Change size of pages/text in pdf book

Hello I am trying to read a few pdf books but the text is so small that I have to zoom way in and then scroll from side to side to read the thing. Its super irritating. Is there a way to make the pdf book act more like the regular books? I would like to be able to have the text bigger and fit the page at the same time, instead of just zooming in. Thanks

No it doesn't.
Just make it the way you like it, select it and save it as a Style , just like any other text, which you then apply to the rest of the comments.

Size of pages in combined pdf files

How can I keep the combined pdf files from changing sizes in the newly created pdf. If the combining tool doesn't allow me to save the original pdf file size, it's of very little use to me. Can someone help me ?

You are saying that the PDF pages change size when combined? Ok, what were the sizes before and after? You can check the exact size by holding the mouse at the extreme bottom left of the page until the size appears.

Can I re-size the pages in a PDF document?

I've got a document done in Mac Pages. It turns out to be the wrong page size. It would be a lot of work to reposition everything again.
Is there any way with Acrobat Pro that I can resize the PDF pages in a PDF document?
I notice I can extract the individual pages ... if I could extract them and somehow import them back into a re-sized Pages document, then re-export them to PDF at the proper size???

No problem with 'hard' copy or 'web' copy. I understand about compression.
But. Either way I've got the same problem with both versions. I did the original with the document page size set at 'legal' size, as was recommended by a particular print house we were going to use.
Here is the actual concept: www.howtosolveglobalwarming.info (see 'DVD' page link).
It turns out this was not a helpful recommendation. The 'booklet' is supposed to fit into a DVD case, which is about 7.25 inches in length (height).
I don't want to have to rebuild the original document page by page. I just want to resize the entire thing down from its original 'legal' size (8,5 X 14) to something more like 4.04 X 7.25.
The only way I can figure to do it with Acrobat is reset the page size, then output to 'print', but then I can't make a straight PDF, I have to make a Postscript (it seems) file, which I then have to convert back to a PDF ... (and I notice some odd artifact frames appearing around text-supered-over-graphics- which might disappear if I 'flatten' the original PDF file before outputting to Postcript and converting back to PDF??
I bet there is a simpler way. Any suggestions? Also, is there any function in Adobe Acrobat Pro that would allow me to add 'space' to one side of a page (as in Photoshop)?
Or perhaps I should extract each of the 30 pages, resize them in Photoshop, and then reconstruct the document in Pages (or Acrobat) using the Photoshopped pages?

How to change the background color of text in PDF based by font name. Is there any option in Javascript. e.g: If PDF containing ARIAL font, the ARIAL text background color needs to be changed in red color for all pages. Same for all fonts with different different color in the PDF.

How to change the logon page text colour?

When you follow the steps outlined at the Wiki page, what exactly is where you receive an error? You'll have to change the JSP page of the logon to insert your changes. Have you done this and the changes are not reflected?

Pl/pdf changing size of page

I'm using PL/PDF for generate my pdf files, but i need to generate a pdf that has the size 5" X 8", but i don't know how can i do that, i tried to change the parameter in plpdf.init(), but i only found these formats A3 and A4,

How to change size of all text on screen when in 2560 x 1440?

When I change my display setting to 2560 x 1440 all of the text on the screen turn to 'mice-type'. Is there a way to increase the font size to like 14? I like the higher resolution, but can't take the small fonts.

If you want the fonts in all the windows and the menu bar, etc. to be larger, you do need to take down the resolution a notch; if you don't want to do that, you can increase the font size in finder (View > show view options), but that will only increase the size in some of them.

Changing individual template pages text!! How??

So if I choose a template such as "screenplay" and I have 10 different pages within that one document, how do I change the header text that appears across the top of each template page? They are all linked together, so when I change one, they all change. Can't I override this and have some of the headers different? Thanks.

Yes, you can. Put a section break at the end of one type of header section, then click in the body of the next page, and UNcheck User Previous Headers & Footers from the Layout inspector.

Scanner changes size of pages

Everytime i scan a regular 8 1/2 x 11 page, it will show up on the screen smaller than that size (reduced to like 75%) and with black smears at the bottom taking up the rest of the page. Not sure how to adjust this but really need to get it sorted as my job depends on scanning.

Hi , I did some homework on my end and produced a number of screenshots that depict the different settings you can adjust when scanning to computer. I used the HP Printer Assistant (software that comes with the printer) as well as Microsoft Paint and Windows Fax and Scan methods to illustrate all the ways you can scan to computer. I'm hoping that at least one approach results in the consistent document size that you're looking for. Note that while I did use an Officejet Pro 8620, the software setup and scan features are virtually identical to what you'd see with your 8610. HP Scan Method: Click on your printer icon on your PC desktop to open the HP Printer Assistant. From there click on Scan to Computer.Try configuring the scan settings as follows: Next, click on Advanced Settings and note the selections that I've used: Make sure the scan size matches the size of the originals: Microsoft Paint Method: If you're not having success with the HP software you might want to try using Microsoft Paint to scan. Use the following screenshots as a guide for configuring your scan settings: Open Paint and click on File and then 'From scanner or camera.' Select your printer. Choose the appropriate feeder vs. glass settings and paper size. Windows Fax and Scan Method: As an alternative to Paint you can use Windows Fax and Scan. The interface is similar to what you'll find in Paint. Let me know if any of these methods are useful in producing the scan size you're seeking. One way you can experiment with the results is by trying different scan sizes (i.e. letter size versus entire scanning area size). How to change Page Text in Book Module?

I am in the process of creating a 158 page photo book to be printed by Blub. I have created many other Blurb books using their BookSmart software. This is my first attempt using the Lightroom Book Module.
My problem is I would like the change the default Page Text field on each page without having to manually change each page. There doesn't seem to be a way to do a mass change. There is a "Select All Text Fields" command under the Edit tab, but that selects all of the text fields, both Page and Photo text fields, which doesn't help.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, include telling me there is no automated way to do it and I just need to "suck it up" and manually change all 158 pages with the same exact text.

Thanks a lot for your valuable answer. I have found the text for the "User Authentication Failed" , done the changes and depoyed the Jar file . This is working.
But the same when i try to do for "Authentication failed. Password locked" this message comes when i do multiple failed login. I need to change the text , i found the text in the u2022sap.comtcjesecurityimpl.jar file, i made the changes in the JAR file ,replaced with the server jar file and restared.
But the changes did'nt get reflected. Can you please suggest if i am chaning in the correct JAR file?. I am working in NWDS7.3
Can you please help me on this. Appreciate your help .

I was testing the preciseness & efficiency of Adobe acrobat x professional's doc conversion capabilities. As i have to take a document editing project in future which is going to need lot of pdf to word and vice versa conversions . What I did was I created a test word document converted into a pdf using a pdf maker in my word 2007 , Acrobat did convert the document from word to pdf keeping everything in the source file intact , However when i tried the other way round and attempted to convert the same pdf to word 2007 file format I lost my formatting ?So the font that I used to create the pdf are the ones taken from word 2007 which i believe is using the fonts that are installed in my computer. Any suggestions on how to preserve the formatting of the document after converting it from pdf to word file format?

Cmd brings up dashboard, can I change it? I used to use it to change the text size in Pages

Upgraded to lion and all is good. However, cmd+ has been hyjacked by the OS to bring up the dashboard. I use cmd+ and cmd- to change the text size in Pages. Is there a way to change the Lion keyboard shortcuts to get the functionality back for Pages? The cmd- still works to reduce text size in Pages, so it's even more frustrating that cmd+ does something else.

Well on my MBP running Lion 10.7.2 Command+ or - does not do anything, and that is using either Command+ or Command(+ shift)+. I do not have pages installed.
The point is that Command+ and Command- should control the text size in Pages (we're not talking about any othr program, just Pages). Those are hard-set (programmed in the software) keyboard commands for Pages.
In Pages, Command+ should increase the text size, and not bring up the Dashboard. And that is the OP's problem - that command is bringing up Dashboard, which it should not do. Apparently there is some setting somewhere that is causing Command+ to do the wrong thing - and that's what we're trying to find.
So at least on my MBP Command+ certainly does not bring up the Dashboard....
Good - it's not supposed to, nor is that what the OP wants.
By the way, if you use Safari and/or Mail, you'll find that Command+ and Command- adjust the text size in those programs. Ditto Numbers, TextEdit, Bean, and many other programs - it's a fairly common assignment, hence not one which usually needs to be added via Keyboard Shortcuts.

Changing the text size in Pages or Open Office with Automator.

I have a question about the Automator software. I'm trying to change the size of the text in either Pages or Open Office. Present the text size is 10,5 and I would like to change this to 22. I wanted to ask whether this is possible and how I do this. This programme is very new to me. I have a German system and need to change hundreds of files. Many thanks.

Whilst in the Preview application, press "Shift - Command - A" (⇧⌘A) simultaneously to show the markup toolbar, or click View, and select "show markup toolbar". There is an icon "A" near the right hand side of the now visible markup toolbar, click this icon to reveal all the font options.
