Change Sequence from HD to NTSC after video build complete

Using Premiere Pro CS5 I inadvertently left the Sequence in HD format instead of changing back to NTSC.  I complete the whole video (48 minutes) but when I exported it I found myself with a small resolution  product about half the size it should be (400 MB instead of 800 MB).  My question: Is it possible to go into the video and change something so that when I export the timeline it comes out suitable for the standard youtube video.
Thanks
patlandy

Thanks for responding Jeff,
The video comes from 18 individual movies from a cannon FS300 camera. Image size: 720 X 480, Frame Rate: 29:97, imported as .mod format and renamed to .ms2t so that Premiere Pro would recognize the clips.  The videos total 131 minutes, after editing I have 31 clips on the timeline totalling 48 minutes.
When I started the project I just clicked through the sequence page, forgetting that I had just experimented with some wide angle GoPro video and had set the sequence for a previous video to HDV 1080p30.  After importing and editing the 18 videos I exported the time line and discovered the size to be 49 minutes and only 340 MB.  Previous exports (this is number 8 in a 9 part series) to DV-NTSC_Stardard 48Khz yielded a 40 minute video that was 948 MB.
I'm trying to determine if I have to re-edit the whole project or if there is any way to salvage the 31 clips as DV-NTSC.
How would I copy the HDV sequence (31 clips) to a new (Sequence 2) HD-NTSC sequence?
Thanks
Pat Landy

how do i change my email id to be synced with i cloud.i basically changed over from yahoo to gmail after i created my apple id?

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.

How do you clear completed updates from the app store after downloading is complete on iOS 7.0.2?

You don't. It's how things are done now, likely to accommodate those that have auto update turned on.  IT's been said that the updates will just drop off after a period of time but  time will tell on that.

  • Changing sequence from 16:9 widescreen to anamorphic widescreen

I am working on a short video clip shot using 5D Mark II - 1080p. I am editing on FCP 7 and want to change my sequence from 16:9 to anamorphic widescreen without any distortion...anyway this can be done? All my raw files and transcoded file are 16:9.
    Thanks
    Sid

sure.  fcp will automatically adjust this when you edit a clip into the sequence, so after changes the sequence settings, simply edit a source clip at the end of the sequence.   Does it display correctly?  If so, select the clip, copy, and then select all the other clips in the sequence, hit option-v (paste attributes) and make sure just basic motion and distort are checked.  Should fix everything.  Then delete that clip you added at the end of the sequence.
Oh yeah, probably a good idea to duplicate your sequence before doing this, in case you make a mistake (or if I've made a mistake - nah, that wouldn't happen).
    good luck.

  • Exporting sequence from Premiere CC to Audition CC opens completely wrong clips in multitrack

I export my sequence from PP and Audition opens 100% incorrect video and audio!  Nothing is the right clip, totally wrong files are being opened.  I have no clue at all what is going on.  Can anyone help?
Footage is DV PAL.  Audio is single stereo audio file (made in Audition CC) on dialogue track and single stereo music track, both 48KHz 16bit. All audio is going into Audition at 0db with no effects (ie untampered).
I've done plenty of other mixes with the same project in different sequences with no problem at all (starting in CS6 and now working in CC - it's a feature film project with many tracks and over an hour long).  The primary feature mixdown has been done and worked beautifully last week.  Now I'm working on a trailer which is only 3 minutes long, using the rendered movie as my primary source, so it should be quite simple.
I have had a look at the xml (of which I only have the most basic understanding) and the document clearly references completely wrong files, so I think you are right and it's a PP issue rather than Audition, which just seems to be fed crap to start with!
    My specs are:
    Mac Pro 5,1 - 6 Core 3.33GHz
    48GB RAM
    GTX 680 Mac
    OSX 10.8.5
    Adobe CC - up-to-date
playout via Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 (FW400)
    Thanks for any help!
    Dominic
    PS
This is a copy of a thread I started in the AUdition forum but was advised to ask here instead.

Not a direct reply to your question but...
I have only exported video to Audition as a reference track- preferring to use the PP timeline for the master export.  I somehow feel it's less prone to image quality loss (codec dependent!)
To that end, I add the imported Audition mix-down either as a single or multiple stems, depending upon the project requirements,  and place them in sync in the original timeline.

  • Export changes sequence from 16:9 to 4:3

Editing Apple ProRes 422 with mts files converted to mp4.  When I export sequence to mov or mp4, the aspect ratio changes from 16:9 to 4:3 and the picture compresses.  I'm using Export>Quicktime Conversion. Is there a setting I can change to correct this?

Yes, I couldn't find a way to convert the .mts files to .mov and could only convert them to .mp4.  Appreciate your answer but not completely understanding it. So are you saying I should convert my sequence using Export>Quicktime Converter and change the settings to ProRes, or are you saying I should convert the source files to ProRes somehow?

  • Running Task Sequence from Software Center failed after rebooting to WinPE (0x8022001B)

    Hi all
I have created a task sequence to refresh client OS to windows 8.1 x64. I ran this task sequence in software center on a windows 7 client, everything went well without any fails.
But when I ran the same ts again after it refreshed to Windows 8.1, it failed immediately after rebooted to WinPE. It shows a warning with error code 0x8022001B.
My test environment: SCCM 2012 R2 (Windows Server 2012 R2). Client Device: Lenovo L430
    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Then it's using a different boot image that doesn't have the NIC driver. The OS that the TS starts out in has no impact on the WinPE environment. Either the driver is there and properly loads or it doesn't -- there is not and cannot be any connection to
the OS the system was booted into prior to PE booting.
Thus, the only possibility here is that the boot image does *not* have the NIC driver in it. You need to verify which boot image I being used in both cases.

  • Changing default from PAL to NTSC

I use Imovie to create photo slideshows. When I create a new project and set as DV, it defaults to PAL. Anyone know how to change the default to NTSC? I don't see anywhere to change the defaults.

    Hi embalmer,
    Welcome to the Discussions.
To change to NTSC, in the Preferences > General, set the "New project frame rate" pop-up menu to 29.97 fps, and then start a new iMovie project. For more info: iMovie HD Help: Setting a default frame rate.

  • Importing Sequences from After Effects CC 2014 into Premiere

Before the update to cc 2014, I was easily able to import After Effects comps into Premiere using "Import" in Premiere. I would select an AE project to import, and it would ask me which sequences inside that project I wanted to import. Worked perfectly. This was just a couple weeks ago.
NOW, I go to import sequences from an AE project and it only shows ONE sequence out of however many I may have. This has happened twice so far. Quitting & reopening both programs didn't do anything. Has something changed with the update?

Dynamic Link only works between After Effects and Premiere Pro if the applications are of the same version---i.e., both CC 2014 versions.

is it possible to bring in a video layer from photoshop cs5 to after effects cs5 - i tried but it said "the photoshop library operation failed because the file is not compatible with this version of photoshop"
    thanks again

In the import dialog box, uncheck the Photoshop Sequence option.
The problem is the number on the end of your file name.  When After Effects sees a number there, and there are other files in that directory with the same name and a number, it thinks the images are part of a sequence and will enable that checkbox.

  • Why does my canvas display white after importing sequence from Color into FCP 7

Hi, I have a problem involving the relationship between Color and Fcp 7. When I imported my Color grade back into fcp 7 it permanently changed my fcp working file, even the other ungraded sequences. Now when the cursor is static over a clip all that is diplayed on the canvas is white, but when the film plays it plays normally. This is obviously a problem because it is useful to see individual frames when editing.
Furthermore, when I exported the graded sequence from Fcp 7 as a .mov, certain parts were now blocks of white, the first time it seemed to be the parts where there were green unrendered bars above the clips in the fcp file, but then the second time I rendered it all prior to exporting and there were still two areas where it was white in the export, namely the title credit which I had made against a colour solid Matte, and also a greenscreen clip that I had imported from After effects.
The problem now is that it has permanently changed fcp so that all of the working files for my different projects now display as white when the cursor is static.
Does any one have any ideas?
    Thanks alot,
    Bill

Ah actually just solved the problem, turns out it has nothing to do with Color after all, just on the Canvas drop down menu to the right it was set to Alpha rather than RGB - very simple really!

  • Changing an existing DVD from PAL to NTSC

I have just created, and burned, a DVD in iDVD 7.0.4 in my default setting of PAL.
Now I want to print one in NTSC format. I went to Project Information and changed the setting from PAL to NTSC, read the warning given that it would rerender my assets, and clicked OK. I waited for something to happen, and when nothing did, I tried to burn the DVD, assuming it had changed what was necessary. I got the message 'You are burning a PAL movie to an NTSC disc. Do you want to proceed?' I'm using the same discs I always do: DVD-R. I've made no change. Can anyone help, please? I'm on an iMac running Snow Leopard. Many thanks.

Thank you! In desperation, I tried just that. I opened a new iDVD project, set it for NTSC, and imported the movie I wanted to burn from iMovie (where I made it in the first place). I've just burned the new disc and I can't view it on my screen - which is promising. Does this tell me that it's worked - that I've produced an NTSC video??!

  • How do you access updates to apps from the App store after changing to a new ID because the password on the old ID was changed and you don't know what it is now?

How do you access updates to apps from the App store after changing to a new ID because the password on the old ID was changed by the former husband and you don't know what it is now?  And you set up your own new ID and account but can NOT access the updates, from the App store for the many apps that you already have, because they require that you sign in with that former now inaccessible ID and account and password?  Call it a problem of modern times and changing relationships, if you want to be charitable.

So I guess it will only be new apps that I download that are allowed to give me their updates while 13 updates wait for me on an ID I can no longer access.
    Yes...  sorry.
In the future, if need be, you can re download your purchases for free  >  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Good rule of thumb is to back up your purchases regardless  >  Mac App Store: Backing up your app purchases
