Change SC approved Notification

Hi,
When a Shopping Cart is approved, a notification is coming to the requestor (initiator) inbox.
The text of that notification is the following:
Document 1000000632 approved
The document 1000000632 of type BUS2121 was approved.
Technical information:
Event: APPROVAL_PROCESS_DOC_APPROVED
SubCat: APPROVAL_RESULT_NOTIFIC_NEW
The following messages have been triggered by the system:
Do you know if there's a way to change this text? Because is too technical.
I am using the WF WS40000014 and SRM 7.0.

Hello Matias,
In standard worflow WS40000014, look for standard task to send mail to workflow initiator using SWDD transaction.
I don't know task number for SRM 7.0.
Maybe you will have to go through sub-workflow to find the task.
When you found it, in 'Description' tab you can change standard SAP text used in notification according to your need.

Dear SRM Gurus,
We are in stand alone scenarion of SRM 7.0 using process controlled WF.
We have received an request to send out notification on approval / rejection of and PO change version.
The PO's are created automaticaly from approved SC's and only the PO change triggers the approval WF.
I've already checked the IMG: SRM server > cross application > Event and event schema for alert management.
1. Define events: BUS2201 Purchase order is present with APPROVAL_PROCESS_DOC_APPROVED and APPROVAL_PROCESS_DOC_REJECTED
2. Define event schema for obj. type BUS2201 event schema PO the APPROVAL_PROCESS_DOC_APPROVED and APPROVAL_PROCESS_DOC_REJECTED with subcategory event APPROVAL_RESULT_NOTIFIC_NEW are set to event category NOTIFIC Message.
3. Define Recipient of notifications: PM Approve change version of purchase order - User Role CR contact person the options rejection and approval of application object are selected.
The users I'am using to test are the same as those who receive notifications for SC rejection/approval so I guess it's not connected to SU01 or PPOMA settings.
Still I don't see notification sent via SOST.
Any ides what I could check next please?

did you give the event schema created to corresponding transaction type ?

Modify PO approval notification

All,
I need to add some extra information to the PO approval notification.
I have downloaded the PO Approval item but I am not sure which
process/ message I should change.
Can you please tell me how to find out what needs to be changed or
where I should make changes in the workflow?

I have identified the message as "PO Approve".
I have added a new attribute called "Requisition Number" to "PO Approval Process" and used it
in "Approve PO" message. I have also modified the procedure PO_POAPPROVAL_INIT1.SetPOHdrAttributes
to retrieve the requisition number of a PO and setting the attribute of "Requisition Number" with it.
Then, in the Approve PO message body I have added "Requisition Number: &REQUISITION_NUMBER" in workflow
builder and saved it in to the target database.
But, the approval workflow notification message is not picking my requisition number.
I am not sure how to actually modify the message of the notification to use the
newly added Requisition number attribute in it.
Can any please give me some direction here?

I am trying to customize PO Approval Notification. I want to add more attributes to the &PO_LINE_DETAILS. how to do it. presently. I made change in the workflow but it doesnt reflect on the page.

Want to add Cost center, Promised date columns to this table.

Find the PO OAF embedded region in the notification. Then you need to personalize that region and add your required columns assuming the attached VO has those values. Otherwise you might have to do VO substitution also.

How to route PO Approval Notification to Requestor instead of PO Preparer?

Dear All,
For PR Approval notification, it is possible to modify the workflow slightly so that the approval notification will be sent to the Requester instead of the Preparer.
For PO Approval notification (PO Approved), is it possible to route the notification to the Requestor (PR Requestor) instead of the PO Preparer?

Ken,
This may not work even if you pass the requester_user_name to this function. Requester name, as I see it, is specifically introduced for the temp labor functionality and not for the normal lines (like goods or expenses). Looks like that is the reason why this is not working when you have changed the workflow, as this attribute is set only if the line is Temp Labor along with others.
You may have to introduce new activity (at the beginnig) to set the value to your own attribute selecting the requestor name from the distributions for the entire PO and use it in the notification or the function suggested here.

Hi,
If possible download standard POAPPRV (PO Approval) workflow.
Copy PO Approval Top Process to create
<YourCompany>PO Approval Top Process eg. xxPO Approval Top Process .
Inside the process you can similarly create new custom sub process and packages by copying standard packages and include your custom requirements.
This way you can keep standard code untouched. However in future you need to keep track of those changes for while Patch and Upgrades.

Workflow Approval Notification in Sales Aggrement of Order Mgmt R12

Hi All,
In Sales Aggrement form in Order Mgmt(R12), after submitting the draft, Approval Notification is not firing.
When checked in the workflow status, it is being directed as 'Not Eligible' and ending the process. I have checked in the package 'OE_APPROVALS_WF.Initiate_Approval' the varibale Role is getting null value.
Can anyone let me know what exactly does this mean. how can i see/fire the notifications.

Add PO additional attachments links to approval Notification

Hello,
I have a requirement: when a PO approval notification is sent, I need to add another section in Notification to list URL Links of all po attachmnets. I am not talking about sending attachments in the email. My requirement is on notification itself which is viewed from worklist. When the user clicks on the attachment link, the corresponding PO attachment should open up.
I am not sure how to achieve this, the POAPPRV is customized and we are adding customized header and lines in approval notification. But I am not sure how to add a URL link. Please help.

As far as I know, you don't need OFA extension.
Can you open the workflow in Workflow Developer and verify that the requisition details are populated using the PO_WF_REQ_NOTIFICATION?
Depending on your version, Oracle may be using a different package. Find that package and make some simple change to verify.

IRecruitment Create Vacancy Approval Notifications

Hi,
I have a client that wishes me to modify the content of the Approval Notification/Message sent to the approver. Is this possible and how to you do it?
In the User Guide it mentions using Application Developer and changing the messages but it is very limited and does not allow me to change this particular message.
I have looked at the workflow 'HRSS' but it uses the generic approvals workflow but I can't see how it generates the message. It mentions in the User Guide to use XML and business events but again gives very little detail.
Can anyone provide more information on how to do this?

I have edited one of the Rules created in Transaction Type: iRecruitment Vacancy Approval. Under the Actions Section, I have added the approver 2,3,4
Action Type Action
approval-group chain of authority Require approval from APPROVER 1

approval-group chain of authority Require approval from APPROVER 3
approval-group chain of authority Require approval from APPROVER 4
approval-group chain of authority Require approval from HEAD_OF_HR1
approval-group chain of authority Require approval from HEAD_OF_HR2
but due to this change the approval is going to be in the sequential direction, for example APPROVER 1, APPROVER 2,3,4 then HEAD OF HR1,2 instead we need who ever approve first then it goes to 2nd level and approved by one of the head of hr as I mentioned above. Kindly tell me this action type I am using for this is correct or should we need to create another action type or should we need to amend approver group SQL statement or any other way which we can acheive the desired goal. Approval notification mail modification

We are using RSWUWFMLEC program to send approval notification.
But User requested to add SRM Approval Note into Notification mail.
I searched SAP Notes and notification mail content can be changed by BBP_OFFLINE_APP_BADI. (program: RBBP_NOTIFICATION_OFFAPP)
But I don't know what method should be changed and How to I have to implemet it on the BADI.
Could you please let me know implemented program examples on the BADI,BBP_OFFLINE_APP_BADI?

If approval note cannot be managed with description task modification, you will have to make a copy of RSWUWFMLEC standard report in order to add your modifications.

Trigger email to outlook for PM approved notifications

I have a requirement to trigger email to outlook for approved notifications. Wheneever there is a PM notification created by any employee, it has to go to approval to his supervisor and once he is approved, the maintenance can create a WO to proceed. How would I acheive this. I know it can be done thru workflow but wanted to check whether I can leverage extended notifications for this function. If yes, what would be the steps. I did configured the extended notifications and set up the background job SWN_SELSEN but nothing has been triggered. How do system know to pick the pending notifications from IW29 ? is it from variant ? please help me to figure out the right way of doing this.

It's not an standard option, you should develop an ABAP function to send email according the User Status and System Status changes defined for the work orders. You should start with status validations in work orders using tables JEST, TJ30T and TJ02T, starting from AUFK-OBJNR. And for Notifications with table QMEL. Identify a user exit and use this code to send the email:

Additionally, Workflow provides a more complex functionality for this.

Ok, I made new tamplate (copy of existing one), there I changed Template Level Approval Process and set allowed resources. It seems to be ok :)

How to change an approver in shopping cart( by function module ) ?

Hello, i wish to change my approver ( not through the portal) but by function module ( or some other way) . Then, the creator of the SC will see the new approver in his cart details and also, when the new approver logs in, he will have the shopping cart in his list.

Deleted PO Approval Notification Accidently, now cant approve Draft. (2007)

My Customer accidently deleted an approval notification. The PO displayes in the Document Drafts report, but when the user drills down into the draft to add it, they get a message: "An authorization for this document has allready been sent. Document can not be added unless this authorization process is completed."
I have two users who can approve this documet, with a required segnature of 1 user.
Any suggestions?

How? That was my question. How do you get an approval message back after your accidently deleted it.
The answer below helped. I wasnt awar the entering user could go into the Send portion of the Message / Alert overview window, and re-send the message.

Hi, you'd have to load the .emlx file for it into something like Text Wrangler, modify it & save it, I think the only way in Mail would be to Forward it to yourself with an edited Subject line.
