Change slideshow size in Fireworks

hi every body
i have created an slideshow with Fireworks, and i have 2
questions:
1: how can i change the dimention of slide show box? it is
too small for me.
2: when i click on a photo it will be opened in another
window but it is still small, how can i change the dimention of the
photos.( i should mention that the photos i use are big, 2000x1800
px but Fireworks ridimention them authomatically!!!!
i tryed to go to Export Option to chang Weith anf heith but
it is not activated so i can't change it!!!!

You need to select the Album for the Export options to be
editable. Once you modify those settings the box will be big
enough.

Is there anyway to change the size of the font in images in slideshow

You seem to be able to change the size and style of the font in embedded Image Gallery, but is there a way to change the size of the font, that is displayed in the full screen slideshow mode? Small white font over black bars are very hard to read.

Changing photo size

I have some pictures on my ipod but when I look at them some are really blurry and have other weird stuff(they look fine on the computer). The others look fine, it seems only the big pictures are blurry, the small or meadium sized ones are fine. So my question is how do I change the size of my pictures to make them smaller? By the way, I have tried right-clicking then pressing edit then I change the size and click save, but it doesn't work! Please help.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try R-Name. With it you can determine the pixel dimension you want and also the quality/compression level to use. I am able to reduce a 1.6 MB 2272 x 1704 jpg down to 640 x 480 at 40 KB (used a quality level or 60%). It's free and can batch change folders of photos. You will have to use it outside of iPhoto, however.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Issue with slideshow size and buttons.

I am having issues with the spry image slideshow with filmstrip. I can not figure out why the buttons disappeared. When I was installing the slideshow to the site I am pretty sure I only changed the size so that it would fit the page. Once I got that figured out I noticed the buttons where no longer there. Also the arrows for the thumbnail pictures would not work. I was able to make some adjustments to get the arrows to work with thumbnails. Still having problems with the play and next and previous buttons. They are not visible. Any help would be appreciated. The site is http://abbeyhelpsbrokenhearts.com/story.html
I have created a brand new page to test in dreamweaver. If I change the size of the width it puts a white box below the slideshow with the buttons below.

well , you are certainly getting some really good help now...its like you fell into a room with the best editors and shooters and everything and you can get a lot of information and run with it...find out a lot of things.
Some of it requires you follow through on your own as much as possible ( like you have already ) by reading and googling things you dont know, etc... this forum and these guys is how I learned a lot about this stuff in the past year or so...so listen to what they say....google what you dont understand....you cant go wrong.

I exported the test clip as an MPEG2-DVD and it gave me a video file with NO SOUND, a separate WAV sound file, and two xmp files. This is not what I was looking for.
I have a movie project on Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. I simply want to export/publish the movie, burn it onto a DVD using Windows DVD maker and have it as top quality, like it looks in the preview monitor on Premiere. Tell me how to do it.---
I dont use encore to burn a dvd, but use DVDit PRO. It wants exactly what you got when you exported to mpeg 2 dvd ....a video file without sound muxed.. and a separate wav file....
I know it sounds weird but thats the way the program burns the DVD....and that has to do with making the VOB files etc for the DVD...which is just the way it is....you see the vob files AFTER you burn the DVD if you look in the DVD...
anyway, mpeg 2, mpeg 4, all that highly compressed stuff ( as you said ) is highly compressed to FIT onto the media ( DVD ) or whatever....but it plays good and it looks good...and has NOTHING to do with anything except squishing stuff down to fit the media and looking ( viewing ) GOOD. the best movie you ever saw on DVD is mpeg 2 ..... turned into vob in the making of the DVD by the software that makes the DVD.
all these things are different animals ...what you edit , what you deliver, etc ....

Changing brush size with keyboard?

is there a way to change the size of a brush, like that of the clone stamp without having to drag the slider in the property inspector, but instead with a keyboard short cut like you can do in Photoshop?

Changing Photobook Size

I am using Photoshop Elements 9 and want to change the size of a previously created Photo Book from 8x8 to 12X12. Does anyone know how this can be done?

Give this a try:
1 - select the book icon and type Command+D (duplicate).
2 - open the duplicate book, click on Themes and select what you want.
If the resulting book is not what you expected you can delete the duplicate and return to the original to try another method.

How do I change the font size in iCal? When I go to print the monthly calendar, it is so small I can't read it. But for the life of me I can't find where to change the size!

When I click on Page Setting in the Print module I get a pull-down menu that has options for Printer, Presets, Layout, Pages per Sheet, Layout Direction, Border, and Two Sides but there is no option available for changing paper size. This was not a problem before I updated to 1.2. How do I get that option back? Thanks.

Have you downloaded and installed the latest Driver for the Epson R1800.
It has been said that it is best, even if you have a ppc to download the latest IntelMac Driver to install for that printer, for best results.

How do I change text size in auto-page tabs

Now I'm trying to make the page tabs fit across my page. I've got several pages and will probably have more. I don't want all of them on the bar as they'll be linked in my text. I would also like to make the text smaller and maybe reformat to another font or style.
I don't find anything on this but maybe I'm not searching the right terminology.

You're referring to the navbar. You can remove any page from the navbar by going to the Inspector/Page/Page pane while viewing the page and unchecking the box to include that page in the navbar:

If you only have a couple of pages you can create your own text based navbar and complete control over the font, size, rollover color, etc. This demo page has an example: Text Based Navbar. Be sure to use Web Safe Fonts.

How Can I Change the Size of My Home Page So That It Fills the Screen?

I have a PowerBook G4. Up until a couple of weeks ago when I opened Safari the home page filled the screen. Something has happened and now it fills only a portion of the screen. I can move the page around, change the size slightly by using the green button next to the minimizing button, but nothing I do will enlarge it to fill the screen. I have gone to View and Preferences, but find nothing to resolve this. Please help!

What is happening when I change the size of the image in the program sequence window?

I noticed that I can change the image size of my exported file. I imported a 720 x 480 DV file into CS5.5. I went to my program sequence window and changed the settings to show the smallest image in that window. I then clicked on the image and used the handles that appear to make that small image large enough to nearly fill the screen. When I exported my final file and played the resulting WMV, the image on my screen was nearly twice as large as it would have been if I had not previously altered the image size in the program sequence window. I had to do this alteration for each clip in my timeline, or the unaltered ones would stay at the smaller size. The quality did not seem to be significantly impaired. I learned about this on a youtube video. The person who did the video claimed that this was a simple and quick way to upgrade standard video to HD. Of course this is not true. He was only changing the size of the resulting video. Does anyone know what is really happing when you do this procedure and why it changes the size of the exported video?

The size (resolution) of the exported video is not affected by anything you do while editing. It is dependant solely on the resolution set in the export settings.
Ideally you want to edit in an sequence that matches your media\, which will be the same size or larger than the required export. In other words, the same or smaller is OK. Making things bigger in post is not the best option. If you need things bigger, shoot them bigger.

I'm having troubles getting the size of a header text formatted into a different font size, I attach the code I'm using to get the work done.
At the end I get all I want from the report generation toolkit but the text size in the header and footer . Does Anyone have a clue?
Well the image is too small I'm getting an error when I try to post a bigger one. The thing is that the VI's used here to change the size are append report text.vi and format text.vi. The first one is used to insert text through bookmarks in the header and footer (it works just gereat) and the second one is intended to change the size of the inserted text (it doesn't work at all) I've already used shift registers in the for loop but I get the same results. The last VI is dispose report.vi

sorry for the waiting I had to clean the block diagram up and take into account some data security issues before I could post the information you asked me to. I have to tell you that I already came out with a patch for the issue nonetheless it is not the correct way to solve it and I would appretiate if you or anyone else could help me to do it right.
Here is what I changed:
In my code at the Initialize state (within the state machine) there is the New Report.vi I opened it to get also the new report SubVI.vi opened, afterwards I selected the NI_Word.lvclass: new report subvi.vi and opened it in its code yoou can easly see the double numeric constant value for the size of the text inserted as default. I just changed it from 12 to 8 to correct the formatting. As the outcome all the text inserted through the bookmarks have the default size (8 pts).
I attached the new version of my code with all the documents you will need. Please follow these steps:
1.-Open the project named Verifica Temperaturas 2010.lvproj
2.-Run the main vi named Maquina Etdos verifica reporte 2.vi
3.-Check the option Laboratorio de Refrigeradores:
4.-Click OK
5.-Complete the information as shown:
(For Selecciona Machote pick the word document named Document.doc attached in the .zip file. For the Selecciona Archivo de temperaturas pick the Estacion1_21-02-2012.txt file also attached in the .zip file)
6.-Press Siguiente
After completing the steps you'll see how the document in created. As expected the size of the text in the header is 8 pts.

Changing the size of a JComboBox

I am trying to build a mechanism to perform zooming on a JPanel with an arbitrary collection of components (including nested JPanels). I've tried a number of things with little success. The following is my most promising contraption. It can zoom labels, textfields, checkboxes, and buttons. However, for some reason, the combo box refuses to accept a changes to its size. I'm not sure why this is the case. Its font changes size appropriately.
Anyway, I'm running in JDK 1.4, and the following program lays out a palette of components. To change the size of the components, hit F1 to zoom in, and F2 to zoom out.

The LayoutManager will determine the bounds (size and location) of each component in the container based on the rules of the LayoutManager. The Flow Layout is the default layout manager for a panel and it simply uses the preferred size of the component as the size of the component.
So what happens is that when you change the font of the component you are changing the preferred size of the component.
So why doesn't the combo box work? Well I took a look at the preferred size calculation of the combo box (from the BasicComboBoxUI) and it actually caches the preferred size. The combo box uses a renderer, so the value is cached for performance one would assume. The method does recalculate the size when certain properties change. Note the isDisplaySizeDirty flag used in the code below:
