, but the middle section doesn't show the same columns.
I can't find where this is controlled/stored. How do I get into the centre section of the report layout to alter the column layouts and bring in my new columns when the report executes.
Can anyone tell me how I get into this area of a report to configure the column layout

I was also considering using PL/SQL since I'm very comfortable with PL/SQL and I thought I could control the layout better that way. I was able to create a "matrix" type layout (to coin an Oracle Reports term) that way for another application...
The only thing that was stopping me was that I didn't know how to render the pagination buttons through an API call. That would've been my first preference, actually.
At any rate, your suggestion makes the most sense, given what I know about APEX now.

SmithChanges to SAP Standard are always a bit tricky, specially if we are talking about legal reports. If the standard report uses smartform, you can change the standard form without needing a SSCR key, so no need to create a Z report or smartform even, but like every change on SAP Standard, if further changes are made by SAP through Support packages you will always have to replicate them yourself everytime this happens. I would suggest creating a new Z report by copy of standard and new Z smartform, that way you can always recurr to the standard and see what was changed and then replicate them in you Z reports.
To create smartform, go to TCode smarforms and you can create one by copy of an existing smartform.
Adobe Interactive forms is more complex then smartforms and unless the standard uses a print form, i would not suggest you creating one as it will envolve a bit more knowledge. -
Report Layout width(Report based on SQL Query)
Is there any way to increase the width of the report layout? I have removed as many columns as I can and dropped the font size down but the data in the columns is still wrapping to more than one line. How can I increase the report layout width, or change the layout to landscape or something similar.
thanksI had this problem with wrapping text. You have to create a Reports From SQL Query and choose a custom layout. Then when you go the the HTML layout section, you will need to ad nowrap to the <TD> tag (i.e. <TD nowrap>) for each field you do not want to wrap.

Hi All,
I am working on a report which display employee present or absent in the month. I have to display dynamic column as days varies as per month .
I am done with the report design/query part, using matrix report layout. Report executes and produce expected output too.
Problem:
As this report consists maximum 33 columns (1 = employ name + 31=days in the month + 1=Total days present) I change Page Layout to Landscape.
When I select report output as "pdf" it generates report in Portrait Layout.
Could you please tell me how to fix this issue?

I Copied the Standard Program RCOPCA02 to ZRCOPCA02. I added two new fields(AUART, AUGRU) in the report output. It is executing correctly with default layout, While Changing the layout for displaying new fields it is dumping.

Change of Layout/Look and Feel in BI 7 Reports.
Hi,
This is Prem from NetWeaver Portals.
Currently we have a couple of BI 7.0 reports integrated into portal.
We have also used Portal Themes to alter the Look and Feel of the BI reports with respect to Heading colors, alternate row colors etc. But the scope of changing the Look and feel of BI reports from the Portal theme is very limited.
Is there a way to modify it further from BI's CSS?
Where is this functionality provided in SAP BI 7.0?
We are also interested in changing the Layout of the reports in BI. i.e. unlike the standard BI format of reports as generated from the Web Application designer, we would like to change the layout as well.
How is this layout change carried out? Web Templates?
Kindly spell out a solution for me as I'm not aware of BI

We are trying to change the colors of the execptions and text box and some more. we have created a custom theme in which we changed the complex formatted table crictal, bad, good colors. when we assigned this theme through personalization to the user, custom theme colors are not seen in the BW report.

Report Layout Changed After Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6
Dear Gurus,
I do functional test of every process in ECC6 after upgrade from 4.6C. I found all report layout changed without variant (it's happen to all Query/SQ01 reports ). So I've to assign manually the fields for the reports, and create a default variant then.
Why it happen ? Is there configuration or setting missed or this is standard while we do upgrade ?

I need a wider report layout ( say 126 Characters in width)
not to be resized after Report Wizard execution.
I changed the layout manually, though, it doesn't feel good.
If I run Report Wizard to modify the report , it restores the
default page layout .

re-run the wizard, but it hasn't affected the layout.

nullYou should be able to set the report width in the Report_Open event. Do you use the correct scale? Report width is measured in Twips. There are 1440 Twips per inch, so to get a 6-inch wide report, you set

Also, if there are lines that are wider than 6 inches you first have to set the line width before you set the report width.

Can we change the layout of the report dynamically during runtime for example:the user should have flexibility to change the width, size , position of columns before the report is displayed & also he choose some fields not to display as per his discretion.
MaheshThere are several ways of doing this, it really depends on your requirements as to which is suitable. (There are probably other ways of doing this as well).
- Try Reports XML Customizations
This is available in 6i and allows you to create a report dynamically on the fly. The template used will also allow you to change the paper size as well. The main limitation is that you are relying only on Reports defaulting to create the layout for you. The advantage is that you can store all your information to create the report in meta-data which can be driven by another tool.
- Use lexical parameters for queries and format triggers
Here, you have a fixed layout but dynamically change the query columns to the correct order. You would normally standardise on a "character" column type in order to do this. Even though the layout is fixed, you can use variable sized fields to push objects around. This can be difficult to setup.
- Use several layouts
You're reducing the options for the user, but you can have several layouts in the same report and turn them on/off. Effectively creating differing views of the same data.
