Forgot my security question answers and my reset email is no longer valid. How do I change my reset email address?

You would need to go to https://appleid.apple.com to change the rescue email but to do so would require you to answer the security questions.
Since you have forgotten the security questions and are not able to change the rescue email then you need to contact AppleCare. Follow the link below to find the number in your country:

If you mean your rescue email address, it's in the Passwords and Security section, after you answer the two security questions.

Trying purcahse a song on iTunes and have been prompted to answer security questions. Since I do not remember setting up these security questions, I do not remember the answers.
I can click a link that will send instructions to resetting the security questions, but the email address associated with this link is no longer active. How do I change this email address?

Apple recommends you change your Apple ID to your current, working email address. This will not create another Apple ID, it will only change it to your working email address. See Changing the name you use for your Apple ID if you'd like more information.

I recently had to change my email address to a gmail address and my itunes login on my iphone still uses my old email address.

After going tthrough a recent change with my internet provider, I was forced to change my email address. I now use gmail for my mail. With my new gmail address, I went to itunes and updated my account to reflect my new email addess. At the same time, I also just bought a brand new iphone4s and got it all squared away.
Here's my problem; Now that I've changed my itunes account to the new gmail address, whenever I try to buy an app for my phone or access itunes on my phone, the popup window for me to log into itunes shows my I.D. as my old email address. Now I can't log into itunes or buy an app for my phone.
Can somebody please tell me how to fix this??

I had the same problem. I tried everything I could think of, and I was just about to reset my iPad. The last thing I tried was giving in and telling the App store app that I'd forgotten my password. It took me through the password change process (for the old email address), and now it's downloading and updating apps normally.
It's still using my old email address in the iPad store app, but it works, and it syncs with iTunes on my Macbook with no problem.

My old emails address which I have used as my apple id for 10 years is being made redundant. I have changed the email address to a new gmail one and this is my new apple id. But my iMac has not recognised this. It keeps saying it wants the password for my old email address. I have seen some advice on these forums which suggest signing out of iCloud and then back in again. But when I start doing this it asks me if i want all the photos deleted that have not been downloaded onto the mac.
I have had an iCloud account for quite sometime and I'm afraid of losing everything in my cloud if i sign out and sign in with a new id.
Is this fear realistic?
I know I can change back to my old email, sign out and then sign in wight he new one...

This did not work for me. My old email account for iCloud still pops up on my screen every time I open my macbook. I've deleted it, reset it, every thing I can think of and it still shows up. I think six months of this is more than enough time to wait.

I changed my email address and updated it to my married name. As a result, when I try to download an app, it keeps telling me that I have the wrong password, despite resetting my password.
I have not "upgraded" to the new OS for quite a while... When I try to download an app, it states that I need "OS 3.2".. or some later version...
How do you update to a new version. It keeps telling me to go to itunes.com and click on update. I'm not seeing this at all.

Did you just change your address, or create a new iTunes account? If it is not a new account you will first have to fix the password problem. Email iTunes Store support if you cannot figure out how to resolve the problem. Have you updated your login on the phone, in addition to iTunes on your computer?
To update your iPhone you need to install the latest version of iTunes (10.5). You also need an iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4. The 3G cannot be upgraded beyond 4.2.1.

You can change/remove your rescue email address by (from here) :
    1.    Navigate to appleid.apple.com using your web browser.
    2.    Click "Manage your account"
    3.    When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
    4.    Click Password & Security
    5.    You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.
    6.    After you've validated your identity by correctly answering your security questions, click Edit to the right of your rescue email address.
    7.    Once you've finished editing your rescue email address, click the Save button directly below the email field.
You should then be able to change your main email address to be that old rescue email address, and then old your current main address as your rescue email address (I'm not sure whether you will need to log and out and back in between each change)

If you know the answers to your security questions then yes, from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 :

You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.
