I signed up for a test account of Adobe Creative Cloud. I liked what I could test 30 days long, So I told my boss to buy an account for me. He registered antoher Adobe ID and bought the Adobe Creative Cloud. I then changed the Adobe ID in the Applications manager and deinstalled all programs and reinstalled them. But it doesn't work, it says all the time that my 30 days for PS are over and I have to activate it before I can use it again. What could I do to activate the Creative Cloud?

Metanet Worker do you have any other versions of the Creative Suite installed on your Windows 7 computer? If not then I would recommend removing all CS6 applications and then moving the following folders to your desktop.
\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD\
\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\caps\
You should then be able to reinstall and license the software successfully. If you do have older versions of the Creative Suite installed then you will want to remove those versions as well as these folders contain the licensing information for the applications. It is likely you ran into a permission issue when trying to uninstall and reinstall previously.
Also for another item of note I would recommend always backing up your registry in the Registry Editor prior to using any type of Registry Cleaner. This helps ensure you can recover from any cleaning which the utility may have done.

How do I change the Adobe Reader Online Word Look Up Dictionary?

When I select and right-click a word in a PDF file in Reader, it pops-up a menu with a Look Up Word option. Upon clicking it, I am taken to dictionary.com website. I want to change this to OED, because I have an account with them. Moreover, I often study old texts with words that are not mentioned on the default site. I have searched high and low, but couldn't find a solution. There must be a way to change it to some other on-line service or off-line program.
P.S: If there is no way to do it, I strongly propose Adobe to include this feature in future updates/releases. Trust me, there are thousands out there who absolutely need it.

Change the Adobe ID saved by the Adobe CC client?

I've just bought a one-year subscription for Adobe CC. Registration worked fine, but the problem is that another Adobe ID was used on my PC before that has not been activated. This may seem a slightly silly question, but every time I open my local CC client, it just prompts me to activate the other Adobe ID and I can't find a way to log in via the Adobe ID I bought my CC subscription with. (And even though I have access to the mail address the former Adobe ID was registered on, re-sending the confirmation mail doesn't work, so I can't just try to log in with the old Adobe ID and see if I can change the log-in data after signing in).
Re-installing the CC client doesn't help, so am I not seeing the wood for the trees or is the procedure of signing in with another Adobe ID intentionally harder than it ought to be from my point of view? I figure deleting the registry entries for the CC client (I'm using Windows 8) will probably do the trick, but does anybody know where exactly to find the relevant entries to the Windows registry?

There is no way to access a menu point called "Not my ID", as the CC client doesn't even manage to log on to the preset account. However, when using a different Windows user account on my PC, I can freely choose the Adobe ID I want to log in with. Obviously, the log in information is saved somewhere in my user specific data, so if I would find the place where it is stored that would probably solve my problem. Does anybody know where the CC client saves its log in information? I've tried running the CC Cleaner Tool, but that hasn't shown any effect.

I am new to applescripting and it's usage in Adobe Indesign.
I am trying to working on a requirement, where I need to make the language of Indesign document to "English: USA" in the dictionary preferences.
I tried to change the language in the preferences but somewhere this code is going wrong.
Any help and suggestions would be very helpful.

However, can we change the "Adobe Custom Dictionary" through apple script so that language of dictionary preferences gets changed. (if that happens).
I noticed that when we go to path:
Indesign---->Preferences---> Dictionary
The default dictionary has a path in our system library.. (I am still a learner so it's a new thing for me.. )..
The path changes from UK to US dictionary as:
'~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Linguistics/Dictionaries/Adobe Custom Dictionary/brt--------------> For UK DICTIONARY
'~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Linguistics/Dictionaries/Adobe Custom Dictionary/eng--------------> For US DICTIONARY
Is it possible that by changing the path we can change the default dictionary in preferences of AppleScript through scripting in Apple.

I need to change the default email address that gets sent from Firefox.

When sending emails from an important web app (Highrise) for my business, it defaults to my home email, when my default in Outlook is clearly my work email. I believe this is the fault of Firefox, since every app (Highrise and Outlook) has my default as [email protected], but when sending an email it goes to [email protected] Any ideas?

Could you be more specific about the steps you are taking to change the Adobe ID? I was able to change one of my accounts to a .ca email address without issue. Also, information on Browser version and OS may be helpful. I am assuming that you are doing this in a Browser and not the FormsCentral AIR application, is this correct?

hi,
we have 50-60 licences of creative suite 6 master collection installed (TLP-licence). some are manually installed, most of them with adobe packager. the tlp-licence is used with the adobe-id of a colleague.
now we want to change the adobe-id to a generic email-address from us (e.g. support@). that should be possible, but our fear is, that every installed version of creative suite needs afterwards the new adobe-id and password.
is this correct?
and if yes, is there a way to deploy the new adobe-id & password to alle workstations? we have casper and apple remote desktop, if necessary.

You can change the Adobe ID and this will not make any difference on your existing Machine.

Sync with iTunes so you have a backup. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings. Restore the unit as New. Reconfigure for your new ID and password. Restore your apps, etc. from backup.

Changing the order for printing portfolio files in adobe acrobat 9 pro

Does anyone know how to change the order for printing pdf files that are part of a portfolio in adobe acrobat 9 pro? The documentation seems to say that it prints files alphabetically by filename rather than by the internal sort order. This won't work for me. Any ideas? Thanks.

For sideloaded content the nook pulls the metadata from ePub file itself. I would suggest looking at a program like Sigil or Calibre that will let you edit the metadata in the book to make it appear like you want.
For the PDF vs ePub - No, that's the way PDFs work (think of them as graphics, not text), wheres ePubs are Web Pages - so no you can't them to behave exactly alike without converting the files.

Adobe Reader for iOS doesn't set the default email address when you email a PDF.
It's found in the Settings app:
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Mail > Default Account

Most forms (99% or more) are created for simple text input, where you cannot change anything.
The creator of the form could allow Rich Text input (which allows you to change font, text size, color, etc.), but frankly I have never seen such a form, and I wouldn't know how they look. But I'm sure they would show some kind of controls to alter the text appearance.

Yes, that appears how Mavericks works right now. However, you can open the Address Panel, select all your contacts, then click the To (or CC, or Bcc) buttons to move the selection to the address field.
If it is not already in the Toolbar, right-click on the Toolbar and select Customize Toolbar…
Then, drag the address panel up to wherever you want it.
You may also want to add it to the New Message window in the same way.

I went into the PC settings and tried to change the display resolution. This changes the size of all the icons (not only Adobe) but it does not solve the problem when I open an Adobe application (Photoshop or Illustrator)... The PC is run under Windows 8.1 and my display resolution is 3200x1800 (but again, when I change the settings for a smaller resolution, only the size of the icons is affected. Once I open the software, the problem is still there, extra-small toolbars...). Help!!!

Anything before CC is not high-DPI compatible. Feel free to continue to experiment with your system settings.
