Change stock account
Hi,
we have an account (114410) which is "National compenent". It is a stock account and we need to include some information in the text fields to some cleared postings.
FB02 did not work.

Hi,
If u want to change in Master then do it in FS00. if u want to do it only in that document then you can do it in FB02 only. Make sure that Prerequisite for document change is given.

Hello,
they changed a stock account in OBYC (same valuation class).
This means that some of the stock receipts happened on account X, while the goods issues now are being posted to account Y.
Account Y now has a negative balance.
Is there some trick (like for the changed reconciliation accounts) that transfers the balance from X to Y?

It is not recomended to change the GL in OBYC for a existing valuation, If transactions already posted to related material.
Best way is Create new valuation class with desired GL assignment. post (Transfer) the material stock to an intrim account or dummy material code, close all open PO / PR for that material. and than chnage the valuation class in material master.
After change of valuation class, re-post the Material stock from intrim account/ dummy material to its original material.
But , After change in valuation class you cannot post any transaction to that material in prior date.
Hope this will clear your doubt.

Clearing of Change in Stock Account at the time of GR for Subcontracting
Dear,
We have created a PO with Item Category "L" for subcontracting.
At the time or GR system has posted below accounting entries:
GR/IR clearing account 500 -
External service account 500 +
Stock account: end product 950 +
Change involving stocks 950 -
Stock account: comp. 450 - (components cost)
Consumption account 450 +
I want to know how to clear Change in Stock Account.
Please advise.

What are the main differences between "Change in Stock Account" and "Price Difference Account" ?

Change in stock is triggered when goods are delivered to stock (Fg location) thru movement type 101 - GR for an order.
During PGI - entry posted is
COGS - Dr
FG Inventory - Cr

Hi,
At the time of Production receipt, we will debit the FG Inventory and credit the Change in Stock A/C and at the time of delivering the Finished goods to the Customer we will debit to Change in Stock and Credit to FG Inventory A/C ( Simply reverse the entry).
Here I want to know what is Change in stock account and when is the Cost of goods sold A/C effected.

How did you determine the system is picking the moving average price in some cases at which period you are analysing.
Costing run is not being done you have mentioned then the standard price is same in every period.

this is P& L account and this account is - credit ie it goes in income side.
and its correct its not expense its income at credit entries goes in it and its P& L account.
or u can explane is other words like u are geting the inventory of finish goods is increased so its income to company and its a credit entry so it should go to right side of P&L that is income side, so its income account.

In Sub-Contracting you need to do Transfer posting first using MB1B. Here you will issue your goods to vendor, but no accounting document gets generated
Then your stock balance using t-code MMBE. It will show that stock with vendor the subcontacted material
At the time of Good Receipt from Subcontractor. following accounting entery gets generted

To GR/IR ac
Counsumption of RM--Dr
To Inventory RM ac
Inventory Ac---Dr
To GR/IR ac..

I have found in the MB Report Discrepancy for Material and Stock Account Currency. Why is this happening? Why is there a variance between total price in materials and stock account? Anyone please help me. I'm abaper but now been pushed to do logistic. I need help for this issue.

Here's some information from help. Variances can occur for the following reasons:
You have entered postings to the stock account manually.
The stock account includes not only stock postings, but also other postings. In this case, you should check the account determination in the Customizing for Valuation and Account Assignment. Make sure that the stock accounts are used solely for the transaction key BSX (stock postings).
Check Account Determination - OMWB
The account assignment for the stock accounts (transaction key BSX) was changed during productive operation; the respective stocks, however, were not deducted from the old account (movement type 562) and posted to the new one (movement type 561).

If we purchase without any account assignment mean the material goes to stock account base on their material type whereas If we use E the material account goes to consumption account,how to divert the account from going consumption to Stock account. in the trsaction key BSX.
But know you are saying that you are using a account assignment category E.
Which says cleary that it has to a Sales order comsuption account.
KNow the question is wheter the you are able to See the Stock in MB52 under Special stock indicator E
or after GRN it is going to the consumption directly.

How to change GL account in A/P Invoice?
Hi All,
While crreating A/P invoice, how can i change the g/l account? I have checked in the form settings and the form is active and visible. But when i try to click on it, it does not work!!
Also, if i change the gl in grpo, the je that is passed is incorrect!! I also tried to set the gl through form settings but it just does not work.
Can anyone please tell me how this can be done.?
I am using SAP B1 2005B, PL34.

this would entail changing the control account on the item group level every time the item enters stock. I would not recommend to do that, it's far too error prone.
Within the structure of how the core application works, I honestly do not see another workaround but to create another itemcode with a different account determination. You might be able to interleave the 2 items as alternative items to one another.
You could explore whether there was a way to set up an sdk solution that triggers an automatic journal to be posted from the local procurement item stock account to the imported item stock account which could be initiated if the BP in the document is a particular code.
In a nutshell:
Item x is received from foreign vendor ABC
AP invoice creates JE where stock increase is posted to 'local' stock account.
SDK sees that vendor is ABC & automatically creates a journal entry that takes the amount from the 'local' stock account & posts it to the 'foreign' stock account.

Integration FI-MM ( consignment stock) - Accounting entries & Movement type
I want to understand the integration of FI & MM from consignment stock account.
Scenario
In Tcode OBYC what pre-requisite are required.
1. In which transaction ( BSX) where Finished good stock Account (Balance sheet Account) in maintained.
2 In which transaction (????) consignment stock GL is menetioned.
3 In which transaction (KON) change in consignment stock account ( P&L Account) is created.
4 In transaction (GBB) maintenance of cost of good sold account (P&L account) is required with account group
Suppose i have 10000 Inr worth of finished stock. We issue goods of 4000 inr worth to consignee & incurring 1000 packing charges.
The consignee sells 2000 inr worth to final customer & The consignor should be paid commison 10% & 5% charges for maintaining stock.
Ten consignee returns 2000 inr worth of goods
Please tell what accounting enteries will be passed along with movement types.FI-MM: The integration between FI-MM happens in T-code OBYC.
1. When PO is created :
No Entry -
2. When GR is posted
Inventory Account dr (Transaction Key BSX in OBYC)
To GRIR account (T.Key WRX in T-code OBYC)
3. When Invoice is posted

Points to know : Movement Types, Assignment of Movement types to T-keys (T-code OMJJ), Value string (I also need some information on this) , OMWN and OMWB transactions.
There is a close integration b/w FI & MM, actually document flows from MM to FI in the following areas such as,
1. Movement Types:
Used to enable the system to find the predefined posting rules determining how the accounts of financial accounting system are to be posted & to update the stock fields in the matrl master data.(Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, etc)
2. Valuation Class:
Assignment of material to grp of gl account, used to determine the gl accounts that are updated as a result of goods movement.
3. Transaction/Event key:
Used to control the storage or filing of documents & assignment of documents.Used to differeniate b/w various transactions such as goods movement tht occur in inventory.
4. Material Type:
Each material should assign mtrl type in mtrl master record used to update whether changes made in qty are updated in material master record & change in value also updated in stock account. -
Change GL account for valuation classes
This is vasanth . my client has different 5 plants . he wants to change gl account for valuation class.because the reason is (rawmaterial of steel&cement is being stored in spares and stores). The g/l account is 23010001 . This gl account has been assingned 13 valuation class . the valuation classes for steels&cement r 3040.3080 and 3090.
but the valuation area is defined at plant .there r 5 valuation areas . valuation class for all areas r 3040,3080 and 3090.
g/l account is also same.
is it advisable to change the g/l account.

as per u 1:1 relation of valuation class and g/l account 203010001 ok. but gl account 203010001 has beeen assigned to 13 valuation class .13 valuation class has more than 500 material masters. but that valuation class 3040,3070,3080 r relates to the steels as well as cement. present my client using the 20301001g/l account for all spares aswell as stells and cement. i am sending my client require ment.

In previous sap b1 version ,in purchase document rows of item type -- system allows to change the gl account in rows.
But in current 8.8 it is missing ,can any one know how to activate this or is there any logical reason to lock this.

In some older version this was possible. This was changed as this is the stock account to avoid usage of incorrect account and valuation report issues.
If you want a specific stock account for the item change you can define that on the item master data. Set it to Item Level and then change the GL account.

Just check all the orders whose GR is done, there LIV also done, for the scenario where this key will be utilized,
BSV - change in stock account, this will hit in subcontracting process. When you do GR against 101 mvt type this BSV will get credit, BSV is the balancing account to BSX for Finished goods, this amount goes to P&L accounts
GBB - Most of the time this will be 0, because it is for offsetting entries, check there is no balance in this GL,
If you want create OBYC for this 2 for some new valuation class then i do not think you need to look at cutover
