Change sharing account on iphoto

Please help an amateur! I let my friend share pictures from my Macbook on her facebook wall, before I'd ever done that myself, and now I just cannot find a way how to log out and change the account. How do I do that? How do I share the pics on my own FB wall?

iPhoto Menu -> Preferences -> Accounts ->
Delete her settings and add your own.

  • Sharing photos (in Iphoto) between user accounts

    Hi, I am a new Mac user, so nothing is obvious to me at the moment and I therefore apologise for the simplicity of this question.
    I have a new black MacBook OS X I have set up two accounts on it, one for myself and one for my wife. However there are some applications which we would like to share (IPhoto and ITunes). I can see that there is a shared drive and I have tried to move these applications into there, however my wife's account still can't get access to these files/applications.
    I KNOW there is an obvious solution to this, but can't find it!
    What am I doing wrong??
    Thanks for any help

    LoIM
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
    There are two ways to share, depending on what you mean by 'share'.
    If you want your wife to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open her account. In her account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in her source pane.
    Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
    This will work with iTunes too.
    If you want your nearest and dearest to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc. then:
    Quit iPhoto in both accounts
    Move the iPhoto Library Folder to the Users/Shared (or an external HD)
    Make sure the file permissions are set to allow read/write access to everyone
    In each account in turn: Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting dialogue, select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new library location. From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
    However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.

  • User Property changes show up on the outlook 2013 UI correctly but it does not show up on the MailItem User Properties in Shared Account between PCs Environment

    Hello There,
    I have written an Outlook Add-In to add several User Properties to our incoming emails. This add-in will be installed in 100 computers in different states and our Exchange server is hosted in our datacenter in CA.
    Everything works great but there is an odd thing happens and that is when one PC changes a UserProperty Value all the other PCs  show up that change on their outlook UIs but when I get the MailItem object from the same other PC is
    not showing the changes. But if I shutdown outlook on that PC and open it up again the changes will be showing up in the MailItem object. It seems to me that MailItem doesn't refresh but UI does.
    Does anyone know how I can refresh the MailItem after its UserProperties has been changed from another pc in a shared account environment.
    These are my codes to save a property and show all properties:
    Public Sub SaveUserProperty(xName As String, xValue As String)
    Dim ns As Outlook.NameSpace = Me.Application.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    Dim oMailItem As Outlook.MailItem = Nothing
    Dim oUserProperties As Outlook.UserProperties = Nothing
    Dim oUserProperty As Outlook.UserProperty = Nothing
    Try
    oMailItem = ns.GetItemFromID(curMailId)
    oUserProperties = oMailItem.UserProperties
    oUserProperty = oUserProperties.Find(xName)
    If oUserProperty IsNot Nothing Then
    oUserProperty.Value = xValue
    End If
    oMailItem.Save()
    Catch ex As Exception
    MsgBox(String.Format("{0}: {1}{2}", "SaveProperty", vbTab, ex.Message))
    Finally
    If Not IsNothing(oUserProperty) Then
    Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUserProperty)
    oUserProperty = Nothing
    End If
    If Not IsNothing(oUserProperties) Then
    Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUserProperties)
    oUserProperties = Nothing
    End If
    If Not IsNothing(oMailItem) Then
    Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oMailItem)
    oMailItem = Nothing
    End If
    If Not IsNothing(ns) Then
    Marshal.ReleaseComObject(ns)
    ns = Nothing
    End If
    End Try
    End Sub
    Public Sub ShowUserProperties()
    Dim builder As StringBuilder = New StringBuilder()
    Dim ns As Outlook.NameSpace = Me.Application.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    Dim oMailItem As Outlook.MailItem = Nothing
    Dim oUserProperties As Outlook.UserProperties = Nothing
    Dim oUserProperty As Outlook.UserProperty = Nothing
    Try
    oMailItem = ns.GetItemFromID(curMailId)
    oUserProperties = oMailItem.UserProperties
    For Each oUserProperty In oUserProperties
    builder.AppendFormat("{2}:{0}{3}{1}", vbTab, vbNewLine, oUserProperty.Name, oUserProperty.Value)
    Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUserProperty)
    Next
    If (builder.Length > 0) Then
    System.Windows.Forms.MessageBox.Show(builder.ToString(), "The UserProperties collection")
    End If
    Catch ex As Exception
    MsgBox(String.Format("{0}: {1}{2}", "ShowUserProperties", vbTab, ex.Message))
    Finally
    If Not IsNothing(oUserProperty) Then
    Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUserProperty)
    oUserProperty = Nothing
    End If
    If Not IsNothing(oUserProperties) Then
    Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUserProperties)
    oUserProperties = Nothing
    End If
    If Not IsNothing(oMailItem) Then
    Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oMailItem)
    oMailItem = Nothing
    End If
    If Not IsNothing(ns) Then
    Marshal.ReleaseComObject(ns)
    ns = Nothing
    End If
    End Try
    End Sub

    Outlook will not see the latest changes downloaded from Exchange (or changed through MAPI bypassing the Outlook Object Model on the local machine) until the MailItem object is completely released and reopened. The explorer list shows the changes since it
    is fed off the underlying folder contents table, not the cached MailItem object.
    There is nothing you can unless you make sure the MailItem object is released and is never kept referenced fro any prolonged periods of time.

  • How do I disable my MobileMe account and add iCloud as the account for sharing photos in iPhoto?

    I have been trying to email work photos from my MacBook that were downloaded from my iPhone into iPhoto.  However, it states, "the server does not recognized your email/password".  I had/have a MobileMe account but have transferred everything over to iCloud.  Unfortunately, iCloud is not an option when trying to add the following: iPhoto>Preferences>Sharing>Email>Add Account.  I thought that it would have automatically converted the information over to iCloud from MobileMe but this did not happen.  How do you add iCloud as the email account for sharing photos from iPhoto?

    I;m going to bump this because I've been trying to figure it out for a week on these forums...

    Hi,
    Are you talking about changing the Apple ID used for purchases in iTunes? If so go to 'Settings->iTunes & App Store-> then 'tap' on the Apple ID that appears and click Sign Out on menu that appears. You can now login with a different Apple ID.

  • Moving iPhoto pictures to guest account's iPhoto Library.

    Hi, i use a 2006 mac mini, and I was wondering how can I move or Draft all of my iphoto pictures onto my 2nd account's iPhoto library on my mac mini? Because i have a "guest" account so to speak, and was just wondering if there's anyway i can do it. Thanks.

    For iPhoto 09 (version 8.0.2) and later:
    What you mean by 'share'.
    If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
    Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
    Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
    If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc.
    Quit iPhoto in both accounts. Move the Library to the Users / Shared Folder
    (You can also use an external HD set to ignore permissions, a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.)
    In each account in turn: Double click on the Library to open it. (You may be asked to repair the Library Permissions.) From that point on, this will be the default library location.

  • Removing 2nd account from iPhoto?

    Using Lion and my wife and I each have access to iPhoto, I believe through a shared file. Any changes made by one are viewed by the other.
    Rather than having 2 copies of iPhoto, which sometimes causes permission issues, we would like to remove iPhoto from her account and leave on mine which is the main computer.Is someone able to assist in getting this done?
    Thanks!

    Do you want to merge the two Libraries? To do this you'll need the paid version ($20) of

  • Can I have multiple payment methods on my Family Sharing account?

    My family and I all just joined the Apple community, and we set up a family sharing account. However, everyone in our family sharing account would like to use our own methods of payment, (like myself, my dad, etc). Can we do this?

    Hello steevo_711,
    After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains helpful advice concerning Family Sharing payments. There can be only one payment method which is associated with the family organizer:
    Setting up Family Sharing
    When you set up Family Sharing, you'll be asked to confirm that you agree to pay for purchases initiated by the family members you invite and that you have a valid payment method on file. Valid payment methods for setting up Family Sharing include credit cards and debit cards. You can change the billing method on file in your account at any time in your iTunes & App Store account settings.
    Making purchases
    After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer. As the family organizer, any receipts generated by the transaction will be sent to you. Learn more about how iTunes Store purchases are billed.
    Once paid for, a purchased item is added to the account of the family member who initiated the purchase. In other words, the content belongs to them, much as it would if you were buying them a book or a DVD. If Family Sharing is ever disabled, each member will keep the purchases they initiated, even though they were paid for by the family organizer.
    Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

  • Changing an account holder name

    Hi
    I live in a shared flat and the account holder for our BT account has moved out. Is there a way to simply change the account holder name, as we would still like all the payment details to remain the same?
    From looking at other posts it seems we would have to close the account and re-open another. Surely BT have a system for people living in shared houses, where I should imagine tenants change regularly. It seems ludicrous to have to close the whole account and then sign up again to the exact same package every time someone moves out?
    If anyone could clarify I would be grateful.
    Thanks

    I would use it as a great way to get a better deal, if you've had the same contract for more than 6 months you're likely to find a better deal when you call anyway, and as a new account can take advantage of a myriad of deals going at the moment!  Perfect, look at it as a positive, not a negative...
    You would have to take out a fresh 24 month contract changing almost anything on your account anyway, so even if they allowed changing details they would probably insist on a new contract term, however, these aren't difficult to escape from if you need to, just ask what the cancellation cost per month is (£1.50/month has been mine for years) if this is what is making you wary?
