Change screen time out iphone 5

just got the iphone 5 and im getting annoyed with it cause the shortest timeout is 1minute. all other mobiles have the option to change this from 5 seconds upwards. why am i not finding the setting?

Unfortunately, 1 minute is what the developers thought should be the minimum time the phone should be on until it automatically locks. There is nothing less than 1 minute to set it to.

My Ipod shuffle is pausing whenever the screen times out...please help.

Make sure your headphones are plugged in all the way, meaning you cannot see any of the silver still showing from the headphone's plug.
A feature of the Nano is to put it to sleep when the display goes out and it does not detect any headphones.

How can I change the screen time out when using the notification screen in zoom on the IPhone?

To clarify, when I am using Zoom and using three fingers to move around on the notification screen. The screen goes blank even if I am actively moving my fingers across the screen to read the screen. Why does the notification screen not recognize active movement and go blank after a peiord of time. I have very limited sight and rely heavly on SIri, text speak, and Zoom.

Screen Time Out

PlayBook times out, continues to act like a stupid product with the screen timeout only being able to go up to five minutes. Blackerry, please add this as an option, Never Time Out when plugged in.
I went to update to newest 1314 update and the stupid thing went to sleep on me again, you said you were going to add this as an option now please do it.

Passing value change from time out

hi,
need help....
i have a radio button wic change arrouding to the text in the timeout.
if the text is 0= the radio button value will b = 1
if the text is 5= the radio button value will b = 2
and so on...
in this condition ..let say for my each time out i need to check the text..and if the value is 0/5
i need to call the " Radio Button :Value Change" event..
how to do tis pls help. thk u

Assuming that the string data is pulled out from a user interface, and is labeled as STRING.
Add value change event to the STRING.
Check your 0/5 condition in new event case
Now, Instead of calling the value (signalling) property, create a sub VI of the code which executes in value change event of Radio control
call the same sub VI in STRING value change event.
its just to delete the code from timeout event.
Also if the problem is solved, just mark the answer as solved.

When I try to open a large data form via SmartView I get error "Couldn't connect to a provider. Address to your Administator to increase time out and attempts count values".

You try and edit essbase.properties in \Hyperion\products\Essbase\aps\bin and increase the following values, you probably need to restart aps to apply the changes.
# Specifies values for Essbase Server network connection
# HPS will try netConnectRetry times to connect to an Essbase Server.
# HPS will wait for netDelay milli-seconds before re-trying a connect operation
# HPS will wait for netSocketTimeOut milli-seconds before timing out IO operation on socket. A zero value will result in infinite timeout.

Hi There - Can anybody tell me if it is possible to extend the time before the screen power switches off ? Being a member of the senior brigade, I have trouble completing a task before the screen powers off. Currently stays on for 15 seconds.
Any help appreciated.

My mother (80 yo) is not capable to perform a task before the screnn light turns off. The easy way for her to make lights on is to flip off and on.Others keys are not desireable since the actual menu is vanish.
According to the Nokia's support in Brazil this feature is a Nokia standard.
So Nokia's phones are not suitable for the old people.
Since this is a worldwide complainning, why not just make a new software version?
Please let me know a Nokia's usefull email that I can request this issue.

Events changing their times in Iphone and Mac

Whenever I use both my iPhone and my Macbook to create events in iCal, after synchronization i see them drift by one hour.
I've already been late or missed appointments because of this, and could use some help ...

I'm having the same problem...random appointments get changed to 1 hour later. How am I supposed to keep track of things that I don't know are getting changed? I just updated my MacBook to the new calendar...could that have done it?

How do I change he time the screen reverts to the Log in requirement when idle.

If I do not use the system for more than a few minutes it reverts to the Login screen requiring the typing of the pasword
all day long, How do I change this time out feature to lengthenit.

Open windows Control Panel, open Personalization, click the Screen Saver link in the bottom right and in the following window adjust the 'Wait' time to a more acceptable figure and if you would rather not have to Log-on after this time period, remove the tick from the box next to 'On resume, display log-on screen'. Click Apply, then Ok to save these changes.

Change Screen Blanking Time on SRSS 5 (RHEL)

I need some help with changing the time out on when the Sun Ray DTU's monitor blanks out.
I am using SRSS 5 on RHEL5, if someone could help- that would be great!

I use a somewhat different setup, where X is run on two screens from beginning, so I neither start or nest a new X server. Depending on DISPLAY variable use this command to change resolution on the fly:
env DISPLAY=:0.1 xrandr -s 1024x768
You are not adding a newmode to your desired output, which is the reason it is not found. Try this:
xrandr --output DVI-I-2 --newmode "1024x768_60.00" 63.50 1024 1072 1176 1328 768 771 775 798 -hsync +vsync
xrandr --output DVI-I-2 --addmode DVI-I-2 1024x768_60.00
xrandr --output DVI-I-2 --mode '1024x768_60.00'

Your problem should be also solvable by wine though, since it appears to change resolution only. Why not run wine in a virtual desktop? I use this code in generated scripts:

wine explorer /desktop=$APP_NAME,$PRE_RES $WINE_APP
Where $APP_NAME is the name displayed as title of virtual desktop, $PRE_RES would be in your case "1024x768" and $WINE_APP S3.EXE.
For mouse issues that might occur with virtual desktop, use these registry settings to enable or force mouse override for a specific application (S3.EXE in your example) or use it as a global setting, although I do not recommend that.

Hammer USB HD timing out. How to change time out value?

My new Hammer USB 500 Gig portable hard drive does not mount. USB probe log gives these error message:
33.929 [1] AppleUSBEHCI[0x177d800]::Found a transaction which hasn't moved in 5 seconds on bus 91, timing out!
68.941 [3] AppleUSBHub[0x17a4400]::TimeoutOccurred error
The drive mounts on an iMac running Mac OS X 10.5, but neither Finder nor Disk Utility can see the drive on my Powerbook running 10.4.11.
Hammer tech help says the drive takes as much as 7 minutes to mount. I did notice that it took some time on the iMac.
Any ideas? Can I change the time out constant somehow?
By the way the drive requires more than 500 miliamps to start up. I have a double USB cable that does bring the drive up, but my Powerbook won't mount it.

Self powered USB drives are a big problem, I think the only answer is a Powered USB Hub.

FTP Time Out - Cannot Open Remote Folder

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 and windows Vista. I have set-up site definition (with user id and password) and used to be able to connect to the remote server, open remote folders, and upload and download files using Dreamweaver. However, all of sudden I cannot open the host directory remote folder where all of my website information are, It just times out. I can connect to the server, if I don't specify the host directory. I changed FTP time out in dreamwever to increase ftp time, but still it times out. I used to be able to open the host directory without any problem, and I have not changed any information in site definition. I have tried to use fireFTP, and I can connect to the server but cannot open the the host directory, same as in Dreamweaver.
Other pople working on the same website, with same site definition with the same user name and password can connect and open the same host directory remote folder using Dreamweaver on their pcs without any problem. So it seems like the problem is with my pc or Dreamweaver setting, even though I have not changed any settings.
Does anyone know what would be causing this problem and how I can resolve this issue? Thanks.

I found out that the remote folder which I can't open (host directory) contains many wmv video files, which might be causing the problem of timing out using Dreamweaver on my PC. Other people can open the same folder using their Dreamweaver on their PCs.
I can connect to another remote server and open all the folders in Dreamweaver without any problems.
Is there any settings I can change in Dreamweaver or on PCs to resolve this issue, or any other suggestions? Thanks.

I tried by testing the same URL by using XI 3.0, its working fine and i am getting required data, but in PI 7.1 i am getting an error.
Error is:

Time out connection in the classes12.zip

Hello,
How can I change the time out connection to my database in Java ? I use the JDBC thin driver (classes12.zip) to connect to an 8.1.6 standard Oracle edition on an NT Server.
I tested a network problem connection removing the network cable and then my application waits 20 minutes to raise an exception.

You need to set a tcpip timeout at the os level. Oracle jdbc does not support timeouts.
