Change storage type. Please

Hi Guys,
We are using storage type search
3 storage types are defined for the storage type indicator 001.
In WM we have over 20 different storage types.
The sorage type search works fine, it means that one of the 3
defined storage types is beeing found.
I know that the found storage type is meant as a proposal and that the user can change storage type/section/bin during processing of the transfer order (it means to select another of the restly 17 storage types defined in WM).
From business we got the requirement to avoid limit the change of the storage type and section (it means that the user should only be able to select one of the 3 storage types defined in the storage type search) , but still allow the change of the storage bin during manually processing of the TO.
The function "allow destination bin change" allows or avoids the entry of all 3 fields "storage type/storage section/storage bin". As we want onlz the bin to be changed, this functionality doesn't meet our requirement.
Do you know some options to achieve this ?

Hi
Go to transaction CMOd and create a project there and activate it
then find the user exits there for transaction CO01.
you will find it there.
Or go to SE84 and look for enhancement there.

I thought this would be easily solved with a few searches.. but no...
I'm trying to do some testing in a development box but i needed inventory to consume. So I did a 561 for god-awlful amount of stock so I don't have to do this again.
My problem is that the plant is WM managed. After the posting in IM I checked in LS26 and my stock is showing in storage type 998. I need it to be in storage type 108. I was able to get to a TO number in LS26. It has been confirmed.
What transaction can I use to change the storage type and what transactional data would I need.
I've searched using the following parameters
- SAP WM "How to" change storage type
- SAP WM 561
And several variations of the above.

Ok.. I was in that screen earlier but had trouble with it. Went back to it again and finally got it! The key was to use 999 movement. I wasn't sure what to use there.

SAP Warehouse Management change Storage Type Bin type while creating TO

My requirement is to find an exits which allow us to change the Destination Storage Bin and storage type when creating Transfer orders through Inbound Deliveries.
I have tried using "MWMTO003", "MWMTO004". But the problem here is that none of the funtion exits have both storage type and bin as exporting parameters.
The exit "EXIT_SAPLL03A_001" has Destination bin (LTAP-NLPLA) as a changing parameter but not Destination storage type.
I have activated the check box to trigger User exits using SPRO->LE->WhM->Master Data->Define Storage Type and Activate.
I got a BADI "LE_WM_STORAGETYPE_HU" with both Storage bin and type as changing parameters but then when I activate it and put a break point. My control never stops there.
Kindly Suggest what is the correct User Exit required for this?
Do i need two User Exits to change Storage Type and Storage Bin?
Kindly provide how to approach.

I managed to change the casetype now by
1) Changing the corresponding SCMG_T_CASE_ATTR entry
2) Changing the record model POID in the XML file of the case, by manually parsing and replacing the XML
Still wondering if this is a valid approach, or if I've overlooked something...

Change storage type during putaway

Hi,
I know it is possible to change the destination bin during putaway.
I set it in storage type and it works.
Is it possible to change also the storage type during putaway by SU (LM02) ?

Change storage type in transfer order

For next empty bin strategy, the transfer order proposes next empty bin in a given storage type. Via tx LT1E , it is possible to change a storage bin and quantity in the transfer order and confirm the same.
However, Our requirement is to change the storage type & storage bin in a transfer order already created. Is there any user exit or programme we can modify to do the same

Change material Type - 'MMA'

I am trying to Change Material Type using T-code - 'MMAM'.But Message is coming PO already exist.
Problem is tat we have already created GIN for the PO & Reversed the GIN also,but still PO is not getting release to Change any data.It is giving error,that GIN already exist.
I want to Change the MAterial Type.How can i do that.??

Please note that both the new material type and the old material type must have the
same characteristics eg. quantity based material management is one of
the characteristic. The R/3 Online Help provides a very good explanation
on all the pre-requisites before you can change a material type.
(Logistics Gen>Logistics Basic Data > LO Managing Material Master Data >
Material Master Record > Material Type > Change Material Type)
Please check if you have set the deletion flag for any PO's as
these need to be physically deleted for MMAM to work. You will also
need to check if there are ANY open items for this order. The purchase
orders need to be ARCHIVED. You should complete the invoice receipt for
this position BEFORE you set the deletion flag in the purchase order.
Also, if the material is already in stock, or if reservations or
purchasing documents exist for it, the following conditions must also be
met:
>The stock values of the material of the new material type must be
updated in the same G/L account as the stock values of the material of
the old material type.
>Quantities and values of the material of the new material type must be
updated in exactly the same way in all plants as quantities and values
of the material of the old material type.
>If there is a transfer requirement for the material and if quantities
of the material exist, the new material type must also allow the
material data to be maintained from the Warehouse Management view.

Change step type

I recently inherited a TestStand project that needs changing. My main question is how to change a step type. For instance,
sequence 1
   step 1 (p/f) that programs 1 field in a device,
   step 2 (p/f) that verifies field 1 in the device.
sequence 2
   other actions
sequence 3
   step 1 (p/f) further programs 8 fields in the device.
   step 2 (p/f) verify the 8 fields.
I would like to save the results of sequence 1, step 2 in a non-station global, then verify all 9 fields in step 2 of sequence 3. So I am guessing I should make sequence 1 step 2 an action vi instead of a p/f step and save the result in a global or maybe I can just uncheck the collection flag.

Is IT_FKKMAVS part of the same transport request or was it sent already earlier?
You may have a look at the request if it was OK. Probably not.
Maybe in the meantime more requests reached the system that now have in combination solved the problem. What is your release and support package level?
Higher versions of BRFplus have a lot of automatic correction mechanisms built into it.
E.g. problematic imports are collected in an import queue. As soon as a request comes in that fixes any problems the after import processing for faulty imports is automatically redone.

Change in Transfer Order for Storage Type & bin

Hi,
I want to change destination bin change during TO Creation. Steps are given below.
a) SPRO : Storage type setting: Two options are t there in stock placement section
                 Storage bin cannot be changed during confirmation
1     Storage bin can be changed during confirmation
I set it to 1.
b) LT06 : TO Created.
c) LT12: TO Confirmation: TO lines are coming grayed out. We can not change Destination storage bin, storage type , and section.
Could you please advice me how to change TO Bins change during confirmation.
Clients requirement: System will pick bin automatically. Print will be taken for this. Once placement is done & some of material are not kept as per TO Bin number. its a different bin,. Now User want to change bin number during TO Confirmation.

Hi Gupta,
In WM customizing - master data - storage type - in the detail data of
the relevant destination storage type you set the flag
'Dst bin ch. during confirm.' from space to 1. Then the destination
storage bin "in general" can be changed at confirmation time.
Additionally you need to setup for the movement types that you are using
that you work with the new confirmation list, see detail of the movement
types, box screen control. (Try changing this setting to '1').
Please also read in the R/3 library - logistics - logistics execution -
warehouse management - warehouse movements - transfer orders - transfer
order confirmation - confirming transfer orders.
Here it is described when the destination bin can't be changed even
with the correct customizing settings.
If you set the indicator for Destination bin change during confirmation
for the desired storage type in Customizing for Warehouse Management
under Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Master Data ->
Define Storage Type, you will be able to change the destination bin when
confirming a transfer order if, for example, the destination bin
proposed by the system is damaged.
NO destination bin can be entered during confirmation for:
- dynamic coordinates
- return items
- Lean WM (if the destination bin is defined in the movement type)
- posting change TOs
- inventory based on putaway
- additions to existing stock in storage units
- transaction Confirm single item
Please check if your TO is related to one of these cases !!!

Storage Type change in the transfer order after creation with MDE

Hello ,
With the MDE transaction ZMDETSP the transfer between storage locations is done and the transfer order created in the background.
I would like to know if in standard SAP the modification of the storage type is possible after the TO is created therefore also in MDE.
I changed the bin with LT1D but impossible for the storage type.
I know, user exits BUT there must be other solutions, no ?!!

You have to do the configuration to change the storage type in TO.
IMG>LE>WM>Strategies>Activate storage type search , Here you have to give both the storage type.
Also you need to change the storage type at the time of TO creation not duirn confirmation

Sequence change of storage type in TO

Hi Experts,
My client requires to pick the materials in descending order like:
I have a outbound delivery with number of materials which belong to different storage types.
suppose one material belong to 005 stor type, another mat belong to 003 stor type & another mat belong to 001 stor type.
At present for such deliveries system is picking items sequencially means first 001, 003 & 005.
My client wants make the system to pick the items belong to highest number first and the lowest last like: Pick 005, 003 & 001.
Can any expert advise me to how to do that.

In SPRO, go to Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Activities -> Transfers -> Processing Performance Data / TO Split.
In Define Profiles: -
For Sort profile for TO splitting, create a profile for the warehouse to be sorted by storage type. There's a check box which appears against the sort field. This is to sort the items in the descending order of the sort field. Check this box.
For Profile for Transfer Order Splitting, create a split profile to include the above sort profile.
In Control for Performance Data Processing / Define TO Split: -
For Performance data control, for a given source and destination storage type and movement, enter the above TO split profile.
This setting will not split the TO (if no split criteria specified), but sort the items in the TO as per the sort profile.

Erorr while changing storage location in VL02N

Guyz,
Firstly despite the plant+storage location + warehouse no. assignments are done , my replenishment delivery (delivery for stock transport order between plants under same company code) is not picking up storage location and warehouse no and thus stopping me from doing picking and PGI (post goods issue).
However in VL02N when i'm trying to change storage location for line item, i'm getting following weird error
*Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 647/ / / /L/ /*
I found a SAP Note(133223) regarding this error and VL02 transaction but that note was specific to older versions. I'm on ECC 6.0
Any suggestions please ?

soumya - I did assign the picking location for my combination. However I noted, if i do this bit, i'm not able to create replenishment delivery from vl10b and erroring with below error. If i remove this assignment, i am able to create the delivery but delivery does not have storage loation. when i tried to change the storage loation in vl02n, i'm getting same below error ...
Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 647/ / / /L/ /
Sivanand - Wheni do transfer order, its complaining that storage location is empty when i try to change storage location, as mentioned above, i 'm getting above error....

I DID CREATE THE 647 MOVEMENT TYPE ASWELL BUT I'M GETTING SAME ERROR ... Can anyone suggest what control information should go when creating 647 mvt type.....?

I am doing random storage replenishment process for a Low rack location. The replenishment gets triggered from high rack to low rack.
The low rack storage type is defined as next empty bin as putaway strategy and the storage type contains multiple bins in each section.
There is process change and I want to place multiple SUs in one bin , I want to use the putaway strategy as 'C' open storage
and mixed storage allowed with SUT check and SU management active . It is working fine as expected in terms of triggering replenishment
and storing multiple SUs in 1 bin.My concern is that as a rule open storage should contain only one storage bin for section.But in my design , each section contains
multiple storage bins. Does is really hurt in any form? What are consequences? Please suggest.

You are right. Normally it does not hurt, but what you are doing with the new process change contradicts your original design. Can you explain why you had storage sections in the area in the original design? Did you segregate SKU's by product families/fast movers etc....and now you dont have that requirement anymore or your SKU management has changed?

Processed TRs to be deleted from LB10(display TRs list for a storage type)

Is it possible to delete already processed transfer requirements for a storage type in Transaction LB10?

Use LB02 as below:
Choose Logistics ® Logistics Execution ® Internal Warehouse Processes ® Transfer Requirement ® Change from the SAP menu.
Enter the warehouse number and the transfer requirement number. You can also enter the number of the item you want to delete.
From the initial screen, you have several options.
- To delete a transfer requirement, access the header screen by selecting Header. Then choose Transfer Requirement ® Delete from the Change Header menu bar.
- To delete one or more transfer requirement items, choose List of changes to access the screen where all the items are listed.
Choose Enter.
The system displays a list of all transfer requirement items.
- Select the items that you want to delete in the D column. To delete the items, choose Enter.
- You can also access a list of all transfer requirement items by choosing Item overview. Select the item to be deleted (for example, by moving the cursor to the item) from the list and choose Edit ® Delete item from the menu bar.
Regardless of the option you have chosen, the system displays a confirmation window.
To confirm the deletion, choose Yes.
If you have selected several items, the system displays a confirmation window for each item.
If the item is the only one in the transfer requirement, the system displays another window in which you confirm that you want to delete the transfer requirement
