Change the app list screen on Windows 8 mobile

I've got a lumia 820, and all of a sudden the app screen list has the apps listed underneath their starting letter. so there's an 'a' with some apps below it, then a 'b' with those apps beneath, and so on. how do i get rid of these letters so my apps are just in one long list? or does the phone automatically do this once you've got a certain amount of apps, and it can't be changed?

Once you need to open Settings a few times on a 60+ app list you'll appreciate tapping a letter>tapping S and opening settings..
And yes, I know you can pin it to the startscreen, I am just making a point here..

In between, I got a messge about verifying my payment method. When I tried to submit the details, I kept getting a mmessage stating that my payment method was declined (my card is not near it's expiration date, and works fine).

Hi thanks for the encouragement. It's not that the severs are "swamped", iOS 7 has been successfully installed.
I can't access the apps list in iTunes because it *****
down. Its pretty frustrating because many of my apps require me to manually transfer files into iTunes first to view
them. Not sure if the servers being swamped is an issue for me, unless they release a bug fix through another version of iTunes.
Has anyone else had this problem? My iPad is pretty useless unless I can access my app list in iTunes....

Blurry screen at the app store on iTunes windows pc

Ok people who else has a blurry screen at the app store on iTunes windows pc when I stop my mouse to read a app name it make the big top icon clear and blurs all the others make me feel sick trying to read it

I contacted Apple Support & they told be to remove ALL Apple softward on my pc & then reinstall iTunes.
This worked perfectly.
Be sure to uninstall all Apple software (Quicktime, Bonjour, Update software - the works).

How can I change the apps/features shown on my desktop cradle screen?

I have the desktop cradle, which brings upa special horizontal display that shows the time...and along the bottom shows 4-5 apps like Alarm, Daily Briefing, Voice Speech (or something), Music, etc.
I'd like to change the apps/features shown there. The settings for desktop view are limited to date and time and something else not related to those icons/apps.
Does anyone know if/how I can change those to the ones I want?

Apparently, that third-party provider (for the desktop cradle app) has plans to make it more customizable, but you cant do it yet
OTOH, there is supposedly another app that allows you to do it, 'Lo Cal.' But it costs $10.

How to change the apps menu?

This is a really trivial question compared but for some strange reason the app menu that you get when you swipe right in the main menu, started showing these search letters as dividers in the app list. I think they are a horrible waste of screen space but I can't find any menu where to actually change anything.
The dividers are similar as in the phonebook but they are actually useful there since I have about 300 contacts there and only a few apps.

The letters appear when you excede a certain number of installed apps, I find them very useful as it takes me straight to youtube for example , without having to scroll through a very long list. the only way to remove them is to reduce the number of apps you have installed, it's the way the system works. Once you have a few more apps, and you will, you will find it vey useful. Or simply pin everything you use to your homescreen and scroll up and down the tiles ?

Hi Chris,
The only way that I know of to change the colour of the window headings, these,
is in the System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing > Display and change the White on Black settings, using grey scale in there to helps, but it also opens a hole lot of other issues as it reverses all colours throughout the system. You can switch it back and forth as shown on this setup screen.
Other than that, maybe changing the screen resolution so that all items are larger or zooming the screen when you require it by holding the Control button and scrolling the mouse or two finger scroll on the trackpad.
There may be, of course, a third party app that changes the colours by searching google.

After updating iOS to 6.1 in my iPhone 4s, while tapping 'Updates' in App Store, it is not showing the Apps list, though over the icon it is showing that 11 Apps has got Updates available.

you have to go on settings-->itunes&app stores-->apple ID and sign out.
after this restart your device:
Reset the iPhone by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home buttonat the bottom center of the face at the same time.
Hold them both until you see the screen go black. In some cases, you may need to keep holding them even after the red power off slider appears. If it does, just keep holding it.
Wait until the white Apple logo appears.
ok, now go to settings-->itunes&app stores-->apple ID and sign in again

My online searches have not found an answer -- I did find a discussion thread that was essentially, "Why would you want to do that?" Those posts are not welcome! Not looking for a work-around, an intermediate step, or the need to change the file format on a computer, etc. Just want to hit the two buttons and have the resulting capture be a JPEG file.
Not interested in jailbreaking or using apps that require jailbreak -- Want to do this with a new phone.

Hi, as my nick states, I'm new here. I'm new to Nokia too and I got an 2760 (I know not the latest model) as gift. Since the battery from my old phone is almost ruined, I'm using it. What baffles me - in the manual I can't find how to change the start-up screen (Nokia) or better, how to block it. This was possible with my old one, but with this one?
To make matters even more complex - it used to be a T-Mobile model (I'm no T-Mobile subscriber) and the menu differs even from the (very short) manual...
I'm lost - can anybody help?

you could go to settings, then itunes and app stores. you should see an option caleed apple id with your apple id to the side of it. click on it and select the option view apple id. you will have to type in your password. then you will see the details of your acoount. next, select the option called country/region. you will be able to select australia from the list of stores. you willl then change your billling adress (you should be directed). Fill in your adress in australia with your zip code and you will be done.

Changing the Attachment List of Generic Object Services (GOS)

Dear Experts,
i want to add columns to the attachment list of GOS depending of the given objecttype. The data to be displayed is from a customer-append of different TOAXY-tables. I want to use the functionality of the standard attachmentlist, but the type of the displayed table is defined as SGOS_ATTA and cant be reached directly because of the data-encapsulation.
Is there anybody with experience in changing the attachment list in the above mentioned way?
Do i have to modify all the used classes of the attachmentlist, or are there any customer-exits/badis that can help me to reach my goal?
Or should I implement my own service from the scratch?
I hope you can help me, i searched the web for about 3 days now...

I copied the following classes and changed them in some way to fit my requirements:
1.CL_GOS_ATTACHMENTS
2.CL_GOS_SRV_ATTACHMENT_LIST
3.CL_LIST_BROWSER
Changes to the Classes:
1.Type of the attribute GO_INSTANCE changed to ZCL_GOS_ATTACHMENTS.
   Changed method INIT_BROWSER:
go_browser ?=
    zcl_list_browser=>zcreate_browser( cl_browser=>gc_list_browser ).
2.Type of the attribute GO_ATTACHMENT_LIST changed to ZCL_GOS_ATTACHMENTS
3. Copied Method CREATE_BROWSER of Class CL_BROWSER to ZCREATE_BROWSER:
