Change Request Management - Transport Request reimport

Hello,
I have read in a forum on SDN about the following behaviour of Change Request Management  in case of a Maintenance Project: after completing import to production environment through Normal correction, when the same maintenance cycle
is used again, ChaRM reimports all the TP's imported in the previous run.
In case of an Implementation Project with Normal correction I guess that this can not happen for an import to Production environment, because it's not possible to use again the same cycle, is it right?
But if we consider the import to Test environment: for example, during a Project cycle, transport request TR1 is imported to Test environment, then cycle status is set again
to "In development" and a new transport request TR2 is created. Is TR1 re-imported, when TR2 is imported to Test?
Thansk a lot,
Stefano

Hi,
Whenyou import a normal correction as per the recommedations from SAP they are asking to de select keep for further imports options,so that when we import other request it will not import the older request.
Please revert for any clarifiaction,
Thanks and Regards,
Avinash.

  • Manage Transport Request

Is there a way to manage transport requests in satellites system with Solution Manager without using Change Request Management?

You call transaction STMS on your Solution Manager. If you have
created a local transport domain, you have to delete it. Menu
Overview-> Systems-> Extras-> Delete TMS Configuration. Confirm the
popups. On the Popup: TMS:Include System in Transportdomain you can
change to "Other Configuration" (F6) (second button from left)
then select "include system to domain". Enter the application server
and system ID from your domain controller. After this your domain
controller get the information that a new system wants to be part of the
domain, then you have to activate this on the controller,
    then the status changed.
That should be all you have to do.
But the recommendation from SAP is that the system with the newest basis
    should be the domain controller.

  • To include the Rule changes to a transport request

    Hello,
I have a rule with the category as responsiblities and tried adding the agent to that rule. The agent got added and saved. But not assigned to any transport request. How can i save these changes in a tranport request.
    Thanks,.
    neslin.

I think it got already savedin some other workbench request, what you can do is try to createa  new workbench request and then goto PFAC txn and enter the rule ID and click on Utilities  -  > request management -
    > and select the newly created request number and Give the PROG as R3TR and OBJID as PDAC..
But make sure that the task created for you should be of type Development/Corrections...
In the responsibilities TAB you have a ICON with symbol Bus/Lorry click on it each time you add a new agent to the rule.

  • Solution Manager Change Management: Transport Request Administration

    Hi.
We want to use the CHARM functionality of Solution Manager to improve our transport operations. We have several customers and expend´s a lot of time making tranports to different systems.
I don want to activate CHARM completely. Which activities do i must perform, and which activities do i must leave ?
    Regards
    Alvaro

    Hi Avinash
This is the Business Scenario: Our company is using SAP Solution Manager to perform monitoring and administration activities for over than 30 customers.
Dayly we espend over 85% of the basis team time making transport for all of the customers. We decide to set some internal politics to bundle transports, stablishing several releases of them, at specific hours of the day. So we want to use SOLMAN`S change logistics instead of CHARM Scenario to control and improve this activitiy, releasing time to perform other activities.

  • Solution Manager 3.2 SP 8- Change Request Management Configuration Problem

    Hi friends,
We are in process of implementing SOLMAN 3.2 SP8 in our landscape.I am facing  problem in configuring change request management.
When the developer is working on an urgent correction document we are facing a problem. The steps we are following are here under provided.
    Step 1 :
Selected Action "In development" - > it created the transport request in the dev system.
    Step 2:
Action "Log into System" -> made correction attached to the transport request manually and released the task.
    Step 3:
Action "Release transport requests" -> The transport request in the development was released.
    Step 4:
Went for action "Pass to correction" -> I am facing exceptions which conveys
    Status was reset by system
A condition is not satisfied because of an exceptional situation
Not all transport requests yet released
And we would be thankful if you provide the authorization required for the different roles in the change request management.I have followed the help file of SOLMAN 3.2 and create the users as under
    User - Role
    SOCM_RQSTR - ZSAP_SOCM_REQUESTER
    (Derrived from SAP_SOCM_REQUESTER)
    SOCM_DVLPR - ZSAP_SOCM_DEVELOPER

    (Derrived from SAP_SOCM_IT_OPERATOR)
Even then I am facing problems while developer creating transport requests and while logging into development system.
I tried adding S_RFC,S_RFCACL auth objects to their roles but did not help.

    Hi all,
We are trying to implement the Change Request Management piece in Solution Manager 3.2.
We are facing the following issues which I think relate to the same reason:
1)We have created a Maintenance Project in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN and assigned it a logical component, which consists of our two system landscape (namely DEVàQAS). We have also created the IMG project in the DEV system and have distributed that IMG project to both the Solution manager system and the DEV system. Now we have to make the maintenance cycle and task list for that maintenance project, but as we select the project and click on “create project cycle” it shows the message "The project is not released. Hence cycle can not be created". It is showing the status of project as locked .How can we open or unlock the project to remove the error?
    2) Also after selecting the SMI project when we click on the button “CTS status switches” or “project specific Transport route” it responds with the error "Project landscape not configured; set the project status to "open" first ".
3)When we click on “synchronize single project” it prompts for the login of connected system (Development System) and after login, it gives an error "Warning, problems during synchronization of the system Landscape".
For Error resolution, we have checked the system landscape and it does not give us any errors. We have done that, both from the solution manager by going to the transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN -->  >system landscape tab>selecting our logical component and doing a check by clicking the "Check system Landscape" button. It returns with "no Errors". We also did a check on the TMS configuration by logging directly on to the TMS domain controller system and checking the Transport routes. We have checked the RFC connections without any errors.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Abhi

  • Include changes of PH in transport request.

    Hi Experts,
Able to create transport request which is available in TCode SCAL to transport PH/ Calendar. How can i include only my changes in the transport request.
for eg. if i have created new holiday calendar "NI" and new holidays id's. How can i include in transport request only my calendar NI and holiday id's.
    Kindly guide.
    Regards,
    M Bharath

As far as I know, all the tables pertaining to Statutory Holidays, Holiday Calendars and Business/Factory Calendars will be included in the Workbench Transport.
It may be possible to delete some of the tables from your transport, but I would not recommend it.
Don't forget that your changes will not have an impact unless you re-generate the Work Schedules using the NI Calendar, and that will be a separate Customizing Transport.

  • Undo changes included in a transport request

    Hello,
I made the changes in DEV system and included those changes in a transport request. I didn't released this transport. Then I realized that those changes must be reverted. What should I do now? How can I undo those changes? Thanks

Revert back your changes you had done if required.
Then SE09 --> Display your request No.
Expand your main Request Folder --> Below your main Request No you can see Child Request No. Double click on Child Request No. Click on Change Mode or press Ctrl+F1 . Then under Object Tab you can see objects.
Select Those objects and click on Delete Row which is be a second button having RED marked minus symbol.  It will give message like object is locked press ok. Automaticaly object will be removed from request. Do same procedure for all oject one by one.

  • Mass local transport request change to Particular Target Server

    Hi there,
we have like 150+ local transport request and now we are looking to do mass changes to Particular transport request server? any programs that would do this? or any other way?
    Thanks in advance
    Kumar

edit:  First and foremost, backup your DB!!
    1.  Get downtime for the system.  It's just not smart moving in that many chagnes w/ the system running.
    2.  Shut the system down.  Lock all the users (you can do this via updating USR02, set UFLAG = 64).
    3.  Backup the current buffer file:  should be in the trans\buffer folder.  Delete it afterwards.
    3.  Start SAP.
    4.  Copy and paste the transports into a spread, generate a list that looks like this:
    tp pf=
    sharepath\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL addtobuffer <transport> <SID>
Run this in order, make sure the transport dependencies are correct in order.
After this, you should have generated a large buffer, with all the 150+ transports, in order they are to be into the system.
    5.  Run tp IMPORT ALL <SID> CLIENT=### u12356 pf=
    networkshare\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
This will move all 150+ changes into the system at once.
    6.  Unlock users, restart SAP system.

  • Query Transport Request

    HI,
I have created transport request for Bex Query. First time I created transport request , I collected all query and query elements apart from this two more additional components added to transport request ( No transport request open on that
query, Only display mode. I have created TP request for change mode)
"BW: LOIO Class Metadata and BW: PHIO Class Metadata ."
Next time i have tried with all grouping options in transport request, I have not seen
"BW: LOIO Class Metadata and BW: PHIO Class Metadata .".
anybody has idea why these "BW: LOIO Class Metadata and BW: PHIO Class Metadata ." components added transport request.
Please let me know if you have nay idea on this one.

    Hi,
    - Check in SE09/se10 for creating requests.
For collecting objects you have go Transport connection without missing the objects.
SE03 for checking the Request objects.
Go to transport connection in RSA1 Select u r Data target or report what ever it may be in development sys & select only necessary objectsu2026 click on transport optionu2026u2026it will ask the transport request create new req. go to SE-9 release the objectu2026go to STMS import u2026RELEASE The objects in quality sysu2026same procedure to production sys.

  • Transport Request's stuck with TRUCK symbol - very Urgent

    Hi All,
I am in the process of Importing 450 transport request's. I have imported 190. While importing next 30, it stucks at importing stage with TRUCK symbol.
Please suggest, how to overcome it or how to reset the tp.
    Thanks,
    Arjun

    Hi Arjun,
There me be various aspects of your transport being stuck. Just ensure the changes in the Transport Request are not big before taking any action. Please be informed that if you are canceling this in the middle in particular if the transport request holds some table structures, the system may mal-function. So please discuss with your development team about the same. You may need to revert the minor changes done by the transport.
    1. Check for the table spaces, if any of them are full add some more space. As the transports may have stuck for the same and may go through.
    2. Check if enough background process are free in SM50 for the transport jobs to run. You can check for the transport jobs status in SM37 by giving RDD* as the Job name. Look out for any of the Job over running or is in waiting status. Looks out for some remedy there. You can cancel the transports by canceling these active jobs in SM37 or in SM50.
Hope this will help. <b>Please be careful if you are really need to cancel the jobs. As I have mentioned at the beginning</b>
    Regards,
    Sanujit
