Change system font in addressbook

Does any know how to change/darken the font in addressbook? not what we input, but the "Main" or "Homepage" or "Work"

Yes, but this is a universal access issue, my client has extremely bad eyes. and voice over is not for him... in fact he hates voice over.
I was hoping someone might have a way to modify the font/color or at least tell me what directory to look in.

I have been always a lover of dark backgrounds with light color fonts because it's much better for reading, at least for me.
1) Is there any way to change the way the system fonts color is displayed? I could change the background color using the options of the finder to a background gray color of 333333, but cannot change the font color to something around white, in order to get a better contrast between background and text.
2) It's possible to do the same in text editors?

Hi,
Happens in the finder that the fonts are black, and I would like to change the font color from black (default) to white. If you take a look to the new Snow Leopard, you will notice that some texts are white over a dark gray background. That's aesthetically super cool, and much better for reading. Here is an snapshot of this thing: http://www.zone-numerique.com/uploads/News/090216/capturesnow_leopard_dock450.jpg You can see how good is the contrast with white over dark gray. I would love to have the whole OS set this way, instead white & light gray (default).

Not to my knowledge. One way of changing the size of the text is to alter the resolution. Admittedly it's a less than perfect solution but many on here seem to manage with it.
System Preferences>Displays - click on Scaled and select another resolution.

I want to change fonts but get message "no available system font"

I am trying to edit a PDF flyer created by another party. Using Acrobat Pro on Mac OSX. I select "edit document text" and then try to delete or change the text and get the message. "all or part of the selection has no available system font You cannot add or delete text using the currently selected font"
I don't see any font format bar or other method of changing the font.
Is there a way to work this?

How can you change the font size in the application and system headers? I searched the system and finder prefs to no avail. Changing the screen density is not a good option.

I downloaded Tinkertool. Found the font section and increased the size of most selections. The only thing that changed that I can see is the window label. The apple line, bookmarks line, the tool bar in safari are all the same---font size of about 4. Found the finder "show view options" but that didn't seem to change anything either. I'll keep working. Restarted all apps after changes as well.

Just a got a new Macbook pro. Love it but can't figure out how to change the font size for the whole system. I can adjust the content of specific windows but I can't seem to change the size of text in the address bar, tool bar, menu bar, etc. Everything is way too small on this big beautiful screen!

NoSquint and Theme Font & Size Changer
NoSquint will remmeber your zoom setings per website and Theme Font will change the size of the menu type itself
Firefox is a highly customizable browser, the menu area can be themed with a persona picture, which is the blue and white type you see.
A lot easier and softer on the eyes than Safari's black and grey (less depressing too)

The only option I know of is to scale the display.
System Preferences > Displays > Display ( Tab ) > Change Resolution: To Scaled > Select Larger Text.
Are you on Yosemite? I do not show any entry to select larger text. I can change the resolution to scaled, but that changes the entire resolution when I only want to change the text, preferably without adding any third party software.

No, but you can make some desktop/folder fonts larger in Finder > View > View Options. Or, in order to make everything larger, go to System Preferences > Displays and change the resolution (take it down a notch) - less crisp, but everything will be a bit larger. If you don't like it, simply revert to the default.

Hello,
This may take a bit to explain my problem, sorry in advance. I have a mixed network environment of Windows 7 Professional (x64) and Windows XP Pro SP3 (x32), and all of them have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard, with the Adobe PDF Printer.
My problem is that ALL of these systems have a serious, game-killing problem with the Adobe PDF printer setting, "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts". If that option is enabled (or if the option with the same name under Printer Defaults is enabled), then printing in our ERP software dies. (We use Microsoft Dynamics GP). Users get an error "Unable to stop printing", and believe me it took a WHILE before I figured out that the Adobe PDF setting was to blame! This happens even if my users are printing to physical paper, and not touching the PDF printer at all. In other software we sometimes get the annoying popup message from Adobe PDF saying that we need to uncheck the "Rely on system fonts..." setting as well. In short, I HAVE to keep that option turned off for all of my users.
Unfortunately, every time there's a major Adobe update the option returns (GRRRR!), in both the Printer Preferences menu and the Printer Defaults menu. I'm trying to change the option via a group policy administrative template, but I don't know which registry settings to modify - it seems like this option exists in SEVERAL places, here are the ones I've found so far:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Printers\Adobe PDF\PrinterDriverData\DistillerHostFontHasMostFonts

- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\DevModePerUser\Adobe PDF\Adobe PDF (And this one I honestly have no idea how to edit a huge string like that.)
For the first four registry values, when I change DistillerHostFontHasMostFonts to 0 via a template... the checkbox isn't visually cleared in the GUI. *face palm* I'm a bit desperate - how is an admin supposed to change this option across a company network besides manually?

And, as a demonstration that this is a REAL and DOCUMENTED Microsoft bug, here's the text of the Dynamics GP KB article:
It would be nice if somebody from Adobe had an answer other than "yeah you shouldn't disable that feature, for vague reasons of our own that we won't tell you." Microsoft clearly believes it MUST be disabled! I don't have an option there, or my company's ERP software doesn't work.
SYMPTOMS
When you try to send a report as a .pdf file to an e-mail recipient from Microsoft Dynamics GP and from Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains, you receive the following error message:When you create a PostScript file you have to send the host fonts. In most situations, this problem is caused by system locale is changed to other countries from United States, such as Chinese, French, etc. Because of this change, the code page and font of Windows PowerShell console might be changed with system locale.
For Example, if change system locale to Chinese (Simplified China), Windows PowerShell console
(%systemdrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System Tools) properties would be changed like this:

To resolve this problem, please follow the steps below:
Access to the path below to find the shortcut of Windows PowerShell:
%systemdrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System Tools.
Right click Windows PowerShell and choose Properties.
Switch to Options, check if Current code page list there, if that it is, choose
437 (OEM-United States) and click Apply. Maybe you will encounter an
Access Deniedpop-up as the following picture. Then you need take ownership of current PowerShell File, switch to
Security Tab and obtain full control permission for current User Account.
Note: if Current code page was not list there, just leave alone
Options settings and switch to Font Tab.
Switch to Font Tab, choose the font you wished to use, click
Apply.
After the above settings, current Windows PowerShell console font should works as you wished.

This issue is due to the bootmgr file, we cannot use the bootmgr file of Windows 7 to find the Windows 8 Operating System files.
The Windows 7 bootmgr can indeed boot Windows 8.

The Windows 8 bootmgr partially loads Windows 8 before offering the boot menu. By choosing Windows 7, the system must do a reboot. Using the Windows 7 bootmgr, no reboot is required.

I created a theme of mine and changed the portal body colour to a dark shade. The porblem i am facing is..whn i click on the "Logout" button of the portal,it displays a popupbox saying "Are you sure you want to logg off?"...i want to change the font color to white as it is black in clour and not reaadable in the dark background colour.......can somebody help me in this ..

First solution is customizing logoffConfirmMsg.jsp (com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par) for your personal needs, but some coding is required.
Second solution:
1. adjust the color property of class .ctrlTxtStd in ctr_ie6.css and/or ctrl_nn7.css files from your theme:

            color:#ffffff;
            font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
            font-size:0.7em;
            font-style:normal;
            font-weight:normal;
2. If you edit css files directly on portal's file system, the restart of portal will be required.
3.After portal or your theme updates repeat steps 1 and 2.
